I am fine with things the way we are. We have a soldi group that is working well together.
Don't mess with perfection.

Well, Biomage likes to break stuff..
The entering part is easy after the door is broken.
I think we're ok right now. If we need to recruit someone, Jaron's our man. He didn't die or anything in the last few minutes did he?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If Trixie has a biomonitor, I'd like to connect Biomage's datajack to hers and get a reading for easier diagnosis.
Biotech Test: 2, 5, 2, 5, 5 (for diagnosis)
Aura Reading: 4, 3, 4, 5, 4 (for diagnosis)
Biotech Test: 7, 3, 1, 1, 1 (for treatment) too many 1s

Also, I would like to put 1 point into SMG (B/R) to begin a new skill at Rating 1.

No, your fixer hasn't died yet...
Leowulf--May I recommend the use of Karma...you have a TN#9 for first aid...and the scene is about to change which will trigger a karma refresh.
Leowulf
Sep 21 2004, 06:29 PM
Alright. I'll use 3 for rerolling the 1s.
1, 1, 1 - what the hell??
I don't think it's meant to be...
I'll try again. (TN 11?)
Biotech Test: 3, 4, 5, 5, 3
Biotech (13?) Test: 1, 5, 3, 1, 3
Biotech (15?) Test: 11, 2 ,2, 11, 2
Biotech (17?) Test: 2, 3, 2, 1, 3
Biotech (19?) Test: 4, 2, 9, 4, 10
Um.. how wounded is she? If it's a matter of stabilizing her, use my Sorcery Test, but only if she doesn't already have overflow damage. If not, street doc time!
Sorcery (?) Test, casting Heal 5: 9, 4, 2, 2, 5
+Spell Pool: 2, 4, 10, 2, 11
+Power Focus Rating: 2
If it is used,
Drain Resistance Test (TN ?): 5, 2, 5, 5, 8
Oh, Great GM, have mercy on us!

I'm at Serious Stun. Shes just sleeping right now basicly. Or at least I think so...
BishopMcQ
Sep 21 2004, 08:42 PM
Leowulf--Using Karma let's you re-roll all of the dice that are not successes...so you get to re-roll the entire test. not just the ones...though in my addled state I gave you the TN for physical damage. Trixie is flooded with Stun damage so biotech won't help.
Ecc--It was stun...and you can come out of the flashbacks when you are ready...
Edit: mistyped.
Shadow
Sep 21 2004, 09:17 PM
Don't you have to have at least on success though to use karma to reroll?
@ Leo,
I was lmao reading those rolls. I kept expecting you to make it though.
BishopMcQ
Sep 21 2004, 09:47 PM
Shadow--I prefer to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and let them re-roll for Karma...botching though you have to burn one to avoid the botch...no re-roll allowed.
Open tests, if I don't have a TN in mind, you get to re-roll one die per karma point spent. I will let people know if it is an open test.

FYI - the med kit is the Savior type so you get a -2 to TNs for using it. Sorry for the late post but been having a super goof off day.

Heads up, I will be around a little bit in the next 48 hours but I may not be posting as much as I normally do, for I have the extreme pleasure of having all four wisdom teeth ripped out of my skull with a pair of rusty pliers.
I'm probably exaggerating about the pliers, but I haven't heard anything good about this process...
Shadow

If you can all help it, be unconscious. And whatever you do, under no circumstances should you ever, and I mean EVER
BishopMcQ
Sep 22 2004, 06:43 AM
Ever what??
Leowulf
Sep 22 2004, 03:25 PM
@Shadow
Yeah, I was expecting to make it too. I've recently made the space in which I roll my dice smaller. I think I'll go back to the old way. It got me better rolls.
@McQuillan
Getting your wisdom teeth out isn't
quite as bad as you're thinking it will be. They give you tons of novicane, which in my case, always makes me drowsy. I almost fell asleep on the long drive home, which was 45 minutes. If you have a long drive, you may wish to have someone drive you because they prettymuch have to knock you out for the procedure anyway.
The real fun starts afterward, during recovery. Follow the doctor's directions, or you'll be sorry. Make sure you drink something periodically, so you can keep the empy sockets wet. Dry socket can be painful, so they tell me. I never got it. After each meal, use the special syringe they give you to wash the food out of them. It will be much more comfortable.
I'll edit my post then, since it's only stun damage.

Sep 22 2004, 04:06 PM
Browny points to who ever can name the movie I took my line from.
Just joshin you Mcq. Drink liquids, get rest and don't eat anything solid for a few days and you will be fine. Though I was knocked out for the procedure.
Edit: I am a suck speller and I have had no sleep. Sorry.

Does Trixie have a clear memory of what happened? Does she recognize the guy from her dream telling her to come to him and whatnot?
BishopMcQ
Sep 22 2004, 07:19 PM
Hey all--I've finally resumed consciousness. Thanks for the advice! I still don't remember much of anything after waking up in the dentist and the drive home...but that's why I have close friends who can let me know exactly how stupid I was being....
Ecc--Yes Trixie has a perfectly clear memory. The man from your flashback is a complete stranger, you've never seen him before in the real world or during your flashbacks.

@Shadow
Wild guess: Spaceballs? In reference to the Ludicrous Speed setting for the warship?
"Ludicrous Speed. GO!" LOL!
Anyway, Biotech Roll to try and determine if Trixie suffered permanent brain damage or other effects from the attempt at psychotropic conditioning.
3, 5, 3, 5, 10
Aura Reading (same, complementary skill?): 11, 2, 5, 3, 2
I realize that, according to Matrix, Biomage will be unable to detect psychotropic conditioning because he does not have a medical shop.

Sep 23 2004, 03:55 AM
A brief reminder to the people who have played in my tabletops and a general head's up to the rest. A decent street etiquette roll can get you access to an illegal matrix connection that hasn't been connected to your activities if you are feeling pressed to get the info into Shadowland.
Also remember, I'm always looking for feedback and input an what you want more or less of in the game.

Fenris
Sep 23 2004, 06:07 PM
Doc, I think, to get Trixie checked out before the trip, right?
Did Hafiz mention a timer on that flight anyway?
BishopMcQ
Sep 23 2004, 06:15 PM
Fenris--Hafiz hasn't given any time tables yet.

Ecclesiastes
Sep 23 2004, 10:17 PM

Hey McQ, can you throw out a blurb of us going to Feris' house and any others then ending up at a street doc?
BishopMcQ
Sep 24 2004, 01:34 AM
done.
Leowulf
Sep 24 2004, 11:18 AM
Address? "It's on :mumble: Street, near that restaurant called uh.. :mumble:."
Nice setup McQuillan. I think I'll use that in future games.

McQ:
Can you give some flavor text of the two of them (assuming Cal goes with him) walking to the van.
Here's a perception check if you need it.
21 10 05 03 03 03 01 Dang with that roll I hope you do need it
Shadow
Sep 28 2004, 10:07 AM
Ok Buddha, here is what I am thinking. Jester will use his RC deck to start the Vans engine and engage the passenger side door. He will then make a run for it. WHen he does I expect who ever took out Wren will make a try for him, when they do, you will spot them and take them out...
Sound like a plan?
Buddha72
Sep 28 2004, 04:23 PM
Gotcha covered.
Perception for Calisto
17 08 07 05 05 05 04 04 03 01
Small Unit Tactics (plus Task pool)
11 04 02 02 (2 successes so 1 extra die for us if we do get jumped)
BishopMcQ
Sep 29 2004, 04:59 AM
Any sensors from the Van or Firebat?
Shadow
Sep 29 2004, 06:02 AM
Yeah, the Van has a sensor rating of 4 and I am going full active.
Sensor Check (It's perception plus sensor rating right?)

Ok I am assuming we ordered locally so I will wait for a flavor blurb from McQuillan then roll some street rolls to see if we can find out what happened.

Sep 29 2004, 06:19 PM
I think it is a complex action to bring the turret up and a simple action to get a target lock on the guy. Let me know what rolls you need.

Shadow: Roll reaction for me.
Shadow

If you mean suprise here it is:
08 08 07 05 05 05 05 04 04 03 02 01 01 If you ment initiative:
05 04 02 + 13 = 24I figure you will need both anyways
BishopMcQ
Sep 29 2004, 06:28 PM
With nine successes you go first.
Shadow
Sep 29 2004, 06:31 PM
I am going to hold my action till I know more about my target. If he makes any hostile moves or if he gets to close I will use a simple action to tell him to back away and a simple action to shoot a three round burst with the FN mag.
As it is I just don't want to open up blind on him and kill some guy who I don't know.
Shadow
Sep 29 2004, 06:32 PM
OK so I just read your IC. Scratch the last post I am going to open up with a 6 roun burst.
