I've done my recon and I'm now just doing whatever it takes to get the group together. but I agree somebody needs to do something if we're gonna get anywhere. so lets say we've all met at the supply depot. |
Thats fine with me, though I was looking foward to reading about Jim's meet with Kim

Grendel, could you reply to my email about getting my Matrix run finished up. I never got a reply... or did it not get to you? Cause there was a few emails sent to the wrong address.

Raiko

I assumed that that's what we were waiting for.
I'm still here anyway.

Jan 19 2004, 11:41 AM
I don't know what we're waiting for. We still need to go to the site and maybe introduce and talk about what we're gonna do.

I'm still waiting on a reply to my emails from grendel.

ok, the Matrix run is done, I didn't get a chance to post the results tonight, but I'll have it for you guys first thing in the morning. Unfortunately I didn't get a whole lot, but I did get a few things.

Just how invisible is invisibility?
Silverspur_2020
Jan 24 2004, 07:20 PM
As far as I am concerned i thought it was total invisibility except to astral, heat sensors and such.....
Emp
Jan 24 2004, 11:40 PM
So lvl 1 is the same as lvl 12 invis spell the way we're gonna play it?
grendel
Jan 25 2004, 08:56 AM
The force of the spell is the target number for resistance.
Grey
Jan 25 2004, 08:58 PM
grendel, were there any Ultrasonic or Pressure Plates in the security system? I analysed the system and don't remember any mention of them, but wanted to check with you first before I post an answer. Keep in mind that Todd has a Photographic Memory.
And I'm pretty sure I have the stock numbers for the items we want, but it doesn't hurt to double check I guess.
grendel
Jan 25 2004, 09:02 PM
No, there were not ultrasonic motion detectors nor pressure plates as far as you could tell. The stock numbers appear to match.

Feb 4 2004, 01:17 AM
Alright grendel, it looks like its time for another Matrix run. Can you find me on AIM again tomorrow so we can whip that out?

Feb 4 2004, 01:21 AM
You going to be on tonight at all?
Grey
Feb 4 2004, 03:37 AM
I pretty much only get time on the computer when I'm at work. Once I get home I have a wife to take up my time.

Feb 4 2004, 10:33 AM
I have never said this before...but I dont know what to do regarding stealing these containes...we just can't agree
Just decide something. Roll a dice if you don't know what Jim would do. If not everyone suddenly agrees with Kim there will be no agreement, but I doubt it really matters. She would do this for free, so will help with any plan Jim decides to follow as long as it involves her getting into that building.

Feb 4 2004, 01:36 PM
Well lets go with the entrance via fake IDs then while you guys go over the fence.. it we can mange it you take it back out with you if not then we load the van...sounded like a decent plan to me...
Grey
Feb 4 2004, 04:36 PM
Are you sure they can get over the fence? What about razor/mono wire?
It always helps to have at least two plans of action, that way if one goes bad, you have a backup plan.
Silverspur_2020
Feb 4 2004, 06:25 PM
Well the backup was going to be put them in the back of the van and force our way out!!
I havent heard anyone say anything about razor/monofiliment wire... besides, something like that you could cut through I would have thought
Grey
Feb 4 2004, 07:19 PM
One thing to consider in your role playing is that its real unlikely you've ever seen someone take a dataline and plug it directly into their head.
Sorry, Kim is not paying much attention to what Todd is doing, but she has seen a decker before .... they always put something in their head right?
Grey
Feb 4 2004, 07:35 PM
They run a line from the wall to a deck, then the deck to their head. Todd is plugging the line from the wall right into his head.

am I correct to assume that people have given up on this run? people dont seem to be replying with any enthusiasm
Grey
Feb 10 2004, 07:41 PM
Sorry, I'm still trying to get a time where grendel and I are both online at the same time so we can do my matrix run. I do agree that other people seem to not be as interested, but I really like Todd and don't want to give up on him just yet. *shrug*

Grendel, shoot me a PM so we can get a time you and I can be on AIM at the same time. We need to get this run finished up.
Sorry everyone for the lag, its my fault. We had a time to do it last week but I had some family stuff come up and had to run.

Feb 11 2004, 02:30 PM
I'm still somewhat interrested, but I've been distracted a bit by real life first, and second, I'm really having a hard time in character with this. it seems to be insanely easy, and we seem to be way overplanning it.
I've already voiced my oppinions on the issue, and others have decided to delay them until we get more information, which is ok by me, but I'm still not budging until they're resolved.
Silverspur_2020
Feb 11 2004, 03:02 PM
I agree... I think its overplanned as well!!
Emp
Feb 11 2004, 03:40 PM
I disagree. We have just been talking for a few minutes, so I don't see how that can ever be overplanning. However, if it was upto Kim we'd already be on our way in while Todd gets the info we need. Stealth was the only decision she wanted to be made and she's not very interested in the back up plan. She thinks the chance of something to go wrong with the van are much greater than with the main plan.
Emp
Feb 17 2004, 01:56 PM
Hmmmm, I'd like to get some things straight.
We're in the vicinity of Bicson's supply depot.
We got there with 2 sports cars; Jim's metallic blue honda and Mirage's Westwind.
Firmpoint has been waiting there, which was the reason Kim agreed on takeout food and coffee.
We've been standing outside the cars for a few minutes discussing what to do, so it's not raining.
It's just before midnight.
Although Kim doesn't like /psycho's/ like Firmpoint, she won't let him leave. If Jim doesn't say anything before he walks away 5 meters, she will stop him.

Emp? What the hell are you talking about? He asks about getting Chem Suits and you say he is talking about going in and killing everyone? WTF?
Emp
Feb 25 2004, 05:38 PM
Grey, have you been following the discussion at all?
Grey
Feb 25 2004, 05:51 PM
Yeah, and last I heard, people were talking about using Gel rounds, Drug rounds, and Stunbolts. One guy had said shit about killing a bunch of people, but that got squashed as far as I knew.
Grey
Feb 25 2004, 05:52 PM
And I still don't understand how Jim asking about Chem Suits is something to piss anyone off.

I can walk in there and kill every living thing in there without breaking a sweat, sparing one clerk who will show me the way to the prolaxene, and whom I will leave with a new definition of fear.
If we opt for this, I suggest obtaining a chemsuit to wear in.
|
I know wearing a chemsuit doesn't necessarily mean we're going to kill everyone, but there won't be any reason left for Firmpoint not to.
QUOTE |
Mirage looks at Firmpoint, "Do you have any non-lethal combat spells? Not directly.
She grins, "given the 5000 nuyen payoff, it's stictly non-drug rounds after that though. "And, if we want cheap hits, my spells are free too. plus they're silenced, and I have infinite range, just need line of sight. bulletproof glass don't mean squat either. "
|
I don't know where you got the idea Firmpoint was talking about Stunbolts and Mirage sounds like she doesn't care about killing everyone inside if that saves some bucks.
Grey
Feb 25 2004, 07:19 PM
Firmpoint was the only one talking about killing anyone as far as I can tell. And non-drug doesn't mean lethal, I took it to mean Gel rounds. I just didn't understand why you were getting pissed at everyone when Firmpoint seems to be the problem. Maybe I just misread things, maybe not.

I don't think it's a matter of reading it right or wrong. It's how our chars react to what's being said and done. Kim could have taken it the wrong way or maybe Todd doesn't understand how serious things are getting. Either way I'm just describing what Kim's thinking about the situation. Todd might not even notice anything about her concerns.
Grey
Feb 25 2004, 08:26 PM
Thats basicly how I'm playing it, Todd doesn't connect well with people, he is a child of the matrix.
