Why not just make them a metavariant of the dwarf? Making them a new metaspecies seems uncalled for when you have the tools to implement them without an actual house rule.

There are a thousand ways to reply to the previous post. The chosen reply however is really more baiting than not. The report was all that was required.
Stepping back to the previous issue: Dumpshock has a Manage Ignored Users function in My Controls. Might I suggest that you simply ignore
each other?

AFAIK, the player didn't ask for 'immortal', just "hundred years plus old elf". That fits 'spike baby' perfectly.
The subject header is 'immortal' and a spike baby is just a normal elf who was born early. In theory a spike baby could have been born in 1776 but he would have looked old by the centenial. To look unaged is immortal. If the player wants his character to be that old and going on runs with a zimmer frame, then he would be a spike baby.

The subject heading only says immortal becasue the original poster did not know there was such a thing as spike babies.
The first post further specifies that the player wanted an elf older than a hundred years, but the GM did not know how that could be done short of having the character be immortal.
The original poster even thanked us pages ago for the spike baby information since that was what they were looking for.
As for elven age, I am pretty sure that they live around 400 years normally and only seem to age at the very end of that. So a spike baby born in 1872 (for example) would be 200 years old, but still look like all the other elves born in the last sixty years.
Assuming the character survives the shadows, they will "get old" in the early 2200s over a century before almost all other elves do.
The real issue (IMHO) is that anyone even two-hundred years old should have more skills and abilities than a starting character possibly could, but that resolutuion is between the player and the GM. For all we know this is a great role-player with a cool idea that will enhance the game for everyone.
In summary, we do not have to badger anyone with such an idea, about it being inately munchkiny. A simple warning that in the hands of a poor player it might be, should suffice; followed by a simple answer to the question asked.
