Copperheed -- Fun City is the name for the collected area of Anaheim, Tustin, Irvine, etc. All of the amusement parks are there, plus housing and shopping. Picture the Disneyland resort (both parks, downtown disney, surrounding hotels etc.) cranked up to 11 and spread across the entire thing. Instead of the low rent housing there in modern day, the wageslaves and ride operators are put into high-rise tenements, that look shiny on the outside for the tourists but inside they are over populated and covered in AR propaganda reminding everyone to smile and that they are always on camera.

Some areas, you will have to pay to get in, but most of it doesn't have an entry fee.

So Horizon is like Disney and Google rolled into one? Yeesh! I'd known the AAA's were enormous but that really helps put the scale of it in perspective.

All of Anaheim, Tustin and Irvine is huge! Is Costa Mesa in there as well? And Horizon must be the major AAA Corp in the LA area if it owns half of what used to be Orange County. And is that one giant enclave or is it PCC (government owning LA, I think) owned and then leased with specific areas being walled off (or however enclaves are distinguished)

Separately, does the Fake SIN Jillian Valentino need a driver's license if everyone uses GridGuide? I don't see her driving if the car will do it for her.

In any case, what is the nature of the updates she does provide?

Redjack--The majority of the information in her PITO and MeFeed is relational, other people being linked to her or tagging her in photos and articles. Her updates always start with thanking three team members for their help, then transition to posts about her community service outreach projects or her thoughts on the journal articles that she is reading.

Thanee -- You can get his commcode. His Access ID is like asking for the MAC address, not something most people know.
--Mara is an R&D researcher and regular team leader. The fluid hierarchy is such that a rank in the company is hard to put on it, but she has collaborated successfully with the executive teams.
--She's currently working with the AR integration team on a multidiscipline approach to Anxiety and Phobia treatments.
--Mara is a very private individual, most weeks. She has a reputation of being cordial but distant during her off hours, understandably so, since her work can be very stressful and focuses on the inner struggles of the mind and body. She will be at the Beautification Project for the next two days, if you don't mind some hard work.

Sorry about not posting when I said I would last night. It was past 2 and I couldn't form a coherent idea of what to do. I'll try and figure out some matrix research ideas or contact questions. Or my time might be better spent acquiring gear through black market contacts. Hopefully I'll come up with something by Monday night.

And Redjack, did Papa Smurf want me to find a t-bird to get us somewhere fast? I don't know the pricing, but I image the renting costs an arm or a leg since the plane is 1mil or something to buy. I figure getting the process started will have us a plane near when we finish this mission. I don't know the exact times for acquiring gear.

It will likely be cheaper and easier to hire a pilot who owns a t-bird (andnegotiating to run your path etc) than it would be to rent a t-bird free and clear. There is a high cost for trusting a group of criminals to return their million dollar piece of equipment that is designed to be difficult to find and track.

Having a t bird with enough space to carry the team and equipment and then just renting a SUV to get us around would be cheaper.

Yeah I wouldn't trust a group of PCs either! I've DMed before! I wasn't thinking that we'd find one without an owner. Heck, I'm actually interested in having a pilot since they know their bird and probably know more flight routes than I do.

Perfect. I would like to tag the articles to zone in on her area of study and forward those to Siren for use in social engineering. I would also like to catalog her service projects; frequency, length, type. Hopefully I can build a profile about either where she is currently volunteering or how long until I can expect her next service work could be expected to start.

Two ideas:
1) Grab her en-route a la The Italian Job. Of course they were looking at millions per person instead of several tens of thousands a piece.

2) Infiltrate as her chauffeur and just drive away. More difficult but very cool if we can make them not miss her for a while.


These are of course in addition to the grab her while at community service that Papa is investigating. Which honestly is my favorite, but we might need to do it sooner than her next visit.

To help any of these I'd like to find weak links in the support staff (security guards, janitors, etc.) that can be bribed or black-mailed and help give us access. Though the fact that it's an AAA and everyone cares very much about security means that many spy tropes are much harder.

@Team: Any thoughts on these or directions I should take? I'm going to spend my time gently probing Horizon residential compound matrix for weaknesses if there's no better suggestions.

Redjack -- The journal articles seem to focus on neurochemistry and pharmacokinetics based on what words popup in the abstracts. Relevant knowledge skills could focus that a bit more. Her service project should start in less than 2 weeks. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the past service project types.

I agree with Redjack - as to the augments she may have done to her own security. Can we arrange a time to try and assense them? I think Siren or the ally spirits have the best chance of getting the number of successes we need to see if and how they are augmented.

The other angle we could take is to do a new search in the matrix focusing on her security team - see if they have seen any action and how they responded - how augmented did they seem? Is her security private or corp? If corp it seems unlikely she modded them on the sly. Did I miss something IC that suggested she had personal guards?

Remember that Siren shared more specific information about the community service than Papa got from reading the target's blog.

Which security people do you want to assense? The guards at the gate to the enclave or building security?
