grendel
You don't have line of sight on any of the three remaining assailants from your current position.
Shadow
Ivan is going to be driving very conservatively, thats why he left two hours early.
bclements
grendel: How far am I away from that pillar?

Shadow: Good call, I wouldn't want to be driving quickly on a hog in that weather either. I'll carry you forward this afternoon, around 5:30 CDT.
grendel
You're nine meters away from the pillar, straightline distance from your current position.
Scrapheap
I don't know how many of you are motorcycle riders IRL, but I wouldn't want to ride a bike in snow at ANY speed.

Of course, none of the bikes I've owned have had auto-pilot, but still.
Sedna
Agreed. I've ridden a bicycle in snow (which convinced me I didn't want to ride it anywhere near traffic -- I sort of trusted my own traction, but not that of the cars around me); and the one time I've been on a motorcycle decided me strongly in favour of flat, dry straightaways.
Shadow
I-5 is fairly strait and flat so I figured it would be okay. We are talking about a troll sized Harley Scorp here, its bigger than most cars.
bclements
Yeah, riding on a donor-cycle (my personal favoriate name for them) isn't going to be comfortable in the current freak cold snap, but with a traffic jammed up it won't be dangerous.

grendel: Tony is going to run over to the pillar, and delay the remainder of his actions.

[ Spoiler ]
Cedric Rolfsson
bclements, you've obviously driven I-5 in Seattle before. biggrin.gif

That description was very nice, dead on. Seattle traffic suck's hoop in the best of time and snowy Seattle is one big traffic accident waiting to happen. Nice.
Bastard
I have driven the I 5 in Sucramento...does that account for anything.

Grendel: Instead of soaking, can Marq dodge by ducking behind the pillar?
bclements
Cedric: I've actually only been to Seattle twice, though both times I did drive I-5 from Sea-Tac to downtown. Where I'm at (Little Rock, Arkansas) has about 5 snowplows for the entire county. When it snows here, it really is the Ice Age. Bread and milk are sold out city wide, and you can see college age guys walking down icy streets with huge containers of beer biggrin.gif . I can only imagine what a city the size of Seattle would do with a large freak snowfall that isn't looked for. Thanks for the compliement!

Shadow (and grendel, I guess): You may have noticed, but I usually post the time as the ending time of my actions taken in the post. I just want to make sure that we are all on the same page.
grendel
Roll to dodge with combat pool, your target number is going to be 7.
WinterRat1
My people- long night tonight, I'll get replies up first thing in the morning at work as I can work them in.
Bastard
Do I use all of my combat pool, and does it matter how many successes I get?
grendel
You can use as much or as little of your combat pool as you want. Remember that there's a second pass in this combat turn and your combat pool won't refresh until you roll initiative again. You need to exceed the number of successes that the attacker rolled to dodge. So to dodge the first burst you'll need five successes and to dodge the second you'll need three successes.
Bastard
Well that doesnt seem likely...so I guess I will have to defend the damage

Winter - Now that I have time can I figure out if Iris has physical or just stun damage. If I can't tell just by looking at her then I will cast Treat.

WinterRat1
It's stun, not physical. Can't be healed with treat.
Slipshade
Thanks

Rules Question:

As I recall a Shaman can have more than one spirit as long as their domains do not overlap. So would it be possible to have a Storm Spirt and a City Spirit on call at the moment?

No. A shaman may only have one spirit with services owed at one time. There are two exceptions to this rule. The first is that a shaman may order a spirit to a service and then leave that spirit's domain. The spirit will continue to perform that service until it is complete or sunset/sunrise occurs, whichever is first. The second exception is for Great Form spirits.

Thanks for the clairification Grendel.

Man I need to initiate and get Invoking. But first find or create an initiatory group....hmm...

That's three successes on the first, four on the second. The attacker scored four successes on the first burst, two on the second. Marquis takes a serious stun and a moderate stun. On top of the moderate stun he already has, that'll take him to ten boxes of stun plus two light physical wounds.

What a waste!

The tavern's empty except for the aforementioned people. The fat guy looks like he may be drunk; he's off in his own little world it seems. The ork isn't taking notice of you anymore. No weapons other than semi-dirty kitchen utensils to speak of. There's a partition at the end of the dining area (think Waffle House-ish decor) that blocks off the view of another room.

Slip- Yep, they look good and fine, i didn't reply because I had no problems with them and assumed they were your final submissions. Consider them contacts.

Grendel- Thanks for covering the rules question for me, I didn't have my books at work.

Note: Work is starting to pick back up, so my past few days of furious posting must again slow down. frown.gif
Slipshade
WinterRat1 - Great, I will email you an updated Character Sheet tomorrow and believe me, I understand the work issue.
Sedna
Reminder: the poll for favourite LitS moment closes in six days.
Slipshade
WinterRat1 - I e-mailed my updated character sheet to you this morning. I highlighted the changes.

WinterRat1 - I am done for right now as well, let us know if you plan to update or not. If no then just let me know how much stun damage I get to recover and we will move on to the next morning.
bclements
grendel: so Marquis is out cold right now?
grendel
That's correct. Tony is up again on 4.
bclements
Perception then. Also, is movement continuous thruout the round?
grendel
Roll for it. And you can change movement modes during individual passes. So while Tony ran first pass, he could run, walk, or remain stationary during this pass.
bclements
Perception:

Also, I was more meaning am I closer to the pillar, or is movement a "You start the round here, end of the round you get to where your going" thing?
grendel
Movement is divided over the entire combat turn, and the distance you cover is based on your quickness. At this point, Tony is adjacent to the pillar. Given the amount of gunfire and explosions that have taken place in the last six seconds, its hard to be sure, but it sounds like the two targets that were on the south end of the pillar are headed north, in the direction where Tony knows Marquis is slumped unconscious on the ground.
bclements
Thanks for the explination. Distance to the north end of the pillar?
grendel
You're pretty much centered up on the pillar, probably only about five or six meters to the north end.
bclements
Deleted post. Really, nothing to see here.
bclements
Wait a sec, Red One and Two are headed north? And I can hear them moving?

EDIT: Re-read your post. I'll walk north, delay other actions.
grendel
Are you remaining behind cover, i.e. completely to the east of the pillar?
grendel
