Well I came home today and #757 was sitting at my door. And I had just picked up #967 at my FLGS because I thought I wasn't going to get one because I ordered it too late (3/31/10) and figured that Battlecorps let me order it even though it was out of stock. And my wife says I can't keep it.
So anyone want to buy copy #967?

Yes, at the front of the inside cover, there is a second "Lary Elmore SR1/2 Color plate" that says "THis is a Limited Edition: XXX of XXX".
Caine got #707, as a note. The bastard. SHould have opened his box

BTW, from reading this thread, it seems they got shipped in numerical order, so hang on if you haven't got yours yet.

How come we havent seen any low numbers? Its weird they are in the 2/3 (500 - 1000) (majority if not all, I'm not going to go and recheck everyones number
)
Anyone have an idea? I think I read somewhere that only 500 were going to FLGS, so perhaps they are the first or last 500?

In the near-Seattle town of Lacey, the FLGS had one copy in excellent condition. They also had Midnight and have restocked both Seattle 2072 and Vice.

Most of the really low numbers -- under 50, perhaps under 100 -- are typically saved for contributors.

I've got #104. Ordered mine through an FLGS out in the US west coast (bay area).

Yeah, I think it's pretty much completely random, outside of the low numbered batch going directly to CGL to be given away, as Adam noted.

The guy that owns the FLGS told me that he asked distributer how many copies he received and he was told either four or seven, I can't remember which. But that is for the entire west coast.
It was a casual conversation, I didn't ask if that was for california only or what. Any way, I got one, one of my players got another and there is a copy on the shelf at the store!
When I got home, I realized that the copy number is actually on a sticker on the shrink wrap. I kicked myself for not checking the other two and getting the lowest number! If they shipped in any kind of order, number 101 can be sitting there on the shelf. Oh well.

I bought #263 from the FLGS - just off the shelf, no reserved/pre-order preference - so I wouldn't say that the pre-order folks will necessasarily get the lower numbers.

Yup, they had some older stuff, too. SR1 adventures and whatnot, stuff I already own. There was another place up in Summerville I was going to check out if I struck out there, Here Be Books and Games.

Alright, alright already. Since my Landlady wasn't home today, I have time to share:
#1#2And I don't know what my cat Zephyr's more smug about, the fact that because they've upped the signature length limit since the last time I updated it, I don't have to delete her question she once tried to post to Dumpshock, or the fact that she's going to be able to flip through it before I do, because I have to go off to work now. It's almost as bad as the time that Running Wild came out and she was convinced that her Dumpshock question gave whichever freelancer was responsible for Emergent Critters chapter the inspiration for the Bastet; she was postively insufferable then.

#818 came today.
This is my first limited edition Shadowrun book, and my second for any game. The other is my green Call of Cthulhu with red ink. I've never even played that game. It was a total impulse buy. I'd likely use this book, rather than save it, if I were running Shadowrun. I've never really been a "collector".

I don't really collect. I just realized it's my 3rd 20th Anniversary copy and my 6th total SR4 corebook copy. It really isn't doing me much good.

The non-LE 20th anniversary (two copies of that for use in the group)
The LE 20th anniversary (mostly just to support, like I have in the past)
3 copies of the SR4 book, mostly for other group members (was there an LE of the regular SR4? I might have one of them as well, making it 4.)
Actually, that's just print. I'm really not sure how many PDF copies I've bought to get friends interested or help a player out. But in terms of collection? No, not really. I just tend to have a fair amount of free spending cash, since my expenses are fairly low. My money went to support Catalyst/Wildfire/Posthuman over the years, but I don't really collect and keep anything hidden away in some kind of preserved sleeve. It just goes on the shelf (or currently, on the floor, as I'm in the middle of reorganizing).

I hit that point with SR3. At one time I had 4 copies of the BBB. Gave one away, but I think I still have 3. Plus at least 2 copies of all the SR2 and SR3 core supplements.

Upthread, someone suggested that they should have overnighted everyone their orders. While that didn't happen, maybe they made a decision to bump everyone up to the fastest of their three normal shipping options? Or maybe it just made things quicker and easier on Tara to have to print out just one type of mailing label.
