nobody's looked through Lilith's gear listing yet, have they? She has 30+ drones, most of which have LMGs or better.
I saw, and found it hilarious to have a swarm of hover drones so large that you need a Nexus to run all of them. Does nicely to make up for our lack of numbers.

Our less than friendly ghosty friend, adrian, had become a nonentity. Meanwhile, his far more friendly replacement has formed a small robotic commando squad of her own, which wasn't mentioned at all. I vote start over. It'll be easier in the long run

I've been working on that for days now so it's a bit on the large side and there might still be some editing errors in the spoilers. Think I got it all though.
I just remembered I forgot starting cash, I'll just stick that in here...

Danger Close is shipping pretty much everything except for his personal commlink and a few days of clothes, since all of his gear is indisputably military hardware, and none of it is even remotely discrete.
Having landed in London, he's going to wander around sightseeing until someone suggests otherwise.

My apologies. Most of my free time has been taken up with Wednesday's game, preparation for a Shadowrun game on Thursdays, & my birthday yesterday; I have not really had a chance to more than glance at the boards for a while.
I am meeting with the other Shadowrun GM shortly, but should have an IC post up later tonight. If it is not up by Wednesday morning, continue without me & I will join the next mission.

It occurs to me that altering gear adapted for the desert to be suitable for polar action ought to be pretty easy.
They are already altered to operate in a low water environment and to prevent environmental contamination.
All that would have to be done is to change any filters/baffles so that they prevent water contamination rather than sand ingress.
Anything that isn't already adapted can be converted given access to a relevant shop and a couple of hours for weapons and 12 for vehicles.

The only issue I'd forsee would be adding insulation to everyone's armor, and (other than being an overmodification in DC's case) even that's fairly trivial. Should be amusing walking around as a 950lb troll carrying another 900 pounds of weapons and ammunition, though. Definitely going to need a big, big, big pair of snowshoes.

Feb 25 2009, 10:15 PM
Armor capacity is OPTIONAL rule and is NOT in play. I'm going to rejigg dust a bit as he doesn't need some skills he has that i forgot he had. Changed manged to boost his agility to 8 and add a few more skills. Just realise i said artic not antartic in my post fixed.

If folks want to mention a few highlights during the meal, that's fine. But I would not want to try to roleplay the smalltalk that is essential to learning to work together as a team. (I have enough trouble doing small talk in real life, except if it is the classic OO programming language.)

Completely fine with skipping the small talk and fading to black on the idle dinner conversation.
And still looking forward to blanketing a tennis court sized swathe of ice in incindiary grenades to see how far down it will melt.

@Mickle
[ Spoiler ]
Any attempts to find information about DangerClose should turn up a wealth of information on him starting with Crash 2.0, since he's an employee of a legitimate mercenary staffing firm. He spends most of his time contracted to small corporations and small nations bolstering one side or the other in territorial disputes over resources. He operates primarly in Africa and western Asia though he's been all over the world. When he's not doing what you'd expect from a cyberware and bioware laden troll, he's working as an instructor, training the armies of his usual clientele. No subltety, little finesse, and a lot of smoke and fire seem to be his hallmarks.

thanks!
I forgot to mention that to everyone. Unless A) Dumori, or B) you decide that I would find specific information, I'm going to assume that I find basic information from the wikki (IE: metatype, generalities about what you do(like DC blows things up, dusty shoots things at range, etc), and other similar things).

You will find most legal data on Seraph without issue. You will not find anything conclusive on her shadow identity, unless your contact has access to the Deep Resonance (in which case, I leave it to Dumori to decide what is learned). You will find a number of rumors about her, but no information whatsoever on shadow jobs she has taken (with possible exception of this one). You will not find any form of conformation on her Infected nature, & the only rumors are clearly unreliable.
If you have any questions in particular, feel free to send me a PM.

only doomed if they have any awesome tech...
OOO! do you think that they'll let Lilith operate their automated security? *insert evil laugh here*
DWC
Mar 26 2009, 02:56 PM
I think Lilith might BE their automated security. When you're that isolated, you don't need a ton of security, since the logistics of attacking you will greatly reduce the number of threats you face. The downside is that anyone who makes it to you to attack your site is going to be a very serious threat.
Still kicking myself for not making DC an adept, by the way. Feel left out not having a magic rating.

Edit: Who doesn't love giant trolls with traceless walk, wall running, and gliding?
Mickle5125
Mar 26 2009, 03:01 PM
hmm... we need to make sure that the negotiations include receiving specs of their current security and supplies for the improvement of said security.
Huh... I'm glad Lilith can multitask so well. Her usefulness just keeps going up

Also curious how much they'll let us use the desktop forges at the facility. Being able to fabricate spare parts on the spot would definitely reduce our operating costs once the job gets going.
