QUOTE (Meriss)
Also why the Hot Sim module?

So we can feel, really feel, the pain.
WearzManySkins
Well we could arrange for them to eat sardines and croton oil sandwiches, or we could put phenolphayline(sp) into the water.

Since last I recall the water was chlorine/fluorine treated, so the amount of fecal matter needed would be noticeable.

A Bishop - Is it necessary to crack the programs? Why not just use the individual copies? Most people don't need Armor, Attack, Spoof, Black Hammer, etc. Most of your team isn't decking smile.gif I don't even think everyone even has the necessary skills. Just a thought. Obviously if you want everyone in the party to have a black hammer 6, then you're welcome to put the time in.

@ All - It feels like you guys are floundering again. As much as I don't want to step on your toes while you're talking, but we really need to pick a plan and move forward with the actual legwork. Half the weeks gone by and nobody's really starting the legwork part of this yet. As much as I enjoyed writing the first large post, I don't want to sit down and write every run/action scene ;D

I'll be posting to response to the questions about the Dissemblers tonight. Are there any other knowledge skills people think are applicable? Do you need any other info from me to move forward?

BishopMcQ
I need to crack all of them before uploading. The short list that I chose will be used for myself, the agents, and to trade for other programs on the data haven. (My plan is to defend each of the non-hackers links and devices. It will also give them the ability to pull some of their data searches by tasking an agent.)

Doh!! I think you're probably right with that one. Good catch.

I feel we have had some great dialog working towards a plan. I personally was looking forward to more information on the gang/area etc as we continue our dialog.

Perhaps we should go two weeks instead of one? Still a firm deadline, but gives the players more time to put a plan together..? {nudge, nudge, hint, hint.. smile.gif }
Meriss
@Fenris: Well you are correct. Right now leg work has been confined to us trying to get our drek together after that awesomely executed run. Thank you. But I'm going to propose a stakeout as soon as I get locations and turf. Also what day of the week is it IC?

@Rest: Any body up for coming with Dervish on a stakeout? I'm going to try as many methods as I can over about three days. I figure three is enough to get a decent sense of their sched. Thus giving us comings and goings for stealth hits and other drek.
Redjack
@Meriss
Atreus will accompany. He can show you what he has already found out. The pair of them can start by looking through nearby buildings for cameras and people doing lookout from outside the compound.
Fenris
@ Meriss - Let's say Monday. As for information about the Dissemblers, you already know where their major hangout is. You know the major rivals include Troll Killers (human only anti-metahuman gang) and The First Nations (Native American).
BishopMcQ
Just make a list of Data Searches and they'll get done.
DireRadiant
Can someone summarize what we know about the Disassemblers again?

Sweetness will go play street bum and walk the 'hood near the Disassemblers, talking to other street people to find out information. Interested in finding out details in how the gang operates. e.g. Gang signs, how they recruit, how they tell someone is in the gang, gang slang etc. How to impersonate someone in the gang.

The other thing he will do is every hour so as he moves around send a Watcher to probe the location. Buy hits on summoning and drain, one hour service. Watcher to initially search for Wards and magical protections, awakened people in the gang. By moving around Sweetness hopes he will be a little harder to be tracked back to when the Watchers are detected.

Standard practice to have a F3 Spirit of Man on call, summon every dusk and dawn, 8 dice in summoning, with a watcher spirit summoned every hour to serve as astral lookout for Sweetness personally.

Of course Sweetness will predominately be out at night.

Unless the Disassemblers move in High Society or are paranormal in soem way I don't think Sweetness has knowledge skills.

One possible contact who may know more is the Street Doc contact, but that's only if the gangs activity relates in some way to a charitable street clinic.

@Dire:

QUOTE (Multiple sources)

They are organ leggers. I don't know of any meta-type bias. These are a mid-tier gang. They work a number of places in Seattle and I would imagine triple digit+ total membership. We already know where their major hangout is (IC post by Redjack) . You know the major rivals include Troll Killers (human only anti-metahuman gang) and The First Nations (Native American).

Hmmm. Not a friendly bunch o' folks. Watch your six. Dervish is twenty minutes behind Sweetness, And will follow him on the rooftops and stuff. I'm going to need Athletics rolls right boss man?
DireRadiant
Thanks Meriss.

Then Sweetness will contact ,L4 C3 - Aurora "Stapler" Shaara - Street Doc, and ask if she knows anything about them.

Guardian angel or demon? Does it matter?

Hmm, I think the get taken in as a donor infiltration method is a bit risky, but might work if they do the chopping in house rather then strip parts and then bring them in.
Redjack
Here are my tactics and some rolls for the recon of the Disassembler's armory locale.

Every commlink and piece of electronics that was handed to Porter will have a R6 Agent loaded with Analyze 6, Exploit 5, Armor 6, Attack 6 and Stealth 6. It is programmed in non-combat operations, such as when told to run a data search that it will replace the Attack 6 with a Browse 6 which is loaded on to the device.
BishopMcQ
Hey RedJack, would you mind deleting Riley's post from the IC thread? It's a bit distracting...
Redjack
Done.
I noticed he is a new member so I PM'd him about IC vs OOC threads as well.
Riley37
My bad. Thanks to Redjack for tapping me gently with the clue-bat; I shoulda realized it would break the fourth wall. Thanks to all-y'all for a good story, and sorry for the mis-post!

Riley
Meriss
@Riley: NP glad you're enjoying our narrative.
Meriss
@Bishop: I hate adding to Porter's workload But can I get an Edit, when he has a free minute? I need it for my Latex mask

@Fenris: Following Redjack's example and dumping a bunch of rolls

IC the plan is to use my stealth skills to follow and protect Sweetness. I will also be checking the Dissassemblers hideout for the usual; weak spots, exits, possible entrances, power and water lines.

[ Spoiler ]
BishopMcQ
@Meriss--I can give you Edit 6 without adding to my workload.

@All--Does anyone want any data searches?
WearzManySkins
@BishopMcQ
Yes Clay would like one

WMS
BishopMcQ
As I said above, just post the list of data searches you want and I will get them done.
Meriss
@Bishop: Thanks for the Edit.

BTW--In case people missed it, each of your electronic pieces was outfitted with an Agent. Most of you will want to use the commlinks which gives you 12 dice for data searches.

Fenris--I completely forgot to account for my updated systems, so each of my rolls above should have 2 extra dice. My bad...I'm not going to go back and add them.
Fenris
Alright boys and girls, it has become painfully obvious to me over the last two weeks that there's no way I'm going to juggle 34 units at University and still run my threads on the board, in addition to studying for the GMAT and still maintaining any kind of social life with family and friends.

So, no offense intended, but you guys are lowest priority on my list. I'm going to go ahead and end the games for the moment. If you're all still interested, I'll have a lot more time after the semester ends (mid-December), so I'll probably check in with you individually to see if you want to revive the threads.

I'm sorry to have to do this, I honestly thought I'd be able to keep the threads running throughout. However, you guys made very excellent, memorable characters, and I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to do more with them. I hope you'll all come back when I re-instate the threads in a few months.
Redjack
So with school over is there going to be a resurrection here?
Fenris
Eeehhh....the short answer is, no.

The long answer follows:

I've been reviewing the way things were going, and as much as I liked the premise and the characters, it just didn't flow the way I wanted it to. The biggest problem I ran into is that the "motivator" character that I needed as sort of the lynch pin of the thread was an NPC, and I lost track of that character in both threads and forgot to use them to push things forward. I want to stick with the constant update format, but I don't want to end up writing short stories every time the players get bogged down before a deadline.

So, as a compromise, I want to try again with, but this time I'm going to make the "motivator/leader" character another PC. That way I don't have to try and wrangle all of the PC's -and- play that NPC as well. With the leader character as a PC, I'll not only have a character invested in moving the storyline forward, but I'll also have someone else that can make final decisions, and keep the threads from turning into a constant "Shadowplan" session.

So, I'll be setting up a recruitment thread next week. I'm going to give players returning from these two threads with these characters highest priority, with secondary priority given to players from these threads with new characters. It will be one large thread, to try and keep things rolling through the inevitable attrition. However, I'm not sure which of two concepts I have that I'll be using, which is why the thread will be going up next week wink.gif

I'll post here with the name of the new thread once it's up.
Fenris
