Nevertheless, I don't know if it's a typo or if the spirit description was moved to the conjuring chapiter...

Not actual rule/spelling error but the last two huge horizontal scenery images of the PDF is really messing up some PDF readers like Preview in OS X.
This makes all other pages to scale down to really tiny size. I can naturally zoom in but that is just dump. Documents like these really should pick a page size and stick to it. Putting different sized pages is really bad layout decision unless you want to piss off your reader. Some PDF-readers will get around this but not all. I was able to remove the last pages with PDF editor program which is really the only way to fix the PDF.
Please fix the layout issue. Remove the last pages (and publish them separately) or at least rotate them and choose the same width as the other pages.

As mentioned in the other thread, our best guess is this is some sort of formatting error, an earlier version being released on accident, etc, etc. I've emailed and PM'ed folks about the problems with this DTRPG pdf, to let 'em know, and I'm sure once folks wake up some kind of ball will start rollin'. I let 'em know about the images in the back and the bookmarks thing.
Our layout guy loves doing layout too much, I can't imagine a non-bookmarked copy being our "final," y'know? Several of the reviewers commented about how nice the bookmarks were on their pdf copies, so this just has to be some kind of screw-up. It'll get fixed.

I'm sure you guys are doing your best and so is the layout guy. These things happen (I should know, I write a lot of stuff). Great layout otherwise. The last pages are an issue and I second the PDF TOC as well. They are really handy.

The first says one free specialization per skill at Character Creation (which at character creation helps a new character survive and helps define the character better.)
Page 129 Skill Types
New characters may only take one specialization per
skill at character creation (Creating a Shadowrunner,
p. 62), but you can buy more later. If you want a spe-
cialization in a skill, you have to have it first (meaning a
Rating of at least 1). Specializations are not allowed for
skill groups.

they don't decide which version to release do they?
they release what they get from CGL.
so if this is the wrong version, somebody gave them that.
Yes, actually, in this case DTRPG not only decided which version to release, but released it ahead of schedule. You're free to believe what you want (and I don't doubt that you'll default to "not the CGL guys"), but from everything I've been told, what happened was a slip-up on the DTRPG side of things. It's not the end of the world, and I'm not gonna say stuff like "those DTRPG guys can't find their own assholes" and stuff like that, but...yeah. That's what happened.

The Sample Decker (page 121) has no Matrix Initiative listed.
On page 414, regarding Addiction Tests, the book states:
QUOTE
Every time you use an addictive substance during (11-Addiction rating) weeks in a row, you need to make an Addiction test...substances with high Addiction ratings (like Kamikaze) could get you hooked in a single dose
The problem is that Kamikaze has an addition rating of 9, and 11-9=2. So you'd have to use Kamikaze at least twice (once per week, two weeks in a row) in order to even get to the point where you'd make an Addiction test, let alone fail one.

uncertain if this is needed or not:
page 105 mentions that you cannot train a mental attribute or physical skill at the same time as recovering from an augmentation that boosts it. no mention is made of physical attributes or mental skills, and other text would lead me to believe that the intention is that you cannot use that downtime for anything.
(in particular, "That downtime is used solely for
recovery from the augmentation implanting process and
for getting used to their body’s new modifications.")
edit: also on page 106, under the example for character advancement (James),
"will cost 15 Karma, which he has It normally" (i'm pretty sure there should be a period between "has" and "It").
also looking back, James has in his backstory that one of his goals is to rise above low lifestyle (end of second-to-last paragraph). this should be fairly easy to accomplish, since the low lifestyle he bought is just his safe house, and he actually has a middle lifestyle as his main lifestyle.
edit again: page 116, the combat mage is leaving scorched marks. usually that would just be scorch marks.
and again: page 128 under knowledge skills: "...begins the game with free Knowledge skills
points based on..." (usually would be skill points, not skills points).
and now, i'm calling it a night. i'll probably have some more for you later.

A few quality costs:
Cost: 4 Karma per rating (max 6)
Cost: 7 Karma per rating (max rating 3)
Cost: 8 Karma per level (Max 3)
Stick with either "rating" or "level" and consistently use "max rating/level" to avoid questions whether the maximum is Karma or level/rating.

Let's talk about sprites:
When a sprite is compiled, its own Overwatch Score starts, even though it hasn’t had a chance to do anything illegal (p. 254)
Starts at what?
The Matrix doesn’t know what to make of sprites, so they show up as illegal activity. This puts a limit on the time you can keep a sprite around before GOD finds it and crashes it. (p. 254)
But no actual rules to follow up on that. So I guess this means just the regular 2D6 increase every 15 minutes? But why mention it once more then?
These two items should just be folded into a single explanation like "The Matrix doesn’t know what to make of sprites, so they show up as illegal activity. When a sprite is compiled, its own Overwatch Score starts at zero but increases as usual by 2D6 every 15 minutes (see page xxx). When GOD converges..."
If you use the sprite’s last task to do this, don’t screw up. If you succeed, add your net hits to the number of tasks the sprite owes you (minus the one for re-registering, of course). If you fail, you’re out of tasks, plain and simple.
So what if I don't use the last task? Do I forfeit all remaining tasks in case of failure?
And solving the question how Machine Sprites interact with devices by removing all their options to interact with devices (except for "control device", which every sprite can do) is really a lazy way out...

given the heading and the fact that making a climbing test shouldn't generally halt your progress in climbing, i'm guessing that you meant glitch, not test.
