Well thank you. If you feel that way than I hope I am playing him well.
My real life group (pretty much all but dissolved it seems) and I always seemed to play your straight up combatant type characters. Not that there's anything wrong with that, my all time fav char of mine is an ork ganger, but I like trying out little personality quirks here and there.
Hey Silverspur...Codec seems to be the opposite of my char Deuce eh? Deuce was arrogant, obnoxious, conceited. He spoke his mind despite the fact no one asked for it and was basically bossy. Codec hardly speaks up. Hmmm I really never thought of that when I made Codec.
Anyways, thank you very much.
GAME ON!!!

Just a point to avoid confusion. Flip & Seeoh do a lot of joint posts, so when you see a post that's mainly Flip but sent by Rakshasa, it's just that I was on oline and doing the typing.

That girlfriend of yours getting in the way again? *L*
It's not a problem. It just felt like when we RPG at my house and ppl aren't allowed to smoke inside and since I am the only non smoker they all get up at once every so often and go smoke, I'm left sitting at the table. *L*
Also I will say that I am enjoying the interaction and personalities of the characters. I like that part of RPG'ing just as much as the action stuff.

That was a good roll by seeoh, for electronics she got 15, and a 4 with target numbers of 4!
As for the Chevvy, the stats are:
Handling:4
speed:100
Accel:8
body:3
Armor: dream on!
sig:2
Autonav:1
Sensor:1
Cargo:10
Load:110

Just a little busy here, and admittingly, not quite sure what Codec should do next
GunnerJ
Nov 8 2003, 05:53 PM
Ace basically said his peace for now, he's waiting for someone else to say something to respond to. He's really not the "ringleader/planner" type. If no one says anythign for a while, he might make a suggestion.

Hmm.....
You will probably get something from us two tomorrow morning - I have been temping in this factory and it's completely knackering... I'm dead on my feet, but I have tomorrow off...
Not that I really know what to do - I'm waiting for feedback on Codec's search for alternate entry points... run a quick matrix bit would be my suggestion, Silverspur!
Silverspur_2020
Nov 9 2003, 12:22 PM
I used to do temp work, did it for two years!... you have my pity! hard work, under paid and you generally get treated like scum by the people employing you!! I will do a quick matrix run by codec then!

Gunner, just to let you know.... I havent got much planned for the outside of the building. not until it becomes time to vacate the area later, are you going to be happy waiting for the others outside? the one bonus to the current plan is that you have that old chevy to play with and use as a decoy if need be. but if you go into the building...there might be more you can do...
GunnerJ
Nov 12 2003, 03:54 PM
Thanks for the heads up, but the plan that everyone agreed upon was for Ace to be ready with the getaway and to play lookout in case anything shady goes down outside. Using this knowledge to completely change Ace's role would be sort of meta-gaming, I think.
Of course, if it becomes clear that they really need backup down there, Ace just might lock up the van and come running.

Nov 13 2003, 11:11 AM
sure thing.....was just trying to make sure that everyone enjoyied the game!
GunnerJ
Nov 13 2003, 03:12 PM
Oh, I am having fun, even though I'm taking sort os a less active role here. And I have
absolutely no doubt that the getaway will make up for this.
Silverspur_2020
Nov 14 2003, 11:23 AM
my only question is what happened to the old chevy that was going to be used? you going to sell that off or something?
Rakshasa
Nov 14 2003, 03:08 PM
Flip & Seeoh left the chevvy a block away and left a note under the door of the brownstone where they boosted it from.
Technically, Ace or whoever could still purloin it and sell it to a chop shop or whatever.
Rakshasa
Nov 14 2003, 06:52 PM
Oops, we've just noticed that the Team didn't bring the remaining explosives out of the tunnel.
Will the other 28 gel packs also go KABLOOEE!?
Silverspur_2020
Nov 16 2003, 01:55 PM
hmmmm.... Well normally explosives would go off with the rest of it... but they are using commercial C4- so it wouldnt go off as it needs to be directly linked to the detonator..
but next time I wont be so kind! you have been warned!

Nov 16 2003, 02:06 PM
I have just looked at the charecter sheets for everyone in the group.... I would like to point out that NEITHER Flip or Seeoh have any skills relating to demolitions, either active or knowledge! Which could make for an interesting situation!
Now im going to need help here, because I need to know how (if I decide to do it) I am going to make any rolls for what you do with the explosives... But just so that you know, Bluebird has demolition skills....she used to be a hitwomen!

You'd probably have to use the default attribute (I am unsure what it is, I don't have my main book with me) and yes it could be interesting indeed!

True, but unless she tells us she knows how to use them...well we'd be back to our interesting situation
Rakshasa
Nov 16 2003, 03:16 PM
We did notice that missing skill bit. However, our logic - if you can call it that - was that Seeoh is an Irishwoman who came from Ireland when she was small. Brought up by her parents and gaining much from the tuition of her Grandfather who, also being Irish, knew an awful lot of people back in `the old country'.......
Need we say more?
C4, gelignite, gunpowder - plus Seeoh does have soem electronics skills I think.
It's her throwing skill I'm worried about......
Drain Brain
Nov 16 2003, 10:25 PM
Demolitions defaults to intelligence... d'oh!
Silverspur_2020
Nov 17 2003, 12:35 PM
Well Seeoh has athletics... and you can fairly argue that throwing would be an athletic skill, so with some modifications to the target numbers and things I will use that.
And as for Flip, Seeoh was watching over him while he did it... so its a combination of his intelligence and Seeoh's electronics.

I really wouldnt recommend the van idea... I really cant see it working, as a player or a GM! Codec can cut the wires and swap/cut the surveilance but it will be a hard task as he is invading a closed system, any Security rigger/decker would have a big advantage if it ever came to combat.
Just thought I would let you know!

Okay so I'll take that as "Don't even think about it" Frankly I don't think that Codec is equipped or knowledgable in the electronics department. He's more for in Matrix type stuff. If he can get to a jackpoint and upload that program, that'd take care of the cameras

Still looking for hostile vehicles. What's the status on the LS chopper?
Rakshasa
Nov 24 2003, 11:57 PM
Just a thought. Seeoh could cast invisibility on Codec and, perhaps, Bluebird. I've taken a look at what juice Seeoh has and I think she could do it. That way, Codec's got his back covered if he does find a jacking in point.
Mysterio
Nov 25 2003, 02:05 AM
Just a quick apology. Codec is the first (and only) decker I have built. He's my first character that is not a fighter-type. I realize that I should have given him some electronics skill. OOps! Sorry guys that he kinda didn't fit into the going plan.
Silverspur_2020
Nov 25 2003, 02:31 PM
Thats ok....everyone has to build a first charecter at some stage!! I have made loads of Riggers in the past (being my favourite charecter) and I still miss things or find new ways to improve them!
Thats where to be honest you could do with Ace learning to be a bit of a security rigger as well as a vehicle rigger, because then it wouldnt be a problem...
Rakshasa
Nov 25 2003, 08:58 PM
I left it at casting on Codec, just in case the dice don't roll my way.
If Seeoh succeeds, she'll cast on Bluebird - assuming she agrees -
If both casts succeed, someone tell them to hold hands or something, they wont be able to see each other either.
