Call me paranoid (who in this biz isn't), but I'm not letting him go off alone with the package. It's too dangerous.
Spiny can go pretty fast, unless he can somehow go faster than a car with whatever mojo is speeding him up, the drone should at least be able to keep up.

If it looks like I can't keep up to the drone's transmitter range - let me know.

Sorry about lack of rolls- my time for gaming is somewhat patchy atm due to loads of work. Right, now for the same again, fire this time directed towards the unwounded HPist.

Shot 1:
Ag+Pistols+Spec-injuries = 14 dice
Rolls = 2, 3, 3, 6, 6, 3, 5, 5, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 2 = 4 hits

Shot 2:
Ag+Pistols+Spec-injuries- RCx2 = 10 dice
Rolls = 1, 5, 2, 3, 5, 5, 4, 5, 3, 2, 2 = 3 hits

Those shots won't bring him down but will wound him heavily.

After the warning shout from Reg, Felice will - of course - see what's going on and go after Shiver, assuming that he is (quite obviously) double-crossing us (I was already wondering, how the bad guys would know about us without someone from the team leaking the information... wink.gif).

So, first question is... what does Felice see right now (like 1 second after Shiver jumped out of the car wink.gif).

Shiver sprinting off down the road at startling speed, in the two passes he's had he's got about 30 metres away and is starting to dive into a gap between houses.

With light and bushes call it -2 to any shot plus range mods (I can never remeber range for smgs).

Alright, Felice is certainly not planning on letting him get away with that, so this is (hopefully biggrin.gif) going to hurt some...

Free Action: Call Shot (+4 DV for the Long Burst)
Simple Action: Long Burst 7 hits DV of 9 + 5 (long burst) + net hits (AP -4 from APDS ammo)

If that does not take him down ( eek.gif ), the next simple action is another Short Burst, otherwise Felice will likely switch targets, so I'm waiting for now, if that's ok. smile.gif

Felice can take a shot at HUna if she wishes, remember -2 for changing targets, -3 for shot into melee, and recoil... Yes this does mean what you think...

I think Felice will pass on that (shooting into melee; didn't realize they were engaged in close combat smile.gif) and rather keep her eyes on him and ready herself to sprint to retrieve the package (next round, of course).

Now let's hope he wasn't actually trying to secure the package. wink.gif

For the IC:

After receiving Reggie's warning shout via her commlink, Felice spins around and her eyes immidiately catch the sprinting mage. Damn, he's fast.

Realizing, that it will likely be too late for them to catch him, once he turns and vanishes between two houses, Felice's concerns that he might still be working in the team's interest are pushed back by her instincts. Her intuition already told her earlier, when the van was stopped, that someone must have double-crossed them. She had felt uneasy already when Shiver proclaimed earlier, that he would keep the item safe, but she blamed it on her nerves then. Now this. No, it couldn't be anything else. Anyways, there was not enough time for switching ammo.

With her combat-honed reflexes, Felice raises her submachinegun to shoulder level and presses the folding stock inside her shoulder for a steady fire position. Her cyberenhanced eyes easily make out his running shape despite the bad lighting and her smartlink tracks his movements making him a fairly easy target out in the open; for someone with her skills, anyways. She takes aim, and then she pulls the trigger and six deadly bullets race towards her former team-mate in rapid succession, leaving the barrel with a ghostly whisper thanks to the internal sound-suppressor.

< [Felice] Shiver's down. I'll go and retrieve the orb. >

It was easier, than she had thought. That's what all the cyberware does to you, she thinks.

Right, seeming as Felice has done her work with Shiver, and has her eyes on him, Alastor's going to switch from dual pistols to one pistol and his sword (the nutter), and try to get the hopefully final opponent while he's in melee with Clark.

Okay that means Alastor can launch an attack newxt round unless he has yje adept ability quickdraw.

During HUna's turn he fails to hit Clarke solidly.

IC post will go up in a bit, feel free to roll Initiative for the new round, remember that wound penalties count.

Initiative = 15 or 17 (normal Init base = 11- do the wound penalities affect the base that the rolls are added to too?)

Felice's Initiative is 18 (13+5). Applied the -1 wound penalty to the dice pool only now.

I run it as the wound penalties only affect the dice pool, but with that roll Alastor's Initiative is 15 either way.

Huh? But if his base is 11, then 11+6=17. Gah, me confused- yet again it's far too long a day.

Felice starts running towards the body, keeping her gun ready to shoot the figure (with two short bursts), should it reach for where Shiver stashed the orb, hoping to prevent it from grabbing it and running off.

How soon do I reach Shiver's downed body? Just wondering if I'll be encountering this 'shadowy figure' alone or if Felice will be catching up to me when I do..

Being un-cybered, I run a lot slower than some of the enhanced members of the team, but Spiny should at least have caught up and overing by him by now.. no?

Spiny is about over Shiver's body. Reggie will be reaching the shadowy figure alone at least briefly (unless shes walking it), since she has about 30 meters to go Felice will reach melee range at aboy the end of the round if running.

Sorry for disappearance. I have a hideous number of deadlines to meet over the next week, some of which should technically be in tomorrow. Service shall resume sometime over the weekend hopefully. This has been a public announcement for Tattered Seraphim.

Despite the temptation to go and assist Felice with dealing with Shiver, Alastor keeps his attention on aiding Clark- best not to leave him on his own just in case any new surprises popped up. He'd known that something like this would happen, it had been too quiet. As Felice sends the message asking Eury to help her, Alastor moves into position to strike at Clark's assailant. He was taking a risk with his injuries getting into close-combat, but the thrill of the risk drove him. He strikes out at the opposition with his sword, a gun still in his left hand, trying not to catch Clark instead.

Unluckily Alastor will miss with that blow(well just wing the guy with a draw). Clarke will avoid the continued assualt and attempt to strike back, landing a couple of solid blows for some stun damage. The spirit will cast a spell on Shiver. Moonwolf up next.

Umm Felice up next, Shiver is stirring.

Alastor can continue his attacks bonuses still cancel his penelties.

Felice runs towards Shiver in order to retrieve the bag, while firing a short burst or two (if necessary) to keep him down, then reloads her weapon.

Happy New Year all! I hope everyone had a good festive season.
Just a quick note to say that I've got a very important exam coming up on friday the 11th, so until then resuming the game properly wouldn't suit me too well.
