Bloodmoon's still dozing away in the van . . .
Fenris
Mar 1 2005, 04:56 PM
Fu-Man Chu - Just so you know, you were on watch outside the hanger when the leader of your magical group,
Spectre, materialized in front of you. Your group had used ritual tracking to track you down, and
Spectre was shouting something about one of the group members being dead, and the other eaten, and whoever it was wanted information about you. Then the world goes black.

Everyone remembers the part of the plan where we bring the bad guys inside, question them and dispose of the bodies in whatever manner the Johnson agrees to, right?
Leowulf
Mar 6 2005, 04:42 AM
Oh.. yes.. er.. um.. that plan. Yes, it sounds familiar.
Fenris
Mar 6 2005, 04:40 PM
And everyone remembers the part earlier in the van where Joli healed Bloodmoon and she came back into consciousness, right? ;D
BishopMcQ
Mar 6 2005, 04:51 PM
She jerked up, and then we had Evans sedate her because she was screaming about something...
QUOTE |
Evans nods, reaching into the medkit hanging from his side. He draws out a syringe, pushing the slim woman down to the floor of the van and plunging the needle in quickly. He holds her for another second, as her entire body stiffens and then relaxes, and her eyes slowly drift closed. He gives Eric a quick thumbs up as Jester turns back from the front of the van. |

Mar 6 2005, 05:41 PM
Oh right! Whoops, my bad. Thanks for reminding me
BishopMcQ
Mar 6 2005, 07:40 PM
NO worries, I figured it'd be my job to carry her since I ordered her to be sedated...
Fu-Man Chu
Mar 8 2005, 03:17 PM
I suppose you'll let me know when Bloodmooon awakens?
Fenris
Mar 8 2005, 04:42 PM
Absolutely!
Consider yourself awake

Mar 9 2005, 01:48 AM
Are any of the goons wearing something that Joli could fit in? I'm picturing one piece jumpsuits....they'd probably be a lot more concealing than the trench coat.
Fu-Man Chu
Mar 10 2005, 05:40 AM
Great! Thanks! I'm jumping back in now. . .

Fenris--Did you want us to play through the torture, gloss over it? I ask because we're supposed to keep this fairly clean and PG-13 I believe... While I have personally pressed that boundary once, I'm not sure if you wanted to do it again...
Fenris
Mar 12 2005, 02:09 AM
Personally I'm more inclined to skip over it, so we'll do so. Do you have any applicable skills or specializations, like interrogation or torture? Or are you just winging it?
BishopMcQ
Mar 12 2005, 02:25 AM
You can default to Etiquette at a +2, +3 for the specialization.
So it depends on my final social modifiers.
The plan is basically to attach a biomonitor, then have Joli cook some of the softer flesh exposed, Evans cut out cyberware primarily the smartlink, and have Tombstone break fingers.
Any time he gets too close to the edge have evans put him back together for a little more, while I ask questions.
Fenris
Mar 12 2005, 03:52 PM
And Joli and Tombstone are okay with this? I can tell you right now that Evans is going to be extremely uncomfortable just being in the same room, and will flat out refuse to cut cyberware out of somebody that's alive and un-anesthesiatized.
BishopMcQ
Mar 12 2005, 04:34 PM
Now would be the time to speak up if anyone has a better plan, not having interrogation I simply have to rely on the fact that I'm going to completely break the man's will before he wants to cooperate.
If they won't participate, I'm going to be forced to fall back onto Plan B which is going to be a lot louder...
Leowulf

Blackjack has Charisma 7 and Etiquette(Matrix) 3(5).

Mar 13 2005, 04:17 AM
Tombstone has Intimidation: 3, as well as Biotech/First Aid: 3/5 if the doc wants nothing to do with this. He won't have a problem with the torture per se, but would consider it the last, not first, resort, and dangerously close to being "unprofessional". He would rather talk to this guy first, lean on him a bit, and only do the torture if all else fails. He still would, though, because the level of gear and professionalism of these guys scares him a bit. His own survival depends on them learning the score. He definitely doesn't want any of them left alive at the end, so whether they suffer a bit more first is academic.

Mar 13 2005, 06:34 AM
Joli is not into torture but she knows something things can't be avoided in the shadows (as they say). She'd leave Sebastian to handle the pain inflicting part, he's much more of a predator than she is.
Fenris
Mar 13 2005, 04:23 PM
Well enough then. I will excercise my GM caveat to gloss over those sections I find personally distasteful, and say that a solid 20 minutes of torture will get you the name of a fixer, Abrams, that works out of Denver that hired them for this particular job, and that much only after you've taken him up past an S wound and brought him back down twice. The fixer handled the details, so the runner has no information on the Johnson, and no personal information on the runners. He was given a general group description, as well as a location, and paid quite a bit of nuyen to move at the drop of a hat. That is, he was expected to wrap things up no more then 4-5 hours after receiving the location. I will pause real world time for this brief moment to find out if there is any other information you are looking for.

Mar 13 2005, 05:27 PM
Just to clarify, so I'm not assuming things, this team did hit both sites...
Fu-Man Chu
Mar 14 2005, 04:01 PM
Somewhere along the way, Bloodmoon will arrive into the interrogation room to "lend a hand." But rather than using the more obvious force, she'll ask to take over.
Specific skills/abilities to use as necessary:
Negotiation 6
Etiquette 6
Influence spell Force 1
and most importantly, when needed, Mind Probe Force 6
That should pretty much get us anything we need.
Fenris
Mar 14 2005, 04:27 PM
Unfortunately, by the time Bloodmoon gets in, the mangled body is unconcsious, for the most part, and the information has been extracted.
And yes, this was the team that hit the other team.
BishopMcQ
Mar 14 2005, 04:27 PM
Does Jester radio in with any insight as to what is going on outside?
Fu-Man Chu
Mar 15 2005, 02:34 AM
Ok, that's cool
BishopMcQ
Mar 15 2005, 05:28 AM
Let's just kill them, take pictures, and move...that will have to suffice for the Johnson...If he still isn't convinced, he can pop into DocWagon to find out that six of their platinum contracts where untimely terminated.
I am so running for the exit sign when these guys are dead...

I appreciate the rolls, don't get me wrong. I just sort of bumped things along for cinematic reasons.

Yay Cinematics....runners are always so much cooler in cinematic mode...Thanks for the bump!

Mar 18 2005, 07:42 AM
Tombstone has Seattle Night Life: 3

He might know a hotel or two in the area with... hourly rates... but your rolls probably netted something closer to what we're looking for.

I went looking for Bloodmoon's knowledge skills, and I realized I don't have them listed! Do you have a copy of her character sheet Fenris? Are they listed on the one I sent you?
BishopMcQ
Mar 23 2005, 02:03 AM
Have no fear, Fenris has not forsaken us. He is actually in the process of moving, shifting internet connections and unpacking. We hope to have his connectivity restored by the end of the week.
Fenris

Maybe the end of this week

Sorry guys, I should be back up to full connection at the beginning of next week, and we'll try to move things along at that point.

Fu-Man Chu: Sorry, just realized that although there is a section for knowledge skills on the sheet that I have, the only thing listed under it is languages. Neither of the sheets I have have knowledge skills, so I'll ask that you pick some

and send me an updated character sheet: quantumthoughts@gmail.com

What's the plan team?
As I see it, we need to turn over the bits that Sebastian collected and hit the mansion. Look back over the thread to refresh yourselves on what the recon turned up and let's re-examine our entry plan. The Chopper is probably still our best way in with Joli, Sebastian and one other providing a distraction while the intrusion team rolls the house, gets the box and we all beat feet out of there.
BishopMcQ
Apr 15 2005, 03:47 PM
I think the original plan is probably our best. Who was going to help Joli make all the noise and keep the security force busy?
