No need to apologise. I've been having a rough semester, so it's not that big a deal that I haven't been taking the most active role EVAR in this run. And as I said, I have no doubt that the getaway will make up for it.

Tony (Flip) is in a show ATM, 2 performances a day. Ergo, there may be a delay in "what happens next" so far as Flip is concerned.
If he's not too tired, when he gets back tonight, I'll play typist and he can dictate what Flip does. But don't hold your breath.

Silver, I'd just like to make explicit that my

me.

Since I personally know next to nothing when it comes to electronics and stuff, I'm not going to have Codec go into detail. I just said that he starts to talk Flip through it, if that's okay....

Alladin - the Pantomime - playing PC Pong, a Chinese Policeman. Part of a comedy duo with a guy (Sargent Ping would you believe?) who works as a TV star in Spain when not `treading the boards'.
Show runs in Sevenoaks, Kent till 4th January 2004.
Then it's back to the factory if Tony's Agent doesn't ring with another acting job.

Just so we're clear, what's a "culvert?"
Also, Seeoh has brass fucking balls. Just thought I'd mention that.
Rakshasa
Dec 21 2003, 12:04 AM
A culvert is, probably, a Brit thing. It's a tunnel, usually under a road or similar that takes storm water, or sometimes a stream. Often man, more usually vehicle size. It's the sorrt of thing that might have been built under the target building to siphon off excess water from the quarry/mine.
And no, Seeoh has brass knuckle dusters
Silverspur_2020
Dec 22 2003, 12:42 PM
Well I have never heard them called culverts before...but I know what you mean and thats the main thing!
by the way, I may be stating the obvious for me and everyone else...but if this slows down over the next few weeks its due to xmas and all the normal family things that need to be done during that time!! hence why no posts this weekend!

True true. As of the 24th, I will have worked 15 of the last 16 days (I got last Wednesday off. yahoo!
) I work in a mall and it's frickin' busy!!!!
I'll try to keep checking posts in the next few days.

Just so everyone knows: Dave has had more "jobs" than anyone I know - I can't count them all, let alone remember them! The main one he had, though, while I was growing up was as an "EHO" (that's "Environmental Health Officer"). Basically, he spent a LOT of time up to his ankles in... sewers.
If it's called a culvert in his language, then it's probably a smart-arse term... to the rest of us plebs it's "a big frickin' hole..."

Dave will post later today (30thGMT) and Tony will post tomorrow - he's a busy person atm, panto and a gig tomorrow night (NYEve) which wont finish till well past midnight. Still, only 7 more performances after today.

I envisage Seeoh running up the ramp of the underground car park, passing, undetected, the security Guard(s) and legging it till she finds a suitable trash can - or cans - to drop her presents into. Heading for the culvert, and Ace, whom she has forwarned, along with the others, before she presses the remote for the fireworks.....
Unless??????????
GunnerJ
Dec 30 2003, 10:53 PM
Let's straighten out the order of events here.
1) Seeoh breaks into and hotwires the van in the parking garage
2) Sometime around then, Ace finds a tunnel or other underground meeting place to wait for the crew. (The crew is informed of this location.)
3) Seeoh finds a place to create the distraction, does so, and informs the crew of this.
4) The crew takes the van in the garage to where Ace is waiting while Seeoh hoofs it.
5) The crew is reunited, rides off into the sunset, collects the money, and LS is none the wiser, A WINNAR IS US, assuming that all goes as planned, which is probably not a valid assumption!
Silverspur_2020
Dec 31 2003, 06:14 PM
Well lets just hope it works... I shall assume that Seeoh hotwired the van (I did the roles, and they were good enough- but the van isnt great!) and anyway, I think the sooner we can get on with the run the better!
So...Two points down and three to go!

I think it'd be appropriate for the GM to decide on what kind of hinding spot for the switch Ace can find on the map, instead of dictating a lot of favorable conditions for myself.
GunnerJ
Jan 4 2004, 04:22 PM
Just so everyone knows, I'm simply reluctant to dictate a favorable circumstance to myself: I'm waiting for Silver to tell me if Ace finds anything good on the map. I have no idea how Seattle's street geography is laid out, IRL or in SR, so it's be batter for the GM to dictate this.
EDIT: Well, I'm repeating ymself. Sorry, just wanted to make it clear why Ace was, um, not doing much.

Just to clarify my
post, when Codec thinks about what he got already in lines of nuyen, I'm refering to the money he got for the info on the celebs vs what he spent on the program as well as the money that was given out to everyone to buy some supplies. I think it was given to Codec so he could buy the tap needed for the run, but he found it on his doorstep, thus saving some cash. Sneaky little cyber geek eh?

After the meet I am going to start winding this mission down... so if anyone wants to GM the next mission please say now, likewise if they want to change charecter!! I'm in and I'm happy with Seeoh, though she may `upgrade' a little, depending on how much she gets from this present run.
Silverspur_2020
Jan 11 2004, 10:22 AM
Well on those two points- I do find it hard to roleplay deckers when they are jacked into the matrix, but then again you dont learn to improve by running away from something... so if you want to stick with codec then feel free, I have no problems, but if you want to change, I also have no problems with that either.
As far as money is concerned for this run, I think if memory serves me... it was 14,000 total for the run with 7,000 in advance and then 7,000 on completion.

Jan 11 2004, 03:28 PM
So, if someone else GMs, will you play Bluebird as a character? Just curious how you want to work this. Also, I'm in for further fun.

Silverspur_2020

An opinion: Better the GM that you know............!!!!! Even if said GM is Playing a Character as well - I do it all the time when I'm Bossing a Game, makes for giving bum steers whenever you feel like the situations getting out of hand.
A Question: Does the new Run get a new Title - cos it wont be a "New Beginning" anymore.

Good Point.
And as for my 0.2
I'm up for another run, preferably with Flip, and I#m open to any GM who wants to take a bash... well, except Rakshasa! I'm not quite confident enough yet to want to try my hand GMing on here - I want to play a few more runs first to get a feel for it!

lol- I do find it helpful to have a charecter to help "guide" people in a particular direction if I feel it is needed!!
and yes, it will start with two new threads..... one OOC and one IC - so you all know now so you can get ready to email me or talk to me in the forums, the next run will start a few weeks after this run has taken place (in game time that is) so it your charecters want to buy anything with their money such as a control rig for the van *hint hint* then we all have time to sort money out, and do anything your charecters may want to do in between runs, such as Bluebird would look into buying a new rifle, Ace would look into doing some mods to the van etc etc....
and I was looking at Flips sheet yesterday and wondered if any modifications would happen with him? now he may "think" hes a pro he may look into getting some contacts who may train him to use a gun better, or how to be the best street fighter around.... just a thought, if you wanna talk about it, no need to say forum if you dont want to...just email me.
Same goes for anyone, if they want to do something to/with their charecter in secret in those couple of in game weeks then let me know and we will see what we can sort out!
anyone wanna email me its: jon_ridgeway@yahoo.co.uk
