Crap, I missed the bike AND a drone! I suck at being perceptive.
Our characters didn't even exchange phone numbers...we are noobs.
Mister Juan
Oct 11 2005, 01:17 AM
Well, the place was simply way too public to exchange any kind of information. Thats why George pushed for such a quick exit... he's in a hurry to get some questions answered
Sicarius
Oct 11 2005, 10:32 AM
In your defense, the drone was next to impossible for the folks in the car to see, because it is almost directly above you, where as it was easier for Juan to see. Likewise, the bike was harder for Juan to see, since he is A. busy driving, and B. its behind him., versus the Drone, which is just hanging in the air.

Since they're at a stoplight,
Caitlin will try to knock out the biker with a stunbolt. Here are the rolls:

Using 3 dice from Spell Pool for casting, and the other 3 to soak Drain, casting the stunbolt at 6S.

QUOTE |
A metahuman character with the Human-Looking Edge can "pass" for human in most circumstances. Human non-player characters respond with Netural attitudes toward such characters when making Social Skill Tests. Additionally, human npc do not roll on the Racism Table when interacting with a Human-Looking character, unless they are in very close proximity to the character. Only elves, dwarfs and orks can take the Human-Looking Edge

Caitlin will have the cab take a circituous route ending a block or so from her place, then will wander just enough to flush out any tails, before finally getting her stuff out of her place. Perception check if I need it:
[ Spoiler ]
16, 05, 04, 04, 04, 01
At her place, she will grab her duffel bag, and put her medkit, a set of spare supplies, and her three antidote patches in it. She will also take off her secure ultra-vest, and put it in the duffel as well, swapping it out for her secure jacket.

What rating Microtransciever does George want Juan? It will make a difference for how long it will take, and also what it will cost.
Mister Juan
Oct 17 2005, 09:04 PM
Well, something that is quick to get and has short / medium range.... so something like rating 3 (I don't have my book with me at the moment... so I'm not sure what distance it broadcasts over at that rating).
Sicarius
Oct 17 2005, 09:20 PM
ok
Glyph
Oct 18 2005, 02:44 AM
So who's paying for them?
Hobbes has a limited amount of money for "expenses" (or at least, that's what he says), and the other two team members are not likely to pony up several thousand for gear when the run is only paying 4,500
.
Mister Juan
Oct 18 2005, 02:49 AM
Well, George is going to bargain the price, as I already "rolled" for. If its too much cred, you can just say no
Mister Juan
Oct 18 2005, 02:53 AM
And you know what, scratch the rating 3.
Rating 1 is quite sufficient. With rating 1, it has a flux of 1 and so, a range of 1km. Which is MORE than enough.
Brings the price tag to 1 000
before negociation. I believe its a good PC investment to get comm gear, and after all, you can always sell it back after the run. So the thing will end up having cost you about 500 to 750
per unit. Not such a bad deal.
Glyph
Oct 19 2005, 02:26 AM
That's not as bad. Caitlin would probably find that price acceptable - heck, even Hobbes might find it an acceptable business expense.

Unless George has anything else to say, Nadia doesn't have anything she really needs to do until Glyph returns. If everyone else is cool and the gM has nothing planned for the interim, I vote for a time-shift forward.
Mister Juan
Oct 21 2005, 11:19 PM

Glyph
Oct 22 2005, 02:06 AM
Yeah, my trip has been done all in spoiler tags, so I'm holding off on posting IC until my character gets back. I'm sure George wants to question her, as he did Nadia, about what abilities she brings to the table.
Mister Juan
Oct 22 2005, 02:46 AM
If this can hurry things along, George will be the next to go get his gear. Here's what he'll grab.
[ Spoiler ]
Ceska (full Ex Ex clip in, no reload)
in right ankle holster
Savalette Guardian (full Ex Ex clip in, 2 reload carried on a clip holster on his left hip)
right hip holster
Colt Cobra TZ-118 (full Ex Ex clip in, 4 reloads, all across his belt, on his back, sound supressor)
carried on a quick detach shoulder rig, under left arm
2 Flash Grenade
1 Flash pak
2 Smoke IR Grenades
Secure Jacket
Mortimer Greatcoat
5 Antiode Patch
1 Trauma Patch
5 Stimulant Patch
3 Long Haul Doses
Micro transceiver unit
Before leaving the hotel, he'll make sure that the doorman with whom Nadia got arrangement before his still there and that he'll be there when he comes back.
If Miron calls him back, concerning the rating 1 comm gear, before he leaves, he'll tell Nadia and Caitlin about it, and will pick them up if they're willing to.

I would rather not fast forward at present, waiting for Nadia and Caitlin to react to the latest serious of events.
Glyph
Oct 26 2005, 03:48 AM
Well, Caitlin is obviously not pleased that their Johnson did something dangerous that they couldn't do anything about, but she's not going to chew out their employer - she's already made her security concerns known. So the only reaction left, for me, is when George calls her and Nadia about the transceivers.

Mush. I am not familiar with the mimicry power you are using. Do you need a roll of some kind to emulate a voice? If you do i'll need you to make one of those. Other than that, please give me a initative roll. I am assuming your first action is to flee the bar?

Voice Control:
"The adept can mask her voice, imitate sounds in the range of metahuman vocalisation and even copy another persons' voice."
This is what NSRCG says about the power, but I cannot find it in either SR3 or MitS. It is probably in SOTA which I don't own, sorry. I would be fine with making some sort of Charisma or Con check, it's up to you.

A Note about Combat:
What I would like to do is work out each combat round OOC and than post a single IC post describing what happened in a given round.
I will not be putting combat mechanics in spoilers, so that everyone can read them and keep me on track in case I make a mistake. It does happen, and I do not worry if i am corrected, especially since i am gaming from work without some of the benefits of the book.
Nadia your initiative roll was 13. You'll be going on Phase 13, and 3. Combat began AFTER you Mimicked him. Your opponent will be operating on phases 23,13, and 3. The three Urban Brawl fans who are coming to your aid will be going on 9, 7, and 6.
