Number 6, or the All Seeing, All Knowing Eye, as he is known to his friends enjoys traveling the mundane world, touching the minds of the mundane, helping various researchers find things. A lot of his time in the metaplanes he finds very boring. But dutifully he returns to take his turn as part of the cog of spiritual machinery, he knows it's important for him to make up the numbers. But now he can't go back, the codes that he uses to enter, the routines to return, no longer work. He's desperate to find the answer to let him get back and take his turn. Now that he's missed his duty, he realizes he needs to go home. Someone is plotting something bad.
He's not averse to possessing pretty much anyone, a common trick is to possess someone hurt or ill, making them better. However, when called upon by hermetics, he traditionally inhabits inanimate objects. One of his old favorites is an old human skull. In these modern days, he found anew trick of pretending to be the voice or ghost in the machine.

If we're not starting tomorrow, I would suspect soonish.
Now is probably a good time to note I'm more available for posting in evening times and later (life is just too hectic to guarantee earlier). Good thing for consistancy though.

Ok, combat time. I roll initiative and defenses to speed things up, but you roll everything else (except secret rolls, obviously). All the materialization spirits are materialized, while the possessing spirits are still in astral space. Your memory of the recent events are obscure. It appears you were just summoned and now people are directly attacking you.
Initiative:
Tattered Seraphim: 5
DireRadiant: 4.5
Trol: 4.3

My ruling about combat is simple. You have 24 hours to post something or you automatically go into Full Defense...
Oh, and by the way, how do you like the introduction? Don't worry, things will be cleared out after the combat.
Cold-Dragon
Sep 26 2006, 01:01 AM
Introduction was good to me. ^-^; My only hope is that that assault rifle is a 6p one, otherwise it might hurt. ^-^; Course, maybe if I look all cute and defenseless, I won't get shot!
I suspect I was knocked root over trunk with that banishing though.
- - Oh, by a day to post do you mean by persons turn, or for all in general? I'd have several days depending on those listed if it's one way, or else I would need to post later if nothing happens tonight.
Dentris
Sep 26 2006, 01:17 AM

Is there still time for me to possess either the head shot, or more likely the heart attack victim? I'm thinking if I can possess, I can regenerate and keep one alive.
If I can't keep either alive, then the head shot corpse is about to succumb to a case of inanimate possession....
[ Spoiler ]
dead body = 4 X 2 = 8 dice versus threshold of 1 or 2
6 2 3 2 1 3 6 2 = 2 hits
Alive body = 4 X 2 = 8 dice versus (Int + Wil) Opposed Test
5 3 3 4 3 2 2 4 = 1 hit, However, if I can do this, I may use Edge to reroll failures.

Convenient for keeping yourself a living vessel to walk around - no mind after its dead, no reason for a mind to come back if you revive the corpse via power. "You could live your new life as <insert guards name here>!

Sep 26 2006, 02:54 AM
Can we go ahead and post our actions if we know what we want them to be, and then resolve them in order? OR should we wait to see how things play out in the few seconds before the action itself?
Also, can we post about how we materialize around the shadowrunners? or are we near the flash of light off in the distance? Range is likely to become important as soon as the mortals turn their weaponry on us.

I haven't kept track, but if anyone else is possessing, with my Regeneration and body swapping, we can get quite a view mindless almost living vessels.

Right, Hecate's casting mob control on the group about to attack them. Her command is to 'stop what you're doing, don't move!'
Just to check, I'm rolling magic 4 and spellcasting 1 to cast it?
Right, here goes:
Rolls: 6, 5, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1 = 3 hits.
Resisting drain:
Rolls: 6, 6, 5, 1 = 3 hits

I think its a complex action to go either way... but I'm not sure.
I think the GM said the materializers are all materialized... and the possessors are all astral.

I think that Hecate's standing in front of the other spirits. I think it's a line of sight spell, and she's focusing on the people in the shadows.

I sitll think combat would move faster if everyone posted what they wanted to do at once, and we sort it out in initiative order. We could probalby have our side of this first round resolved by the end of the day.

I have no problem with metagaming, it's just that there needs to be the vaguest hint of IC justification for the fact you know who I am, what's happening, and that you feel free to speak for all of us. Otherwise the explanation IC might be because this is all your fault! You are responsible, that's how you know everything!

I think your spellcasting ranks are = to your force, just like your magic, and pretty much every other stat except edge (or physical stats while materialized). Check with GM for sure.
I'm on deck. Ready to post either after the NPC troll goes ahead of him if I get the greenlight to chronomancy.

Not to beat a dead horse, but Dentris did say "It appears you were just summoned"... so saying that you were not summoned would really be more of a con than a negotiation - since it would appear that you were.
EDIT: Also, say that in one-second.
Cause that's how much time passes before they start kicking our asses and diplomacy is out the window.

Ok, sorry about the delay...I teach grade 3 children during the day.
For actions: you can post your actions beforehand in the OoC section, but it is possible the battle changes before your turn comes, so you may be unable to change it afterwards (if i post your actions before you change it). You are invited to do so if you want, though it is not mandatory.
Tattered Seraphim: The orc scored no hit on his resistance test, the troll scored 4 hits and the elf scored 4 hits.
Dire Radiant: As you enter the astral form of Ferlown's dead body, you slowly feel the physical world around you. Within a second, you gained the complete control of your vessel.
The troll attack Hecate with his bare hands...scored 4 hits. Hecate rolled 2 hits. The total unarmed damage of the troll is 9 physical...(damned troll physical adepts
). Hecate managed to soak 1 of them, for a total of 8 boxes

Okay i roll 12 dice for my exotic ranged weapon - 3 for shooting into melee
6, 6, 5, 5, 5, 4, 3, 6, 3
Hooray for me that was a good shot 6 hits!
Thats base power 5p(fire) plus any net sucesses after dodge (he's at -3 for dodging while in melee).
