Yeah, it was cumbersome to write "Physical Condition Monitor Boxes" out, so I just truncated it.

I believe it...anything you would change to my second posting of the Doctor to make it in line with the desired format? Except adding a dec on the talismonger...which I'm too tired to do right now...

Unsound has the final call on that but it looks alright to me.

Who wants The Doctor on their run? wink.gif I think dahlia needs a mage right?
AStarshipforAnts
We do need a mage over there. We've got a lot of muscle and not too much else. wobble.gif

This game interests me and I like to join in. I haven't finished up reading all the IC, but soon I'll be done with that too. I'll post the sheet soon as I gather up info of what's going on in the game. See you all soon. smile.gif

Hiya, I was wondering if your team would like the services of a combat doctor. Triage is his name, and solving all your medical needs is his game. Everything from toxins, pathogens, battle wounds, plastic surgeries, cyberimplants, cybertech repair, and more! Sorry if I'm sounding like a commercial. His basic concept is a once well respected doctor who worked on many rich clientele until one day a Yakuza boss brought his daughter to him and wanted him to perform a relatively simple surgery on her. Sadly, due to an unknown condition the girl had, she died on the table. After that, Triage's rep was ruined by the yaks and he barely managed to escape with his life. Five years later, he's working the streets and is the ShadowDoc on call.
Grimm
Stat him up and throw him in man. Unsound will need to approve it but this game always takes people as we are hypothetically supposed to have multiple storylines running.
Atomic Communist
Well, I shall submit him indeed! I have him on Myth-Weavers sheet storage thingy, so it's not formatted as a text block. If I need to do that, I can, but here's the link: Triage, Street Doc of the Stars! http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=236271

Edit: Woops, I just realized he uses some house rules from another campaign I submitted him to. I could fix him, or make something else. What's really needed currently?
Grimm
We currently have a bunch of Street Sam oriented characters. But really it doesn't matter, pick what will interest you for awhile. And there is a template that unsound wants us to use for character submissions. Lemme find it for you. I'll edit the link into this post.

Thanks, Grimm. smile.gif The FAQ in the database thread has been edited to include the character template to make it easier to find. Any existing player who has some spare time and wants to lighten Abschalten's work load, feel free to convert your character to the template and send it to him.

Edit: As of this posting, he's completed Scar's sheet, so no need to do the same work twice there!

Woohoo. Hooray for moar laziness.

The most brutal and time-consuming aspect is going over all that gear. I have to price tag all of it and then add it up.

Scar's sheet didn't have much gear on it. PURELY BY COINCIDENCE, his was also the one I got done with first. wink.gif

Abs, do you have DamienKnight's spreadsheet? It oughta help with the resource calculations.

Weekly awards posted.

Also, important news: I'm contemplating a story thread for this game that will eventually pit players against each other, which may lead to character death. I understand that while some people relish the unique challenge that only PvP can bring, others do not find it to be their cup of tea. This game uses all rules as written in the book, including the burning of Edge to survive otherwise lethal encounters, so death is not permanent as long as you have Edge to burn.

This is what I will need from all of you: a declaration of whether to toggle your PvP flag on or off. If you have it off, it will be a signal to GMs that you wish to be excluded from all scenarios that involve a player-versus-player encounter. If you have it on, you're fair game for all such scenarios. If you turn on your PvP flag, you are expected to follow all standards of the code of honor intrinsic in such matters - for example, you should be able to separate player knowledge from character knowledge and not take advantage of information that you read in the IC thread that your character would not be privy to. Each character will have their own PvP flag status, which means if you're playing multiple characters, you can turn it on for some and leave it off for others.

Edit: Actually, for all undeclared individuals, including new players, I'm going to set the default status of the PvP flag to off. If you wish to turn yours on, please contact me in this thread or via PM.
AStarshipforAnts
Go ahead and toggle my PvP Flag Off.
Grimm
Set mine to off as well. I understand you're going for some realistic interaction here but all it is going to take is one munchkin'd character to fuck up the game for other players, even with a choice to opt in. And personally, I don't know the rules well enough to participate against people that have been playing awhile.
Atomic Communist
You know I've wondered why Adepts get free points towards their abilities whereas Technomancers have to spend BP on complex forms. I'm sure there's a great reason why, I just don't see it. I hate spending a lot of my BP on programs nyahnyah.gif
Atomic Communist
Here's my character, Red the Technoshaman:

[ Spoiler ]
Suicidal Street Sam
I don't mind Seti being toggled On, but Grimm's point about munchkin'd characters bites a little true. So let's say, On with the condition that he's only thrown against characters he might have a chance against.
Abschalten
@Atomic Communist

I was going to reply to you in PMs but you're on Probation and can't use it yet. So I'm going to put what I was going to say to you here.

You've spent too many points on your mental and physical attributes. They're adding up to 210 for Phys/Ment attributes. You can only spend 200.

You also overcharged yourself on special attributes. 2 Edge for a human costs 0. 5 Resonance costs 40 BP, since the first point is free.

So you've really only spent 250 points so far. But still, you are over 10. You could take a point from Body and move it into Edge, maybe. Or just drop it altogether.

And why are you taking the technomancer quality for free? You've really only got an extra 5 BP, not 10 BP.

If you really had taken 260 points of attributes you'd be over 5 points. Right now you are under 5 points.

As my character is more maxmin than minmax, I agree with SSS.

But I am willing to be toggled PVP on as soon as she's approved, hint, hint! And just to show how keen I am, I updated the correctly templated version to include mentor spirit and BP costs!

Request for Unsound: Really enjoying the IC thread but having trouble keeping up with all the posts...is there any chance that the database could contain a list of story arcs, who is the GM and who is on them and perhaps a recruitment list too for those as yet without work and archetypes wanted?!? For example Silk needs a hacker or TM and whislt Abs looks like he'll provide an NPC to keep the story moving it would be great to have another player on our B&E job smile.gif I'd also like to try my hand at GMing a scene or two as Emerging has gone quiet but have no idea who would like a scene writing for them...

Thanks

Notsoevildm: You can start posting in the IC thread whenever you want. smile.gif

Aria: Great points! Lemme stew on that a bit to figure out the optimal solution. For now, just use this thread to pick up players for your story threads. I think we've got a couple of new recruits who aren't up to anything.

Woot! I have an idea for a big introductory post. Will try to get it posted up tonight (or tomorrow).
Atomic Communist
Agh, I'm so stupid! I wrote down Technoshaman, because it's one of the technomancer's streams that you can choose for free. I just completely forgot that Technomancer it's self is a 5 BP quality. Thank you for the tips. It's been quite a while since I made a character. I'll fix it and edit the original posting.

Edit: There, fixed. I dropped my body down and put it into edge, then bought the technomancer quality, and spent the remaining 5 BP on increasing my complex forms.
unsound
By the way, no one has to get my approval to start posting in the IC thread. You don't even need a character, you can just jump in and GM for people whenever you want. So if you've submitted a sheet and I haven't uploaded it to the database yet, you can still start playing. smile.gif

Ok...so is there a TM / hacker out there (even if not statted up yet...) who wants in on Abs 'steal a maglock' run? Silk could probably manufacture a reason to need someone else too if there's interest?

Is there anyone who wants a scene or two or even a whole run GMing for them?

Looking forward to hearing from you all smile.gif

I'm just getting Copperhead up and running. But she's a mage, so not much help on your 'steal a maglock' run unless you need magical support, or healing.

I would certainly appreciate having a GM for a scene or two (or even a whole run). My initial post left her wondering what happened to her boyfriend, Cutter, an ork street sam. I was planning to do another scene where he finally turns up, a bit shot/beaten up and she heals him up. However, an interested GM could get me involved in the getting attacked part (or anything else a devious GM might come up with).
Suicidal Street Sam
Only character even like that so far (that I know of) is Doc Chase, and he's taking his sweet time.

Grimm is doing a scene/plotline for my character and were looking for additional player(s). My troll could use some company if you're interested. Copperhead and The Beast would be a funny couple of freakish-looking trolls. biggrin.gif

Oh yeah, that sounds like a plan. After all, us trogs gotta stick together. And it's always nice to have a big meat shield to hide behind, especially one that the bullets simply bounce of off.

If nothing else we'll freak out the rest of Seattle. Options for an in would be Cutter finally getting back to the squat or calling me with news of a possible job, or I could hear of a possible job through my talismonger Lenny.

TheDoctor
...and have we lost AStarshipforAnts?

Also, my vacation starts Friday morning and goes to the 13th. I will not have access to email.

Here are The Doctor's thoughts if I don't get to write them out...

He will join Dahlia's team (for now).

He will recommend tailing the marks to see if they have a routine where they can be easily grabbed. (I watch too much Burn Notice biggrin.gif)
Doc Chase
ASFA started school this week; I'll leave a reminder that the thread's still here. nyahnyah.gif

Let's do the TIIME WAAARP again. Thanks for pulling me in Grimm but I've just gone back 3 days in time. I'll adapt my initial post to fit and write up a new one tonight that gets me on my way to the location.

As for my indepth knowledge of 4E, it's probably about as good as yours. I have played (and GMed) a lot of SR, particularly 3E so am reasonably familiar with the setting, just about 10 years out of date.

EDIT: Temporal flux corrected. Time streams back to normal. Wait, that should be the Doctor's line. wink.gif

Aria's correct, Silk needs a hacker or a TM on her run. If you're down for getting into the fun, we can arrange it. smile.gif

More as an exercise with the magic rules (as I am not very familiar with them), Copper will try and summon an air spirit to get to the warehouse quicker:

Summoning roll for Force 3 air spirit: summoning 2 + magic 3 = 5d6.hits(5)=0
Force 3 spirit opposed test: 3d6.hits(5)=1
Resist drain: 2 x spirit's total hits = 2S: willpower 5 + charisma 3 = 8d6.hits(5)=2

No spirit answers, but no drain taken. Looks like she has to hoof it:

Running test, defaulting to strength: 4d6.hits(5)=0 - hope this means I get some good rolls later!

No successes. Fatigue rules say you can jog for (body+hits)x2 minutes before taking 1 point of stun damage (fatigue), so Copper can jog for about 12 minutes before taking any. Means she would arrive with a box or two of stun but should get there a bit faster.

[15:37 January 1st, 2072; Ravenna Park, Downtown Seattle]
He-Who-Sees-Within nodded to Silk and gave her a polite smile. "Indeed. There's a sort of coffee shop turned jazz lounge not a couple of blocks from here, called Common Grounds. It has a pleasant, ah... flavor in astral space that I enjoy being around. Many young, bohemian-style hipsters and college kids go there to recite poetry on open mic night, or just chill out. It's probably my favorite place to relax. We could go there. There's a booth all the way in the back where we'd have the privacy to discuss our business arrangements. And, I'll buy of course."

((Make an Intuition+Charisma roll))

Get yourself a character concept, stat him or her up and start posting...looks like we don't even need formal approval of a character to start the ball rolling...

The 2072 database on Unsound's sig has a list of the current characters for reference smile.gif

Enjoy!

@Grimm: Copperhead's moderate allergy to sunlight is a nasty -4 dice to tests, so she is sticking to the shadows as much as possible to avoid taking any penalties.

Trying to sneak up on Akecheta: Agility (3) + Infiltration (2) = 5d6.hits(5)=0 LOL, Aka's not the only one that can't sneak! I think Invisible Castle is out to get me.

I'm not really sure how to start IC. Do I just post what my character is currently doing? I'm not just gonna pop into someone elses game, that would be rude! nyahnyah.gif
