From Hobbe's post it looks like he would be giving Karma anyway, it would just be an option to spend cash for more. Did I misread the post?

I feel strongly both ways.
-Karma rewards for Good RP
-Cash for Karma
If we are casting votes between these two options, mine is for good RP is rewarded with Karma.
If it is Cash for Karma excluding RP awards, then I would be uneasy. That would be a real incentive for our PCs to earn for the gang but the focus would be shifted from the RP too much.
Just my thoughts, thanks for listening.
Also, With the date/location stamp that WinterRat1 has suggested, would each player post that or would it only be in GM posts?
I like all the formatting conventions but I hope I don't get pelted with rocks for slipping up hare and there. I am bound to.

Everyone date stamps. If you want an example check out one of the Living in the Shadows IC threads. We do it in there. It really helps keep things in order.

So right now we are:
00:12:34 Saturday 09 April 2063 – Puyallup - Serpent Turf - Serpent's Lair - Rooftop
...or something.
Could we use blue so it looks a bit different than the other game? I think that might be helpful for those who participate in both.
Thanks Slip!

Ok....Kharma time
Everyone roleplayed excellently, and posted in a timely matter so, I am awarding everyone 6 kharma points. I am awarding 1 extra to Mugzy, he pulled off being on the spot magnificently. All of you have done great rp and i have enjoyed this week, looks to me this is going to be a very good and long campaign.

I'm going to have to say no too. Buying karma in my experience can drasticly alter game balance, imagine what would happen if I had 30 spare karma for Mitch, and with him being in collections which should for a gang be a pretty active department, and you said we get cuts of each score, thats alot of money for karma, probably more than you'd want us to have...

Yes it is.. I cannot wait to see what the next day is to hold. (having PC's run the show per say) I like the fact that we can all just RP what ever for our missions and we don't have to answer to Mr. Johnson or have someone else tell us what to do. ( to some extreme.. we do have jobs, but have freedom to make up how we go about those jobs ) That is great, I can remember other runn's waiting in an alley for Mr. J wondering what he had in store, just to fullfill his own goals (sometimes given by others / yet still given) Here our own ambitions guide our twisted minds (and spirits) to what ever purpose...

I am extremely happy from last weeks game. I've played alot of games but, never with this much roleplaying or the depth of roleplay i should say. Cydlexia and I in PnP have tried but, it usually ends up combat heavy...sorry fuhok, you like to destroy stuff in person so, it carries over usually. I am excited to see how the week goes. That was only a night in the life of a serpent and a good day at that.

OK, I think I corrected my time post to bring our conversation in sync Flipshow. Also, I have nothing more to do at the party except maybe a quick post describing Lee leaving; so feel free to fast forward anyone who'll be at the meet. As a general note to people who are new to PBP, it's usually a good idea to let people know that you'll be moving things forward or are ready to be moved forward so you don't inadvertantly overrun people.

Sorry Rat no doubt you refer to Rasta... No biggy, he is some what of a mystic PC anyway.. So there will be a lot of things I think he does off the page of the game, Thats the way he is set up ( plus I like to write, and story tell so you will get a lot of detail that has nothing to do with any PC's other than my own, Nothing personal to any I just have to much stuff floating in my skull so I write it down. Take your times)... I wasn't going to do the next day only early morn, until all where with me. I got the Idea as I sat around last night, and I have sever ADHD (and ex-substance use) leave it be and it is gone. Everyone in the game can do what ever they want... (Tatsu is the only one who set up a meeting with Dane and Lee to my knowledge) this is more of an A-typical SR game. Talikng to Hobbe.. he says DO what ever you want, he will roll with it... So if you want to hold up the the stop and shop.. he will roll with it, if you want to go down and check out that track in FT turf.. he will roll with it... Us as player tell this story, thats why the Rasta write's in about killing rats or feeding chicken to his snake, it has no context but so far thats his story... Whats your?
HobbeGoblin
Apr 14 2005, 02:11 PM
That is correct Cydlexia....it is all of yalls's stories ( and yes damn it i am a southerner) You all have contacts...hint hint. I had this in mind as the atypical sr game, no waiting on Mr. Johnson for a job. If your story encompasses your downward spiral into alcoholism and BTL that's good too. You all are on the dark side of the shadows here.

Lee really is just waiting for the meet. Prior to this, his routine consisted of well, training, training, and training. Martial arts training, practicing his previously undeveloped firearms training, just getting a feel for the lay of the land kind of thing. So he is patiently waiting until the meet. That's just the kind of character he is.

Johnny is just redisovering his relationships with the poeple he knew before going in. After he talks with Kaze about starting up his smuggling operation I will likely start getting more involved with his contacts, but if anyone just needs some muscle or wants to rumble with some FT's just let him know and he will be there. He is pretty good with a bike and has a little B/R bike skill as well.
He has a cell phone that you all would likely know the number to. So if you need him just call.

Thats what I thought, besides ghouls have to eat too. I laughed at all the possibilities and the subsequent actions, but flipshow brings up a VERY good point, that might insight war and bad-bones would be angry at mitch for not clearing it with him first. Not to mention it would give mugzy something else to have his character languish over, because mitch is just the type of guy that would think he'd want a momento(leg bones connected to the hip bone...).
I'm really liking this run by the way, despite the fact that its still getting started and not much has happened, aside from my character getting covered in blood in the first ten posts. I knew there was going to be blood spilled early on I was just worried it was going to be Mitch's, better on him than from him.

I dug the choice of Contact use as well Kiedo... Twisted enough to be cool
And yeah that's gotta suck, but At least you posted that the Suit was outdated, and it wasn't one of those Pimp Synth-Alligator tailors of Tatsu's... Blood splattering one of those would truly suck.

Everyone,
My workload is staggering at the moment and as you can tell, I can only really post about one time a week. If this is going to be a problem and I totally understand if it is, then I will have to bow gracefully out of the game.
I had thought that it wouldn't be an issue when I submitted my character to Hobbe, but I was wrong. I hope this doesn't cause to much of a problem.
My appologies,

if you wanted to have something happen on the way, or have him not be there or something, I'll go back and edit it. Also I left you room to give me an answer(I know you said you'd roll with anything, but I wasn't sure how much liberty with contacts that would afford us), and if you need me to roll some dice just say so, though I imagine asking a hungry ghoul to eat a fresh corpse would a pretty low target number.
On another note, you may have already answered this but I really couldn't find it. The karma were awarded in game can that be applied right away or do we need to spend time and nuyen training or studying.

Just a brief announcement, tax season is obviously over, and I'm working on getting the tattered shards of my life back together. I will be catching up with posts ASAP over the next few days. Um I usually GM so I'm very used to finishing everything I want to in one post or sitting, If I've step on your toes tell me and I'll go back and edit my post. Or give me the go ahead and I'll start firing away questions for you to answer and rolling those precious intimidation dice(or unarmed combat if it comes to that, not that a pimp would be much for SUPER TROLL TM, lol).
Oh what meta is he dwarf, troll, elf what or when you post just give me a desciption so I'll know what I'm working with.
One more thing, I haven't the slightest idea the layout of seattle, when I play it's usually in Houston(go houston), so streets and things like that are greek to me, I've just been making them up as I go along. Which has made the gang's territory enormous (marcus lives on 5th and the pimp's on 120th...), so I'll either stop including streets or figure something else out.
