str/2+3 if you use the same as a mace. so 11/2 +3 +4 for edge dv correct= 11dv total i think
BishopMcQ
Saytr--Thanks. I just looked at your character sheet this time.

Thanee--Any actions from Siren?

Team--General plan?
Saytr
i guess the biggest question is were there any other pumpkin skulls around to see thier buddy get smashed up. if not and the others around dont care that he got mashed then i suppose Brocks going to get the frag out of there along with the team and keep the collateral damage to a minimum.

Separate from Brock to get clear of the crowd (ad the incoming cruise missiles). If Brock survives, we meet up at the safe house.

I assume at this point no purchases have been made?
BishopMcQ
Redjack--You've managed to acquire the first 13 items from your shopping list. (5d6=13)
Saytr
I hope yall understand that i wouldnt have done that if brock didnt have the vendetta and enemy with the gang he was related to. smile.gif brock will attempt to distance himself from the rest of the team and meat back at the safe house.
Buddha72
No complaints - I'm sure we all have flaws or quirks built into our characters. So far everyone seems to be handling it fine.
Redjack
Ditto.
Redjack
And speaking of negative qualities...
Buddha72
Hmmm well I wasn't exaggerating the broke part so we will see what happens.
Thanee
Casting Makeover twice (for Papa and Siren) to get that stuff off us.

Do you want me to roll these or is buying hits 4:1 ok here?
Buying would give me 4 hits each on Spellcasting/Drain Resistance (Force 5 spell; 2 DV).

I love that spell!
BishopMcQ
Thanee--Buying the hits is fine since you aren't in a stressful situation.
Thanee
Ok.

@Redjack: Has Papa hooked Siren's com up to the teamnet? I'm a little unsure, whether I can read the messages or not. smile.gif

@Thanee/Satyr: Would you post up your comlink specs? I'll work up an upgrade plan for the team after we figure out what we can get for the stuff at the safehouse. We also need to talk about a milk run to generate some cash and supplement our gear.

@Bishop: I'm holding off on all the autosofts and the track program from my shopping list. That brings my total to 24,433 nuyen.gif for this shopping trip and several duffel bags of gear to pack out.
BishopMcQ
Redjack-- Sounds good.
Buddha72
I'm ready to get bumped back to the house.

Saytr--same rules as above for finding the sling at the Market if you want. Otherwise, normal availability rules outside the Market.
BishopMcQ
All-At this point Hamagen is ready to bring in his mage. My understanding is you wanted to negotiate with the Johnson for that talent. If you are instead calling fixers, just let me know and I will transition him in.

For the newcomers, the way I handle karma is that you get 1 point each week on Monday, as long as you posted during the previous week. If you fall behind in posting, please shoot a short message off to the thread just to let me know that you're still alive, but RL has come up. After several weeks with no posts to the thread, I will presume you aren't interested anymore and transition your character out of the thread.

RE: The Milk Run--what specs are you looking for, cash, electronics, guns? Small-time, major score? You can contact fixers, shaking the branches for low hanging fruit, or do searches on a site that you think will have the gear you want and hit it directly. Let me know.
Saytr
I will pass on the sling bishop. I will see about seeing if i can actually pawn it or see if any of the oyher members need a weapon.
Hamagen
Hello everyone.

Saytr
Hello hemagen welcome to the game
.
Buddha72
Welcome Hamagen!

As to the Milk Run - if everything we need can be gotten from one location I saw hit a place and take what we need but if our needs our too diverse then money run it is. I like the idea of a gear run since PbP can be slower since it cuts out a step in the process. I think we need a big score since i know my stuff is over 10k at this point for just the new commlink and if we're going to take time from the main run I would rather get a stash of cash then just focus on the run for awhile. There's my two bits.

As to how to get the new mage I was going to post something IC and let the original member (Papa) decide.
Redjack
@Hamagen: Welcome!!

@Bishop: Reminder, Harvey is Papa's name for the magical matrix entity.

Siren has cast Fashion on her clothes on the way. Buying 4 hits again here.

I suppose Dryads aren't common enough to make that assumption? wink.gif

Changing my font/color for texting etc. I think it's easier to read but let me know if I made it worse.
BishopMcQ
Thanee--You're always free to assume at your own risk. She matches superficial characteristics of simstarlets that have identified themselves as Dryads. Actual knowledge skills would need to be rolled to determine if she's the real deal, or just a poser with some pigment adjustments and cosmetic enhancements.
Thanee
Ok. smile.gif

And another Makeover (F3) to clean Olethros's clothes as well.

Generally, we all use violet for electronic communication and "cyan" for spoken and darkkhaki for thoughts, but any color helps.

@Bishop
Few things I'd like to get a better idea about:
- Size, architecture and number of rooms in the house.
- Neighborhood: Security rating, neighbors, etc.
- Etienne: Was she a dependent of Uetz's? How did she come to be here?
- Where is Rene and how did he come to be here?

Thanks in advance.
BishopMcQ
The house is in a low neighborhood, with middle security and neighbors are a distance away. I'm fairly open on architecture style--a four bedroom, two bath house (plus pixie loft). Rene and Etienne are both dependents of Uetz who live in the house. Uetz took them both to a clinic to have wounds dealt with--burns and bullet holes, emotional trauma is separate.

The house has the following qualities:
Easy-Going Landlord: +1
Feng Shui: +5
Escape Tunnel: +3
Homegrown Farming: +1
No Neighbors: +1
Workplace: +1

Crash Pad: -1
No Forwarding Address: -1
Rough Neighborhood: -1

I believe all of the character who were regularly paying rent are AWOL at the moment, so rent may begin sliding if arrangements aren't made.
Redjack
Papa already has the quality of Dependents, which at this point has been his father, but really not involved in the story line. I'm ok with taking over Etienne & Rene as dependent as well as the house (he had a totally separate lifestyle he paid for). Funny enough... Papa was the primary person using this house as a crash pad.

Edit: Wow... That's around 30k/month... Time to start spoofing some of that lifestyle...
BishopMcQ
General reminder--There are vials from the initial payment--identified as rare reagents 2500-5000 nuyen.gif each depending on buyer. A vial of blood from the creature that first presented the job. The gilded hand mirror. Artifacts in the pixie loft.

Team Lifestyle:
The house is a spacious four bedroom, two bath house on the edge Ascot Hills Park. It has a small loft over a two-car garage and a shop building behind the house.
3 Comforts: (Middle) The house is furnished with an assortment of comfortable furniture, appliances and several house-hold drones.
4 Entertainment: (High) The entertainment system is top end with subscriptions to most channels. Budget is generous towards outings and socializing including concert tickets and standing reservations at good restaurants.
3 Necessities: (Middle) Filtered water from the well, solar cells supplementing the electrical grid and a septic system provide for mostly consistent utilities. The gardens and fruit trees supplementing the menu insure that the tenants eat real food at every meal.
2 Neighborhood: (Low) The area homes are mostly run down and utilities are rationed. People who have jobs are mostly wage slaves, factory workers or dock workers.
3 Security: (Middle) Attention has been paid here. Good locks, cameras, fire & smoke alarms, wireless intrusion detection system, maglocks and monthly stipend to the local community watch (aka resident gang) all add up for a reasonable security package.

+1 Easy-Going Landlord: The old man who owns the property is just happy to have paying tenants.
+5 Feng Shui: The house has been arranged to focus unseen positive energies and divert negative ones. These energies enhance your creative juices. Working from home provides +3 dice to Artisan and Technical skill tests
+3 Escape Tunnel: A previous tenant dug a sizable tunnel from the basement to the basement (now foundation) of a house down the block.
+1 Homegrown Farming: A large garden and numerous fruit trees grow on the property at adjacent in Ascot Hills Park.
+1 No Neighbors: The house on the end of North Indiana Avenue, it stands alone on the block. Other homes were destroyed by quake or fire over the last decade.
+1 Workplace: Garage and outbuilding.

-1 Crash Pad: The team picks up strays routinely. Papa was one of those.
-1 No Forwarding Address: Due to an easy going land-lord, some of the previous tenants were less than scroupulous about keeping their bills paid.
-1 Rough Neighborhood: The neighborhood is a haven for criminal types and a sizable gang claims the turf.

Spoofing elements of the Lifestyle [RC, 153; UW, 99]
Neighborhood (4, 6 hours) Hacking(6) + Spoof(6) + Hot-Sim(2) [4,5,3,1,5,4,1,2,2,5,6,1,4,3] = 4 hits; Success @ 6 hours
Comforts (12, 6 hours) Hacking(6) + Spoof(6) + Hot-Sim(2)
- [3,4,6,2,6,1,1,3,5,5,6,1,4,3] = 5 hits (5)
- [4,4,6,4,1,6,6,1,6,1,3,4,4] = 4 hits (9)
- [6,5,3,5,3,4,5,5,5,6,5,5] = 9 hits (18); Success @ 18 hours

24 - 5 = 19 points = 9,000 nuyen.gif * 1.5 [Papa + Etienne, Rene, Ollie, Brock, Siren] = 13,500 nuyen.gif / month. We'll have to plan for two days this week for Papa to work on the lifestyle
Thanee
Entertainment 4 for a Safe House? wink.gif

Thanee
Redjack
This has become the primary lifestyle for several of us. Plus that will help from nickel and diming expenses. wink.gif

Edit: Truthfully... We need a safe house somewhere.
Redjack
@All
Papa has a sleep regulator, but there is still several days of lifestyle hacking and another day of drone and gear upgrades as well as some consideration to upgrades of team gear. Do we want to reach out to a fixer for a milk-run or look at hitting the place Papa started scoping out? He has personal data about one of the security guards or spiders so that could give us an angle. What do you all think?
Saytr
i think a milk run would take a lot of time not only for the johnson to get togther aka bishop, i think if we hit the store papa was looking at it would be more interesting plus it wouldnt divert us from our current run. i mean a shadowrunner doesnt take on two jobs at once right nyahnyah.gif
BishopMcQ
From my side, it's no more work either way. I'd recommend that the team figure out what they need from the run, and hit that. If the site from before has everything, go there. If you think there will be some missing pieces, call your fixer. Another option would be to hit a runner team that has what you need--hitting a well-equipped group on your terms, rather than being ambushed can let you tie up some loose ends and get a nice haul.
Saytr
sounds like a blast either way.
BishopMcQ
All, my apologies I screwed up the name of Uetz's dependent-- it's Etain, not Etienne. (the latter is the French name that always sounded in my head when I read the former)
Saytr
all good non of the memebers except papa knew her so we can claim ignorance smile.gif papa though calling her by a different name no wonder she stormed off to her room j/k

Oh... I LOVE this idea.
Buddha72
I agree - us hitting something like the other team that fucked with us would be fun. smile.gif Would the site Papa was scoping out have most of what we need? If not, does it have enough assets to sell that we can get the odd one off item?
