It's cool, been a little off on using the internets myself, you might as well blame me for having my "mini-game" before I got to the meet.

Oh and Gray, still very nicely done, I love the way my character looks. I'd just as soon have him standing hands folded over having a weapon in his hand considering his role.

Will do. I won't have time to shange his pose until tomorrow, but Ramses has a
Mana Ball now. It's blue and more ephemeral than the one I did yesterday.
Edit: --- Spades has a new pose now. Check out the Mana Ball link above. I also changed the mana ball to have little lightning streaks in it.Here is my latest creation, a test of the particle effect - Dragon Fire. My old street shaman, Gray, is shooting flames out of his finger.

Nice work Gray. I was wondering if you could give Ramses a shorter beard (half in length) and a set of glasses (not sunglasses) maybe like Morpheus's.
Did you check to see if there are any english professor clothes available? Something with a bow tie and tweed vest? I sort look like Sam's pimp in this pic ....lol
@Red
I was wondering if its possible to assense someone's aura without it being noticable? I don't want to be rude about it but I'd like to get a good look into J's aura in case I need it in the future.
By the way, you guys should step it up a little, you really don't want the dwarf negotiating. We'll end oweing him money by the time he's done with negotiations.

@Dirtz - I got a vest and a bowtie, but no tweed texture. I just loved how he looked in the gangster jacket. I can also hide the long part of the beard so it is close cropped. I do need to get glasses. Maybe I can find some tonight. How do you like the new mana ball?
I can cover up Sam's hiney a bit if it makes Ramses blush.

She actually has long jeans on in game. But the same red top and boots.
Sam has a Negotiation of 1 so I'm waiting for Face Man to take point. She'll assist Spades however. He's gotta throw more than Sam's 8 dice (Negotiation 1 + Charisma 7 = 8 dice). If not, I'll do it and he can assist me. Although there ios nothing to negotiate yet, so I'll start schmoozing him when I get home from work.

Amazing stuff Chris!
This really looks like a lot of fun, wish I was talented enough to put it together like this...Awesome job chummer!
I like the way the glasses look, you can definitely see something reflective is there. The vest is better, maybe change the color of the bow tie to black or black striped with gold and maybe resized just a little bigger? I still imagine his beard to be close cropped even more so, any chances of give him an umbrella? Sam is looking polished and the more I look at her the more it resembles Alba - dress her any way you want chief. Spades looks a little surprised? keep the smile but maybe lower the eyebrows a little? ...but that's up to Soy.
@Red
How about Assensing instead of perception? Here are the rolls for both:
Assensing Johnson's aura: Assensing (auras) 1 +2 + Intuition 3 = 6dp
2 hitsObserving Johnson in detail: Perception (visual) 2 +2 + Intuition 3 = 7dp
4 hitsTrying not to be obvious about it: Stealth? 0 -1(default) + Intuition 3 = 2dp
0 hits, no glitchChris I got busted again! Remind you of Old Country buffet?

I got "Morpheus" glasses to try but if you like these, they can stay. I can change the color and size of the bow tie. I only have one umbrella, and it;s a lady's parisol. Gotta find a better one.
If I use different hair on Sam, she looks almost exactly like Alba. Right now she has basically Lara Croft hair.

I need to find something to use for Sam's long coat and her locket yet, and put her gloves back on. And maybe change Ramses shoes... he has the same pants and shoes as Spades.
I am also working on my Lion Shaman, and namesake, Gray. I just got his hair last night. It's a native american type style with a feather in it. Luckily it has gray and white textures included. I want to do a shot outside Seattle with Gray and Lion communing on a hill top. Still need to find his Davey Crockett shirt. I want to do a custom texture to put a spray painted lion head on the back of his long coat.
I have the background models to do the Firecraker as well.

Cool. If you want it, the Graffiti Wall prop is free on Renderosoty.com. I use it because it takes a lot less time to render than the Backstreets scene I have. Maybe I can figure out and easy way to get it to remove the buildings you can't see.

Assuming I didn't notice anything while assensing his aura during the negotiations, is it reasonable to assume he's being straight forward with his offering? I'm just trying to determine if he's trustworthy at this point. I'll continue to monitor his aura as we get into the case details to see if there are any emotional spikes as he describes the details of the job.

We need a blimp... just thinking out loud...
Gray
Mar 18 2008, 05:27 PM
I think we need to nab the first package at the source rather than worry about this 20 minutes to block all routes. 20 minutes is not a lot of time to set up an intercept. I'm not sure exactly what the Security Rating of Auburn is from memory, but it's no doubt much better than Puyallup. An out and out firefight would not work. And with "J" not being very informative, we are likely in for a big surprise somewhere.
Maybe we should infiltrate, steal the package, and let them transport an empty case. That way we don't need to shoot anybody, even if it is with Gel rounds or Stick-n-Shocks.
SoyKaf Adict
Mar 18 2008, 07:31 PM

Correct, the "J" does not need to know the method to our madness.
Dirtz
Mar 18 2008, 09:06 PM
Yeah I was hoping we could pull more info but alas it seems not to be forthcoming. We'll have some time in the room after he leaves to discuss this stuff. One thing to make note of Gray is that the 20 minute heads up is before the pick up. That means as long as we are in position near the Pharm we can cut off the courier. I'm just not comfortable with all the restrictions that are going on. Even though he has insider info we're really left to plan ON_THE_FLY because of all of the unknown variables. But we'll see what happens.
My first choice was to intercept the package AS the couriers but we can't get enough info to make that happen. Visually we could make it happen on the fly but then there is the voice-over and bio-security features that may or may not be present.
Oh, by the way I eluded to something in my last post that I was hoping someone would pick up on....

Your allusion is still eluding me. Unless you meant that since we are all professionals here, "J" doesn't have to be such a weasel.
I like the idea of replacing the couriers. Keep it in mind for package 3. We do not have enough time for the legwork to set it up for package 1. Although when we steal package 1 and 2, they might fire their Mercs and hire new ones? I wonder how much Kilroy will charge to set us up as a courier company? With a good rep, that works cheap. Heck for all we know Kuji only has the first package. And "some time tomorrow" is anywhere from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM. We might have some time for legwork, or none at all.
Dirtz
Mar 19 2008, 03:15 AM
At one point Johnson says: "That is the standard setup."
Now maybe I'm reading too much into this, but it would seem a good familiarity with the expected couriers would lead him to say this. He's seen this so many times before, he knows what standard is. So either they use something in house, mercs, or a professional service (like Brinks). Either way I was trying to pull more information so we could imitate them. Visually not so much a problem, its the exchange process we'd need help with.
On the fly for package one I think our best hope is using a spirit to cause an accident somewhere to our liking and letting the faceman convince them to give it up!

Although then we'd be taking a chance someone actually gets hurt - not just stunned.

Yeah,except he didn't answer. He just said he didn't know what they were going to put it in. I removed the question, but we will still have zero way to tell if we have the right thing until he says we screwed up and got some security guy's drawers. I don't think he wants his package very badly.

We may never even know what he wants to do with the package. He's been very squirelly to date, and I don't think he'd tell us. We'd have to get Kilroy to run a scan on it or something if we really want to know. I just know if it's an iron lung wth a kid in it, he's got some 'splaining to do. We've played too many Shadowruns where the package is something like that. The last one I ran, the package ended up being the bad guy too. It was two magically mutated kids, that killed the first runner team sent to pick them up. The girl had a lot of mental manipulation powers, and the boy was all combat powers.

@RedJack
If Gray and Dirtz's characters are up for ramen, I can drive one or both of them to downtown where Spades knows more people. I was thinking a classic stall set-up with the drappery behind them, and possibly an owner who may not be a family friend, but a place Spades frequents enough for him/her to not ask questions. Sound appropriate?

@ Redjack and Soykaf: Sam will follow on her bike, wherever we go. She's not leaving it on Puyallups City streets unattended for long.
Sam lives in Puyallups. She's got a bartender contact that can get a us a back room in a Coyote Ugly-type bar... It would be a lot closer than going all the way to Downtown.. Auburn is just north of Puyallups. Sam's a regular, so she might have to dance on the bar a few times, but nobody will bother tham after she does. Spades might need to dress down, but the professor is just weird enough to blend in. Heck Scrimp's boys and girls could probably even keep an eye on your car for a small fee.
