I agree that the size of trolls should be a big fucking deal, and that the system has never seriously accounted for it. I think thats a stronger argument for fixing the system than removing trolls though, even if it just means hashing out a stealth penalty and the modifier to hit them.

Fuchs, what program are you using to generate those?
Fuchs
DAZ Studio

I was wondering.

I wonder who, if anyone, makes the Troll Friendly reinforced toilets? Otherwise I forsee a lot of mess and cracked porcelin from Trolls trying to squeeze into cubicles when nature calls!

Even if there's no money in it, I'm sure corps do this. It's in everyone's best interest to have troll-reinforced toilets.

(Here's a Link to average-sized Troll, Ork, Human and Elf (250, 190, 175 und 190 cm).

That's very nice, Fuchs. Play with the bulk of the builds a little bit, add a dwarf, and you've got one of my all-time favorite SR resources. For bonus points, add a male and female of each metatype.

Nice. If you have the time showing the same group walking into a building through a normal sized door and another showing them sitting at a normal sized table would be cool.

Male Races Lineup

Troll and Ork are stockier (10 and 5%). Average relative height for every race (120 cm, 175 cm, 190 cm, 190 cm, 250 cm)

Not the hippest undies in the world but a very cool pic all the same.

There's also probably a problem in that a large sized troll will have breeding difficulties w/ a basic human (there is such a thing as too big).

Are you saying that troll mothers are incapable of being fertilized by human fathers due to size difference? What about orc fathers, though?

...or were you thinking of all trolls as male?

Male trolls and female humans, I suppose.

Some stuff I forgot to comment on:

This is an unsound assumption to make. Consider, for example, the average penis size of the Gorilla, at something around 4cm.

Very helpful picture. Is the Troll +10%, Ork +5% number listed anywhere in the RAW? I'd always imagined them as being more like +10 and +20, but my imagination may be out of whack with RAW.

That software package definitely rocks.

I know they're not 400' tall lizards with nuclear breath, but that's about it.

Awesome stuff again, Fuchs. The Victoria Secret Fall 2070 line-up, although I find myself wanting to shout at the troll, "That ain't no secret, honey!" for whatever reason. (She reminds me of the Where the Wild Things Are, but in a good way.)

I'll ask, because I'm not familiar with DAZ, but how hard would it be to put them into full runner gear?

That's next on the program. It's not that hard, just a tad time consuming, and one needs the right ressources - aka clothes.

Now, in order to rule 34 something, do you actually have to search for and find content, or is it sufficient to speculate about the existence of such content since, having speculated about it, as per rule 34, it can now be safely assumed to exist?
Is rule 34ing the finding of content, or is it the compulsory existence of content which comes with simply thinking of it?
Stahlseele
i will now mention the fact that rule 34 has it's own page on teh intartswebs without mentioning the actual URL

Neither. Rule 34 is based on existence.

What does that mean? I'm referring specifically to the verb form of "Rule 34", as used by hyzmarca. I understand what the rule itself means, I'm wondering what, exactly, is the process of "Rule 34ing." Is the verb form the process of verifying a specific example?
Kagetenshi
The idea of "rule 34ing" something is paradoxical, except insofar as making something exist would force rule 34 to apply to it. Presumably hyzmarca is indicating that he has located or produced actual content demonstrating rule 34 with respect to the given item. It's a misleading phrase, but convenient.

Different perspective

The troll adept does not look that much bigger in those pics, though size stayed the same.
Tarantula
It'd help for perspective if the human (the only one we can relate to) wasn't crouched down in both pics.

Well, that's why I had posted the lineup before, where one can compare the sizes directly. This is to illustrate that trolls may look smaller than they are.
FrankTrollman
As far as I know, you "rule 34 something" when you search for internet porn of it and find it. A confirmation of a secret wish or an illucid fear. However, I know some people use "rule 34" to simply make the statement that there is probably porn of whatever is being discussed. Still other theories indicate that the Matrix is such that merely discussing the posibility of type of porn existing on the internet creates a resonance structure which assures that it already exists. In any case, there actually is porn of Godzilla on the internets, so any definition Rule 34 is, in this context correct.

I've always preferred less cartoony orks and trolls. The ork action figure was what I'd consider the low point. Which what I like about these character models, even if it is just because you didn't have time to dermal and pustule out the trolls.

Attractive trolls? Hell, why not? Not every troll in the world has to be futtbugly. Maybe some are hot, and maybe some are born futtbugly and get an assload of cosmetic surgery for their bat mitzvah present. My next character just might be a troll with the human-looking quality. "I'm ten feet tall, bulletproof and I make it look good, chula."
Whipstitch
Well, trolls aren't eligible for human looking since it's about passing rather than being pretty. The whole ten feet tall thing tends to tip people off. There's nothing saying that a troll can't have first impression and be slick enough to make sure most people won't care though.

one COULD Argue with a pretty small Giant(Northern Europe Troll Variant)[why does america not get any troll variants but europe gets them all? O.o]. They look pretty much just like REALLY big Humans O.o
Nu Tusks, no Horns, no Dermal Problems, symmetric face and eyes and natural skin/eye-colour and everything . .
Mercer
One could likewise argue that if a player can have pretty wide latitude in his or her character's appearance. A beautiful troll, a 7' tall human, a 5' tall ork; why bog down what is essentially a cosmetic/fluff/roleplaying decision?

Problem with those models is that the dwarf is a little grating. It's just a little person, which is fine for the gnome metavariant, but dwarves have shorter legs than humans and normal sized torsos.

This is one I've always used, but it is much less slick.
Fuchs
I did shorten the legs of the dwarves, by about 20% compared to human proportions.

Ditto. Bad linkage.
Meanwhile, these are excellent. Really, really great work, all around. I really don't mind the attractiveness of the Ork, Troll, and Dwarf; up against the mountains of other hideous illustrations we have it's nice to see the cosmetically modified end of the spectrum.

Superb work. I should make these into a GM screen. I won't, because I'm busy and lazy, but I should.
