I'd be willing to keep going even if I were down to one player. Shadow, I'm waiting on a post from you about action on the bridge. Then we can roll.
Shadow
Dec 31 2003, 05:34 AM
Hey I wasn't sure what we are supposed to be doing. I don't think were supposed to clear ala CQB right? Just take them prisoner?
A little guidance so I know what to post next.
Shadow
Dec 31 2003, 06:56 AM
So did I miss something? When did they say, "Murder everyone on board?" I though we were going to take them prisoner and disable their ship?
So, forgive me for what I am about to do.

Heheheh. Heh. Heheheheheheh. Ahem. Excuse me.

I don't think the riffe has any kind of RC but it doesn't matter, I'll just give you the rolls, and not theorize about the TN's.

Well, this would seem to be an interesting turn of events.

You knew something had to happen...I mean, consider the source, after all. I think they made that evil gm emoticon specifically for him.
Leowulf
Jan 3 2004, 02:14 AM
Well, I never played a game run by Grendel before. I knew that if he gmed as well as he roleplayed, it would end up being a good game. I was hoping things would turn interesting like this.
Fenris
Jan 4 2004, 02:27 AM
Wow, you really haven't played in one of his games before, have you? Hoping? Geesh...
Grendel, do most boarding teams like this forgo radio's, or use separate frequencies from the main comm's on the ship? I'm just wondering if the issues on the salvage ship have reached the captain and the bridge, and if there's a visible response or not.
grendel
Jan 4 2004, 06:37 AM
Well, in truth, I'd included you on the boarding team itself until you posted with you still on the bridge. The boarding team does have a radio, and, oddly enough, a call has just come in.

Anything I need to roll to chase down Dune?
Tziluthi
Jan 6 2004, 08:25 AM
Just for reference, what type of door does the wardroom have?
grendel
Jan 6 2004, 08:57 AM
It's actually very much like a standard household door, with faux wood panelling over an inner steel core. Since the wardroom is on a deck above the maindeck, it's not required to have a watertight door.
Tziluthi
Jan 6 2004, 03:14 PM
Okay, assuming that the door isn't locked, Os is checking out the wardroom, or at least, what he can see of it. Are the lights on, and can Os see anyone? If it's dark, he switches on his vision mods and pulls down the ultrasound goggles. If it isn't, well, then he doesn't. If he can't see any people in the room, then he opens the door slowly until it's half-way open, or until he does see someone.

You bastard, grendel
Are any of the officers armed?
grendel
Jan 8 2004, 02:31 AM
And, for the thousandth time, I wish for a little innocent halo smiley. Bastard? Me? Heheheheheheheheheh. Ahem.
No, none of the officers in the wardroom are armed.
Tziluthi
Jan 8 2004, 02:36 AM
Is there anybody else in the room?
grendel
Jan 8 2004, 05:31 AM
Nope. It's quite large, with two twelve person tables on the left hand side, and a small seating area with two couches and a coffee table on the right.
grendel
Jan 11 2004, 08:35 AM
DownTown's taking an 8S and 6S physical respectively, impact armor applies. Ichiro will take a 4S physical.
Tziluthi
Jan 11 2004, 09:13 AM
How badly shaken is the wardroom from the attack?
grendel
Jan 11 2004, 09:38 AM
There's a moment of stunned disbelief before people take off running for damage control stations. Assuming, of course, that the ork in the doorway lets them pass.
Shadow
Jan 11 2004, 10:11 AM
Danny's got 4 points of impact armor, and 7 body dice. Let's see how he does.
8S - 4 = 4S
*sound of dice rolling*
05 01 07 04 04 02 15
Thats five successes! 2 to Mod, 2 to light. So he now has a light wound.
Next,
6S - 4 = 2S
01 04 07 04 02 04 03
Six! Woot, he comes away, shaken, on the floor, but only a light wound.

To see if the id is real, Intelligence Test + Security Procedures as a complementary skill:
Intelligence: 3, 2, 9,
Security Procedures: 2, 2, 3, 1, 10, 3
Is it real?
grendel
Jan 11 2004, 06:44 PM
As near as you can tell, the ID is authentic.
Tziluthi
Jan 12 2004, 02:41 AM
Er, which ork would that be?
Shadow
Jan 13 2004, 10:07 PM
Hey Leo, I think Jeff has locked himself in the engine room, not you guys in the wardroom.
grendel
Jan 14 2004, 01:49 AM
Yes, sorry if I was unclear. Jeff has locked the access hatch to the engine room from the inside.
Shadow
Jan 14 2004, 02:48 AM
Danny's going to wait a few minutes, if Dune doesn't come back in he is going to go out after her.
Leowulf
Jan 14 2004, 05:00 AM
Oh. My bad.
Editing my post...
Tziluthi
Jan 14 2004, 03:31 PM
So, no reply from Jeff?
Leowulf
Jan 14 2004, 06:53 PM
Well, it's really kind of doubtful that he would hear you, considering the level of noise present in the engine room when we first went in. With the engines still running, and you now behind a shut door, I doubt he would ever hear anything you did.
Tziluthi
Jan 15 2004, 01:35 AM
Ah, fair enough.
grendel
Jan 15 2004, 01:35 AM
No, no answer from Jeff. And after several minutes there's no sign of Dune, although it does look like a couple of the crewmembers survived the attack on the bridge.
Tziluthi
Jan 20 2004, 03:08 AM
Who is at the bridge?
grendel
Jan 20 2004, 05:24 AM
Sam, Os, DownTown, Ichiro, and Meryth, plus five other crewmembers and three ship's officers.
Fenris
Jan 20 2004, 10:27 PM
Sorry to muck everything up by staying on the bridge...I just didn't see any reason why I'd be taken on the boarding crew, considining my post.
Feel free to go back and edit things as necessary to make things okay.
grendel
Jan 21 2004, 01:05 AM
No worries. I can adjust as necessary.
Shadow
Jan 22 2004, 06:07 PM
Ok grendel, the three guys are going to work on the whip, Downtown is going to keep an eye out for any approaching vessel.
Have the engines stopped at all?
Morgannah
Jan 27 2004, 05:26 AM
Sorry for the absence, everyone. A lot's happened and I'd just like to say that it's great to
finally be back.
(Working on a suitable catchup post now)
grendel
Jan 27 2004, 05:34 AM
No, the engines continue to drive forward. The storm on the horizon is growing rapidly closer. You can feel the electricity in the air and smell the rain. Repairs are being effected to the bridge as the three go to work on the antennae. Whoever is doing the repairs, I need Electronics B/R rolls from.
Welcome back, Morgannah.
Morgannah
Jan 27 2004, 05:42 AM
Does this seem natural, astrally speaking?
Aura Reading: 02.03.16
Assensing: 02.02.4.5.15
grendel
Jan 27 2004, 06:27 AM
Yes, it seems natural. There's no astral activity surrounding the storm that would indicate otherwise.

Os for electronics B/R (N.B. he has an electronics kit on him.)
4, 4, 1, 1
...so, did I win?
Glad to see you back, Morgannah
Tziluthi
Jan 29 2004, 01:15 AM
Considering the IC description, I'm thinking the TN was a little more than 4, so assuming Os failed the task this time, I'll roll again.
Electronics B/R test: 5, 5, 5, 4.
Morgannah
Jan 29 2004, 05:21 AM
Thanks Tziluthi!
I'm on my way, guys ... just a quick little detour first.
