Doggies (both) and they should be on the opposite side of where Rex is-trying to get them in crossfire.

Invisible Castle has upgraded their site.
Dice Rolling now supports "hits" and "hitsopen"
nd6.hits(5) : This will roll
n dice and count the hits (a hit defined as a d6 roll of 5+)
Example: 5d6.hits(5) → [5,5,6,2,6] = (4)nd6.hitsopen(5,6) : This will roll
n dice and count the hits (a hit defined as a d6 roll of 5+). It will also add an extra die for any value of 6.
Example: 7d6.hitsopen(5,6) → [[6, 6, 3],4,1,4,4,3,5] = (3)It also supports linking rolls by campaign. Please use

Hey RedJack and all. Sorry again that I had to bail from the game.
I read along my team's IC posts today (first time I log on to DS in 6+ months) and I'm happy to see that things went on and that my character has even been taken up by a new player. I just felt like dropping to say hi. And RJ you're doing a great job GMing this.
Ok that was all I'm out again.

I have been real happy with the game. Some changing of the guard in the intervening months, but great role-playing.

Rex gets a max aiming bonus equal to 1/2 his weapon skill.
Agility(6) + Automatics(5) + Specialization[SMG](2) + Reflex Recorder(1) + Aiming(3) + Range(negated by Vision Magnification) + Attacker firing from cover(-2) + Smartgun(2)
If you fire a burst, you need to choose Wide Burst(+2 to hit) or Narrow Burst(+2DV).
He can fire 2 bursts per combat action. He has 4 points of recoil compensation so the second shot has Recoil(-2) and of course the aiming will have expired.
The dobermans have Pilot(4) + Targeting(3) = dp7; Pilot(3) + Targeting(3) = dp6;
Jake has no gunnery skill so I wouldn't recommend jumping into the drones, rather just issuing commands.

You rolled with hitsopen, instead of hits. The former indicates the spending of edge. You can only spend edge for your actions, not those you delegate... so the edge does not apply for the dobermans.
[[6, 2],1,3,1,4,3,[6, 5],2,5,5,5,4,1,4,1,2,4] = (6)
If you mean to pre-spend edge you also get your edge added to your dp. So you need to:
1) Roll one more dice
2) Drop the one hit from exploding six ([6, 5]) for 5 base hits.
[5,[6, 1],[6, 4],[6, 3],2,1,5] = (5 4)
Should have been 6d6.
[5,2,2,4,2,[6, 5]] = (3 2)
No edge can be spent here, so sixes can't explode.

I guess I am still tired and all. I've been working for 12hours or more for past two weeks I'll rol again and do things right.

If Carter finds the commlink, what tests do you want to make a "backup" copy of the PDA section--appointments, contact phone numbers, etc. The plan is to copy the data onto his own commlink and then ditch the link.
Also from a data recovery standpoint, is it reasonable for Carter to believe that a gunshot to the commlink will do a good enough job at destroying the data? Not trying to beat the system entirely, but to get the basic effect of a bullet through a modern hard drive.
Redjack
Jan 31 2008, 03:32 PM
Make a hardware(2) test.

Ok, the Russian doesn't flinch when told to hand over his admin code for the com. His morale is fully shattered.
Insuring you get everything off the com will require a software(2) test. Accessing, using the com and a standard backup are all things generally done by users and require no test.
Carter knows its possible to destroy a com and have the data irretrievable. He also knows that some of the guys in his former life have done an amazing job retrieving data. Being sure that it is destroyed in a fashion that makes it irretrievable will require a hardware(2) test.

Making a standard backup, putting a few rounds in it and praying the Vory don't have access to high caliber facilities and data specialists.
General plan is to let the kid go, if he dies before medical assistance arrives, that's too bad. Then, start driving and get directions from the Russian as to where we can find Yavanna.

To clarify, Carter sent the message to Grayson/Greer's commlink. I don't think we were givern Jack's LTG. (My reason for stating that it was never returned is because i knew OOC that the commlink was fried.)

This is my understanding as well. Carter sent the message to Grayson. The message is still sitting on a shadow server waiting to be picked up once Grayson/Greer gets his comlink fixed.
