When is Disney going to sue FASA for ripping off TaleSpin?

question.gif Are you refering to Crimson Skies?!

Its the only thing I can come up with that even comes close to Tailspin. Definitely lacking in the Anthropomorphic Animal department however.

Now, why doesn't Lucasarts sue Disney over the obvious ripping for off the Monkey Island series in Pirates of the Caribbean? smile.gif

While Crimson Skies is definitely based heavily off of TaleSpin, I think that it can be argued that the direction SR "megacorps" took after the series, from impersonal machines to businesses with a definite personality behind them (Ares, Cross, etc, compare to Khan Industries) points to a large influence as well.

Maybe because Johnny Mnemonic was based on a previously written story by William Gibson?

First published in 1981 in Omni magazine and later in the anthology Burning Chrome (1986). And, for the record, the book was better.

You mean Burning Chrome or the movie's novelization?

I never got a good look at Crimson Skies, but what I got reminded me not so much of Tailspin, but the old, and I mean old, like 1930's, Buck Rogers strips.
