Calisto and Hafiz went back to the ranch after Jaron was found to be ok...
Calisto:
Hafiz opens the door and drops down out of the SUV. You see his eyes glaze over and he slumps against the side of the car for a few seconds. When he straightens again, he looks over to you.
"Okay, we should be able to go in. You don't have an internal biomonitor which is configured to the network so I shut down the security for a little while."
The Arab man then proceeds into the house, moving with a sense of purpose and ignoring the damage dealt to the lawn and door jamb as easily as families ignore the dead elephant in their living room. He collects two large overnight bags worth of clothing and toiletries before going into the office.
You trail behind him, keeping a watchful eye out for anything dangerous. As he opens one of the drawers in the desk and pulls out a small case, your eye is caught by a blinking light from another room. Turning you see three comfortable ergonomic chairs with obvious harnesses for datacables. Tracing the cables with your eyes, you see they plug straight into Jaron's PLTG which fills the better part of the room.
"We are going, yes?"
Hafiz stands behind you with one bag in hand, the other slung over his shoulder.
-----
Calisto raises a single eyebrow. "A moment Hafiz, can you tell me what that is?" With a lazy motion she directs her hand towards the chairs, her face remains open and curious.
------
Calisto:
"That is the 'command center.' Mr Jaron uses it when he goes into the matrix. Modifications were made to the grid to route some of the processing power as a makeshift deck--he tells me it is stronger than the ones Fairlight sells on the market. I'm not sure more than that though...I do not use such things. If you'd like I can have him explain it to you."
Hafiz looks attentive but ready to go.

Was going to sit in the van as backup.
Sorry if I haven't been posting as often these last few weeks. My fiancee is taking two summer classes in addition to working 50 hours a week with a 1-1/2 hour commute, and I have to spend time helping her stay prepared each day, which unfortunately, cuts down on Shadowrun time. She'll be out in two more weeks though.

Guess not. Donovan will be in the van. I'm assuming he's on the same radio frequency, since he has the stuff to communicate -- Micro-Transceiver and Transducer.

I'm pushing the thread along...
Question for the group, did you want to go through the whole experience in the Resonance Well or just have me rush through it. The resonance well unfortunately is pretty much an Otaku only thing (and I've never found a good description of it...) but I could arrange for fun stuff outside the well to happen for the team.
Also time to check in, are people enjoying themselves, is there anything I can change to make the game better?
Where do you plan on going after Trixie takes the dive? Are you going to go back to the Renraku host, find Mennon, head back to Seattle and work from your own home turf?
Ecclesiastes
Aug 18 2005, 08:14 PM
Once I take the dive, we'll have to go back to Renraku and dig up those files linking them to the BTLs. Then I want to use my new Traceroute Echo to track down Mennon and see what we can get out of him. What does everyone else think?
Shadow

If we go back to Seattle I will be much more armed (my helicopter).
I will of course bow to the will of the group.
I am having fun Mcq, as I said the worm and work is killing me. I think once we get past this point we will be doing better. I think breeze through the well with Ecce.
Fenris

I did my entry back on the 8th..
Sorry for the gap. I caught a virus that nearly killed me. The last time I felt this sick was 11 years ago, and this was still worse. 5 days of hell. I'm feeling better today for the first time.
I don't care if we do the well jump or not. Since I have never even read the Otaku section of Matrix, it might be interesting.
I think the game is going pretty well. It's not all action, but that seems to be working. I think it would be nice to kill some people. Lots of people. That's just me though. If there is something coming up for Donovan to do, I think he'd like to do something other than hang out with Jester all the time. No offense to Jester.
Buddha72
Aug 20 2005, 03:48 PM
Enjoying the game (sorry for late post, lots of shifts this week) and I agree with more killing but that's more selfish on my part since my character's built to hack people up.

I like the flow and the constant background tension. I came into the game knowing there might be little for me to do but look menancing.
On the what next question, I've been following the groups lead so we'll see what pops up after the Dive and what info we can find then.
