He was in human form.
And thats another reason why Sander is far from scared: we have NO proof that "Peri" is a dragon. He just said "I am a dragon" and everybody bought it

Well, it uses a very close approximation to dragonspeech, something that I am only mentioning once I am out of range.

Hrm, and for the literal minded of us, how big is it in draco form?

Actually going by local average Peri is a small dragon...
I'm just hoping Thanee's guess is for the height of the human form...

Can an Earth spirit move people through earth if it has the movement power? How about rock?
Ophis
Jun 4 2006, 07:55 AM
Nope, they help movement on the ground. Moving through the earth requires burrowing (they would be able to help tunneling vehicles) or a special metamagic technique.

Sorry to say this guys, but I'm bowing out of the game. It was really fun and I enjoyed the roleplay a lot, but I feel like I won't be able to dedicate the attention that I should. I will let Ophis decide what he'd like to happen to Sander

I'll definitly keep reading the thread

Shiver intends to do a dual natured astral looksee around the immediate area, then depending on the result may go full astral and search for astral spies.

As I had not posted while everybody was arriving I just acted like I had come in with everybody else. assuming the place isn't warded I'm now going full astral, and taking a look outside, just pushing my face through the window, and in the corridor, and scanning the other rooms in the flat. Anywhere a spirit could be hiding. what should I roll, is it assensing again or do I use my last result? I won't bother manifesting. I will check astral space for strong emotions recently in the area etc. I intend to take my time over this.

Jun 15 2006, 04:25 AM
Ok.. first I'm going to locate the band's site - see what the 'official posted tour' is... figure out their usual method of travel.
Next I'm going to scan the datahavens, probably the streetbeat forums to see what 'news on the Trix' I can pick up, fandom blogs and sites, running a search routine keyworded to pick up data bites on their tour. I'll have the rolls later this morning once I figure out what that all entails. I unfortunately don't have any 'music knowledge' skills, so I'm defaulting on my network knowledge to 'google/altavista style search' all the info I can find.

Browse (5) + Data Search (3) = 8 dice [5] 2 1 2 3 2 [6] [6] Hits:3 |
Think I'm going to boost that a little and thread the operation...
CODE |
Resonance (5) + Computers (3) = 8 dice 1 4 [5] [6] [6] 1 4 [6] Hits:4 |
Giving me 4 more dice...
CODE |
Threading (4) = 4 dice [5] 4 [5] 1 Hits:2 |
For a total of 5 hits.
Rolling Fading resistance.
CODE |
Willpower (4) + Resonance (5) = 9 dice [5] 1 2 [5] 3 3 1 [5] [6] Hits:4 |
Which should mean I get no drain..

Jun 18 2006, 08:22 AM
Ok, I'm not going to Thread each one... that would be roll consuming to say the least.
I'm going to spend the next 10 minutes searching for info.
Keypoints I'm looking for:
Where is the Band now?
How do they travel?
What is their itinerary? (official, rumours, etc)
And also to see what kind of entourage they have: roadies, bodyguards, do some 'lucky fans' ride with them on occasion, do they bring all their own stage help, how is their equipment carried.
If I remember correctly Peri said our 'target' is being carried as personal luggage, so I doubt it'll be in with the rest of their normal gear, but if any of us can somehow slip in as stage help/crew, that might give us a non-offensive 'in' we're looking for.

Data Search (3) + Browse (5) = 8 dice
3 [6] 1 [6] 4 3 1 3 Hits:2
Data Search (3) + Browse (5) = 8 dice

4 2 4 3 [5] [6] 3 2 Hits:2
Data Search (3) + Browse (5) = 8 dice
2 [5] [5] 4 [5] 1 [5] 2 Hits:4
Which gives me a total of 25 hits, giving me 30 hits total with my previous roll.
I'm also going to compile a Data Sprite to continue monitoring blogs, forums and other sources that I find so that - once I'm done this run, she'll be able to tell me if any information has changed: New rumours, sudden change in travel plans, any breaking news, etc.
[ Spoiler ]
Compiling (3) + Resonance (5) = 8 dice
[5] 3 [6] [5] 1 4 [5] 1 Hits:4
Against the Sprite's resistance test:
Sprite (6) = 6 dice
2 3 3 [6] 1 4 Hits:1
Compile Fading test vs 2S
Willpower (4) + Resonance (5) = 9 dice
[6] 4 3 [5] 1 [5] [5] 3 1 Hits:4
Look Ma, no headache!
So I now have a Rating 6 Sprite with 3 jobs owed (Would have compiled a higher one, but wanted more services)

Moderate entourage, 3-4 body guards with band, couple of r(/)toadies with band, manager and agent, plus a couple of groupies and Journalists. About 15 on the plane divided between two limos on ground. Groupies change regularly. Most equipment is in seperate transport. Kelly Malaise is noted for carrying a guitar throughout the tour. On her person at all times, alledgedly even in bed. They bring along their own stage crew (travel with equipment).

@Thanee
[ Spoiler ]
Actually to say Reggie is a 'girl' may not be entirely accurate, there's a little more to Reg than meets the eye...

I should let you read the history file I have... it's an interesting read. That's mostly the reason for the gender-neutral reference.
It's been a challenge not to use gender personification in my posts. The Tomboy attitude makes it easy for Reg to blend in with the guys, and many think of Reg as a 'He', very few know Reg's true gender - except for family - and even that is a long story.

Sorry about the mistake on who's pad it was.. no idea why I had it stuck in my head that it was Eury's pad....
I've corrected both of my posts where I made the mistake...

Jul 1 2006, 12:48 AM
Well there's three ways we can do the Limos.
1) Commandeer the limos, knock them out, do the swipe, drop them off and dissapear once they reach the hotel.
2) Commandeer the limos, bring them to a drop spot, take the guitar and take off in a gettaway vehicle.
3) Commandeer the limos, knock them out, bring them to a drop point where we switch back with the original drivers after taking the guitar.
The last option would be the most expensive option as we'd have to pay off the original drivers rather than just take them out.
Ankle Biter
Jul 1 2006, 02:31 AM
Err, since when do limos need drivers? almost anything on the road has at least a rating 1 pilot program, why not use that?

A rating 1 pilot system is not going to be able to compensate for sudden changes in traffic. The best it can manage is a grid-guide link to synch the vehicle with traffic patterns to suggest the best route and speed... A limo would still require a real driver in case anything unexpected comes up....
Ankle Biter
Jul 4 2006, 06:40 PM
Lucky limos come with a rating three one, then?
Dranem
Jul 5 2006, 06:13 AM
Unless it's rigger adapted, most vehicles are still driven... Would you step into to a driverless cab or limmo? The chance that a hacker could tap into the vehicle and hijack it is too high, I would see limo services requiring a driver for more than one reason...
