If Siren doesn't have the skill and talks to the rest of the team, Dalma and Father both have it at a fairly high rating.
Thanee
Good idea. smile.gif

QUOTE (BishopMcQ @ Dec 7 2012, 07:15 PM) *
It is dying.

I was wondering, how that is even possible, but NPCs only have one condition monitor (i.e. stun = physical damage for them), right?

Still, it seems a little weird, that he is dying, when the majority of damage was stun. smile.gif

Thanee
BishopMcQ
Thanee--

It took 9 boxes of Stun damage (8 base +1 net hit) filling its Stun track and knocking it out, then 9 boxes of Physical damage (7 base DV +2 flechette +1 net hit -1 soak)

The critter has a Willpower of 2 and a Body of 2, giving it damage tracks of 9 boxes on each side. It hasn't gone into Overflow Damage yet, but has both tracks completely full which I'd consider "Dying" from an assensing perspective. Grunts would be dead at this point, but named NPCs (like this team and their pets) get a little leeway--overflow and personal Edge.

Dalma will tell you it appears to be a Bandit, minor paracritter raccoon. The species is much more intelligent than normal raccoons, are tool users, and have opposable thumbs.
Thanee
Ah, I see. Thanks! Didn't consider that the pistol could do that much damage with just one hit, heh. smile.gif

Thanee
BishopMcQ
Thanee--It's an Eichiro Hatamoto mk II.
Fenris
It's not a pistol, it's a very, very sawed off shotgun biggrin.gif

So, can we just move the creature? How far is it to the site of the crash?

I have to admit, OOC I'm really trying to avoid not taking what we can out of this otherwise failed mission.
Saytr
I wouldn't say we failed. The rival team has been put down. The furry critter is badly injured and otherwise incapacitated, it's master on the other hand is no where to be found. The two brutes are out of e picture and the creepy knife throwing crazy guy is out. We just need to find out who the girl is and what artifacts they have.
BishopMcQ

Yes, Docwagon isn't a group of hit men for hire. If no one tries to stop the crew from collecting their patient or makes hostile action towards the DW team itself, they will take the patient and leave.

The crash site is about half a kilometer away as the crow flies. Closer to five kilometers by roads.

I think the big problem here is that we don't have all the information in-character. Everyone is playing their character with what they would know but not everyone knew that the store from the 1st money run was connected to a criminal org and that the team of runners we were after were on the run from Interpol. The information was put out there - I assume to be used by the players but I am not clear why it's not all being shared since I don't have access to character sheets. Does Papa have a reason for holding back intel? Which is fine, I would just like to know why OOC. It would reduce my frustration considerable.

Our weekly total is 125.
Thanee
Summoning a F3 Spirit of Man (with Innate Spell: Heal).

Magic + Summoning -> 4 hits vs. 1 => 3 services owed
Drain Resistance (DV 2) -> 7 hits

Papa shared all the intel. In earlier posts I thought I made that clear...? He provided reports, video... a complete package to the team.

My frustration is that we continually seem inept. It seems that each plan seems to completely and utterly unravel. I don't think we are acting like a team, just a bunch of individuals. I'm ready for another run to kick off quick and for us to try and feel each other's strengths and weaknesses.... and to start anticipating how to get the bad guys and plan for their contingencies.

BishopMcQ
Redjack--I saw the upload of everything from UCLA, but information from your friend about Interpol I don't recall. Likewise, the data packet you pulled off of Kieri's commlink of photos of a bunch of Europeans (the Interpol team themselves) was put on the back burner in your post. Either way, I think Buddha is saying that he hasn't read your posts as sharing info.

One thing we can do is to say is that all Matrix data is disseminated to the team unless you specifically say that you aren't sharing it.

Team--Are you grabbing anything from the house or just booking it at this point? Docwagon has been successfully steered away. What is the next step/job you want to do? Are you going to go after Crater Lake or do you want another small job to work out the kinks?
BishopMcQ
Everyone on the OOC thread can also ask from time to time, "hey I remember X, is that right?" or "have we thought about Y?" That way if something is overlooked, the tam has a chance to catch it before it comes storming down on them.
Buddha72
I was going to look around and loot IC - can we get a list of what's there? Let me know if you need any rolls to go with it like Perception etc.

I say let's try another side run then and see if we can work the kinks out of our team dynamic. After looking over whatever we just picked up we can see what other gear holes we need to fill.

Though I am hesitant to ask - do we want to find a replacement mage since we lost our last one? I think Thanee mentioned that Siren wasn't quite the the full mage type of character.
Thanee
Yeah, for one, Siren cannot astrally project and has 0 Counterspelling. wink.gif

She is more of a support mage.

If there are specific types of things you are looking for let me know. If you are looking for expensive, easily portable stuff--roll the relevant skill + Intuition for off the cuff appraisals. If you want to take time, dissect it and check part numbers then you can roll Logic instead.

Electronics would use Hardware, weapons would use the skill to wield it, explosives is Demolitions.

Specific knowledge skills like Weapon Appraisals, Car Values etc will have lower thresholds and yield more precise data.

At a glance, there are lots of guns, knives, and explosives. Some electronics are mixed around the room, as well as, the large computer frame. A crate of ampules, looks like a combat drug for injection, along with several auto injectors. There is a motorcycle and the mini excavator.

Papa decides that full disclosure is probably the best idea here.
QUOTE (Redjack @ Jun 25 2012, 09:29 AM) *
A little back in this game are the results of Papa's first physical recon and matrix penetration. He will be candid about all aspects, including the security guard's comlink.
QUOTE (Redjack @ Oct 4 2012, 10:49 AM) *
He downloads copies of the pictures and data to a datachip and sticks it in his pocket. Time for that later.

I found out why I thought I brought the details about interpol out and where Papa had not yet provided the pictures. I will post a new IC post to reflect everything.
Buddha72
Close Combat + Intuition
6d6.hits(5)=1

I'm looking for small melee weapons, thrown weapons and I would love to snag the bike since I am currently without a vehicle.
Saytr
Brock will grab any heavy weaponry that was laying around along with ammunition, explosives, etc since he cannot see magic he can't tell what's magic or not.
BishopMcQ
So I have 2 people looting and 2 people bugging out. Dalma will bug out, Jenni?
Fenris
Jenni will be following along with Ollie. Since he's looting, she'll do the same. With DocWagon diverted and Papa scanning for any incoming vehicles, I think we can take our time and just take all the easily portable stuff, right?
BishopMcQ
You can carry what fits in your arms. If you want a vehicle in here, I'll need Piloting test to navigate the ditch in the road.
Saytr
Brock's gopher should be able to fit through there. 8d6.hits(5) → [1,6,2,5,5,2,3,5] = (4)
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3824459/
BishopMcQ
I was asked to roll for Jenni to move things along.
12d6.hits(5)=2
Fenris
If I can off-road it through the trees, I will. If not, pull off the last two dice, same number of hits:

Pilot(2) + Reaction(6) + Handling(-2/0) (8d6.hits(5)=3)
BishopMcQ
Everything not nailed down upstairs:

1 computer (pre-Crash 2.0)
Brace of 10 throwing knives (poisoned) Chemistry test to identify toxin
Crate of glass ampules (100)
4 autoinjectors
12 AK-97s
1 Remington 950
200 Assault Rifle rounds (Regular)
50 Sporting Rifle rounds (APDS)
1 Eichiro Hatamoto Mk II
10 shotgun rounds (Regular)
1 full ceramic Colt Manhunter
50 Hvy Pistol rounds (Regular)
20 Hvy Pistol rounds (Hi-C)
12 Flash-Bang grenades (hand thrown)
1 Splash grenade (Surtr)
11 White Phosphorous grenades
5 throwing knives (alchemical compounds) Enchanting test to identify purpose
1 set FFBA full for slim human female, large male human (2), large male Ork, slender male human.
50m of DetCord
10kg R12 Plastic Explosives
5 detonator caps
5 radio detonators
2 preset charges (DV 22, -6/m) with magnetic couple

Let me know if anyone is going into the basement.
Saytr
Brock will be doing a full search as long as sirens aren't sounding and the gopher isn't over loaded.
Redjack
It seems that the team has voted to stay.

Question: Is the van relatively hidden away and with an alternate exit from the inbound emergency vehicles?
If so, Papa will deploy fly-spies, help load the truck and begin scanning for wireless signals as they salvage. His primary concern at this point is an evac plan.
Please note: he is wearing a face mask.
Saytr
That's is true brock has his full body suit on as we'll as his helmet too smile.gif
BishopMcQ
The emergency vehicles are moving from the other side of the mountain (Big Bear instead of San Bernadino). The van is tucked away from the main road, if you want to hide it more thoroughly, an Infiltration + Reaction test for the van can work.
Buddha72
Intuition + Assensing (+3 dice for Initiate Grade)
9d6.hits(5)=4

Feel free to add or drop dice for the modifiers for the Psychometry Table.
Thanee
Summoning a F6 Spirit of Man (with Innate Spell: Levitate and Movement) to search the man and bring him back without drawing too much attention (thanks to Search, Influence, and Concealment, the spirit should be well-equipped to do that).

Summoning -> 4 hits
Spirit's Resistance -> 4 hits eek.gif
Drain Resistance (DV 8 ) -> 6 hits (2 boxes of physical damage)

Try again, after a short pause...

Summoning -> 4 hits
Spirit's Resistance -> 3 hits (1 service owed)
Drain Resistance (DV 6) -> 3 hits + Edge Reroll -> 4 hits

Bye
Thanee
BishopMcQ
Thanee--Please roll Willpower + Charisma
Thanee
Willpower + Charisma -> 2 hits

Bye
Thanee
BishopMcQ
Thanee--you will resist the compulsion.
Thanee
Ok, then Siren will definitely assense the guy afterwards.

Intuition + Assensing -> 4 hits

BishopMcQ
Winokur is afraid and hungry, Infected, has a Magic of 1 and Essence of 1.8. He has a datajack implanted on his inner arm.
Fenris
Just as an OOC note, nothing personal! The player is just thinking that this character doesn't really work with the thread, so I'm going to pull in a different character that I think will work better with the group.

So yeah, I'm not leaving, just Jenni!
Saytr
sounds good. jenni was a nice touch to have while she was there.
Buddha72
Same thing here - bringing in a new character who will be paired up with Fenris - we think the new pair will be more helpful and frankly, we hardly ever get to play a pair concept so we're jumping at the chance. smile.gif
BishopMcQ
Saytr--if Brock is approaching Winokur with a rope or gag, I will need a Willpower + Charisma roll please.
BishopMcQ
Team--I am also bringing in a new player, copperheed, to fill some of the skill gaps and fill our spot from Hamagen.
Saytr
Cool.
Redjack
Hack the bike
[3,2,5,6,5,5,5,2,3,2,6,5,4,3,4,5] = 8 hits [8]
[5,1,5,2,6,5,2,3,4,1,5,5,2,5,1] = 7 hits [15]
[5,6,3,1,2,3,4,2,5,6,2,5,2,1] = 5 hits [20]
Does the bike have a gyro stabilizer?

Hack the car
[6,2,2,5,5,2,2,3,4,1,1,5,6,5,2,2] = 6 hits [6]
[4,6,2,4,5,6,4,5,5,6,5,1,2,3,1] = 7 hits [13]
[3,6,1,1,1,2,6,3,2,1,2,4,4,6] = 3 hits [16]

What are the details on the two vehicles? Also, Ollie noted an excavator? Is that wired?

Check out the car bombs and insure that they are not active.
[1,1,6,3,3,3,4,1] = 1 hit.
----------------
Sounds like it is now time to leave.
Saytr
Agreed rediscovery. Brock can take care of the vampire, seems the best course of action considering his past. Bishop Brock will be quick about it, being tied up and used as a milking cow for whatever their experiments Brock still horrible about the mass grave, once the vehicles are moved and everyone is safe Brock will take the vampire inside the house and take of it and use one of the white phosphorus grenades to ensure the vampire and house goes up using what ever accelerates are available.
Buddha72
Our weekly total is 126.
BishopMcQ
To be clear, Winokur is not tied, bound, or gagged.

Redjack-- no gyrostabilizer. Yes the bombs are inactive but detonators have been put in.
Fenris
Oh, no juice on that one, huh? Just a question, no vampy mind-tricks?
BishopMcQ
Fenris--No Compulsion. He only used it on the person who sent a really big spirit after him...
Saytr
So winokur , He is a vampire by the sounds of. Blood suckers need to go for a fire and dirt nap wink.gif
Sadly this is my willpower and charisma -wund modifiers lol
