I guess... but I will never know for sure

Well, i just got in from about a 12 hour drive back to NC from Indy. I started this thread to kinda just tell people about my gencon weekend. I was planning to update it every morning with the days happenings. Yeah after playing SR until 4am every morning, just getting to the conn in time for our 1pm games was rough. And it seems most people have just put up game info, which is kewl, so far I have found most of Sr4 to be balanced.
This sunday morning when i woke up i KNEW what i wanted to say here. That I was sad that I could not buy a copy of SR4 even though thats basically why i convinced my group to go to Gencon. And guys that did not get a book, I feel your pain. Because we like everyone else wanted a copy of Sr4, but just could not go on the 2 hours of sleep to get up and be waiting in line at 8am for the con doors to open at 10. So we had decided that we were going to have to do without the LE and just wait until we could just buy the new edition at home. The only thing left we had to do at the con was stop by to see how we did at the Sr tournament. We knew we had completed the run* which if anyone wants, and it is allowed to speak of, I would love to do a report on* but, did not think we had done it in a exemplary way. There was lots of death, and just plain getting caught which just leads to death via HTR teams. Anyway, Brett I think was the name of the GM announcing the winners of the Corp. Ghost tournament. When he announced 3 places, I was very optimistic that we might get 3rd and a nice copy of SOA. But that went to I think a "kingston/kinston" group. So after that, everyone in my group had their hopes go into the crapper. A team leo, took second and WAS not even there to collect the 6 reg. SR4 manuals. GUYS get in touch with people if you can

Well the big buildup here is not for naught. When first place was announced all 5 of my teammates looked around the room for the winning team, then looked at each other in awe. WOOT

we won

And the reason why was ... i am very proud to say, thanks to a great group of friends and teammates and GM's *not to forget lady luck, cuz thats all you got when your hacking a red 20

*. At 1pm this afternoon my friends and I's con experience went from moderately enjoyable to lifelong memory. That will be my memory of Gencon, not the lines or the high priced food and hotel room, or the 12 hours of pain driving, nor even the lack of sleep.
Sometime, if anyone wants, I will put up a day to day on what happened at the Con SR wise, and like i said i would love to be able to tell the story of our run. If its ok and that run is not going to be used again, I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
well I am off to sleep, if anyone cares I was the white guy in a black shirt with glasses, 6'1 180 pounds. no goatee. black hair with a kinda short haircut. Its was nice to be able to put a face to some of the people i have talked to here.
