So what was worse? His bark or his bite?

He couldn't bark. He could screech though. But I'd have to say that his bite was worse.

And are you sure it was not just a plant spirit possessing the staff? Sounds more like a trickster having a bit of a go.

The way I understand things, the player wasn't the one who chose per say. But at the point in the game that I do have knowledge of (I joined in the middle) it's a known certainty that it's a shapeshift, yes.

Wait, that was a joke?

Then what the hell did I just buy on Amazon? O_O

The new supplement, GURPS: VeggieTales.

Reading preview #4's combat chapter and focusing on just your typical fisticuffs or busting a clip into someone's ass scenarios, with the Inherent Limit or Accuracy limiting the number of hits you can achieve, in addition, every two Stun boxes counting as only one Physical box when the Stun track is full, I noticed that new SR5 will be less lethal than 4E. Personally I was hoping it would be a bit more like Call of Cthulhu, where combat is really deadly. Or will there be a separate section in the new core book that will cover adding extra lethality to the game?

It's really simple. Guns do like a million fucking damage now. On my first draft of the gear chapter they did proportionally a bit more than in 4E. Then that got completely rewritten by the line dev. Now a single SMG round does damage like a sniper rifle did in 4E. Assault rifles do damage like assault cannons did in 4E. Sniper rifles can shoot through schools.

In short...

Guns will fucking cut you wide open.

Melee weapon damage is now based on Strength, not 1/2 Strength. Swords will also...y'know. Cause generally speaking, your number of CM boxes has not changed. Armor can't be stacked anymore and hence has gone down.

Won't it generally be higher for low-Body characters now?
