Strange, I always thought it was duct tape instead of C4...

The Force was just a metaphor for Duct Tape:

It has a light side, a dark side and it binds the universe together...

What's plan B? And who needs a plan B when the TTP will obliterate the area around its impact site and penetrate nicely.

Twice as much gunpowder as plan A, and you ALWAYS need a plan B. What if you miss?

Well, the TTP is dropped from orbit, so there's no need for gunpowder, and missing is only a problem if you're trying to hit aircraft with it. Any stationary object is toast.

No gunpowder? This is blasphemy! This is madness!

Does your weapon totally annihilate the entirety of creation? No? Then you can miss. You may need to miss by several miles for it to matter, but you can miss.

I am not of the classification of evil genius that is maniacal. Such a weapon is utterly useless to me as I would actually prefer to have something left over to rule.

Not everything I had to read in school was an awful chore. Some of it was actually somewhat enjoyable. And 1984 should absolutely be required reading for every person in the United States. And if Stranger In A Strange Land was actually required reading, Americans MIGHT just be able to have a reasonable debate about sex and the laws that surround it; I'd like to hear somebody use Heinlein's book as the basis for a response rather than the one so many seem so fond of thumping at ther rest of us heathens from their street corner soap boxes.

Amen to that...

So, glasses or goggles?
Cthulhudreams
Goggles for 'Obvious' situations and glasses for other times wink.gif

If you're wearing security armour, goggles obviousness factor isn't any less than the assault rifle and armour you already have.

Cyber eyes Preferably, but barring that, Glasses and Goggles, for seperate operational objectives...
Ravor
Cybereyes, and glasses, just because I can't fit everything I want into my cyber without going over my Essence allowance. cyber.gif

Of course, it does really suck when the glasses get dislodged in the middle of combat and I lose my smartlinks, but thems the breaks since I hate what googles does to my hair. silly.gif

Unless you are playing one of those Urban Sammies that begin the game with 0.0015 of Essence, an alfaware rating 4 cyber eye only costs 0.4 essence I think you can put everything you need in it, for everything else, there is always mastercardTM

Sorry, that was just a guess. I remember that back in the 2ed I did Troll Samurai with essence around the third decimal value, hence 0.0015.

Aye, but although I'm a huge fan of Mages getting implants, ( Rating 4 ) cybereyes puts me over the limit of what I'm willing to burn, especially since I have another eye installed in my hand. cyber.gif

OK, what movie was that in? Wasn't it Hellboy II: The Golden Army?
Ravor
Honestly I got the idea from a discussion on Dumpshock about the uses of oddball cyber such as tails. And I try very, very hard to forget that Hellboy II ever existed or that I wasted a couple hours of my life watching it.

Hey, you're the one who asserted that missing was impossible. I was just pointing out the flaw that if you shoot the wrong target, you won't hit what you want.

That being said, I'm going back to my ideal setup of cybereyes with just low-light and thermo (the only ones that benefit spellcasting), putting contacts and glasses on over them with all the other accessories.

Are there still rules regarding eyes in odd places? I seem to remember older versional having the negatives for having them as the brian isn't wired that way. Like you'd have to wear gloves while walking/running smile.gif

Three pages for me. cyber.gif

Thats why you turn the eye off when you aren't actually using it, and when you are you turn your normal cyberyes off. cyber.gif

I would rather get low-light and eyelight-system, thats better(or at least as good) in all situations in distances less then 50m.

Nope 10 sorry.

And the beautiful part is that this whole post has almost nothing to do with Glasses and goggles. It has turned into a rant about whatever topic is near and dear to the hearts of any given poster.

So with that in mind...

I like to wear goggles while baking cakes. That way when the batter splashes in my face more of it will miss my eyes. When I wear glasses, somethimes I get devo;'s food batter in my eye, and never mind contacts, they suck at keeping batter for messing up my vision.
CanRay
A friend of mine keeps swearing he'll get goggles for when he makes his hot sauce, 'cause it squirts just under his glasses every time, and he instinctively rubs his eye and...

Well, you get the idea.

Oh man! I know what he means, habenero juice should be listed as a chemical weapon!
Zaranthan
Pepper Punch, SR4A.255

The description directly states that it's made from capsaicin. I'd treat having a pepper itself (or its oil) applied to someone with the same stats.

Habaneros, however, are just deadly. I once ate one of those whole (chewed it quite thoroughly, I might add). Quite the experience.
