It's a tie between Rainbow Dash and Luna for me <.<

Princess Luna is clearly the bestpony.

I mean, it's impossible to choose between the Mane 6, or even between Cutie Mark Crusaders, but Luna is easily the most stand-out for me.

I was just thinking this as I read through the thread. Certainly makes for entertaining reading, even if you don't enjoy the show like the participants do.

Given my current internet situation (A wii and a 3ds, yeah I know) watching all of those links will be a pain, I'll keep it in mind...

You may not be a child of the late 80s/early 90s ... but did anyone else see that care bear movie where the kid gets addicted to the evil book? That movie was downright twisted! It had its moments.

RD is cute in that she's the punky, adventurous pony everyone thinks would be awesome to hang out with. But she's rough, even with her friends, and if I had to deal with her for more than twenty minutes a week, her giant ego would start to grate.

If you're accepting all the fan material, I'd have to say Luna is the most intriguing character; cast out by her own sister, mistress of the darkness, dreams, and secrets, now a serious contender for the throne and a threat to Celestia's rule with an iron hoof.

I also really liked the video of Pinkie Pie and her friend/sister Blueberry. That lent a tremendous depth to the character, and in my mind, it is canon! More canon than whatever hormonal deficiency 'stock' Pinkie suffers from.

Oh, I do read fanfic, but only after the work is at least a second draft. I do copy-editing professionally, so if the document hasn't been cleaned up, I feel a driving compulsion to red-line them all, and it spoils my enjoyment of the story. Someone also did an Eclipse Phase MLP fanfic, which I"ll check out.

I grew up with the horrible sequel Nezumi, the one where a ginger is evil incarnate.

So it's based on a true story? I'm fairly certain that "evil incarnate" applies to all those soulless bastards.

My favorite depiction of Luna is Gamer!Luna from Ask Princess Molestia (and Gamer!Luna), but obviously, I'm not willing to throw Xboxes and computers into Equestria. But, it also establishes that Gamer!Luna isn't just fond of video games, but other sports and games as well. So I figured it was a good way to get some of that into her, to humanize - or, well, ponyize - her some more, move away from the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE Luna. Show that she's started to grow, become more normal by the standards of Twilight Sparkle's era.

Plus, of course, pegasi and alicorns playing football in three dimensions.

Yah. Gamer-Luna is best Luna! ^^

Especially Gamer!Luna and her friendship with Derpy Hooves.

For instance, as wonderfully illustrated here. Derpy is (for now,) living inside the Christmas tree in Canterlot Castle (it's a big tree) and Luna went to visit her, and d'aaaaaaaaaaaawh.

Stuff like this makes me question your motives of liking the show, interesting engaging narrative neh?

I enjoy musical theater. It's a fantastic way to pick up chicks. No really. There's this weird stereotype that all men that are into musical theater are gay. Expressing that you are not is like some weird ass superpheromone that women find irresistable.
