Also, since I was running it through my deck, can I review what happened through my deck?

McQuillan, can I check the physical makeup of the chip itself? I don't have a wireless link on my deck, and a chip shouldn't physically contain the components necessary to transmit over a wireless connection, unless it's heavily modified, as far as I know

Does the chip look like it's been modified in such a way?
Computer(hardware): 2,2,8,8,1,3

You'd have to crack the chip open.

Ecclesiastes
Sep 2 2004, 07:49 PM
Basicly, try to reverse-engineer the sucker.
Fenris
Sep 2 2004, 09:06 PM
If you cut out the hard disk--The optical chip for all intents and purposes--and connected something else that was able to interface with the hardware, you could run a series of tests on the hardware.
To reverse engineer the software separate, you would most likely need to run some kind of simulation that convinced the chip that the hardware was there, so it didn't stop and look for the gear.
A shop would be best geared to deal with this level of separation. It is possible to do it with a kit, but at penalty.
Edit: This time McQuillan was using Fenris' account. Sorry everyone.
