Han figures that a successful attack on the Azzie pyramid would establish the group as legitimate runners in Seattle. Considering the wealth and power of the group, Han can only imagine two kinds of runs that would be acceptable to the group: those offering
lots of compensation, and those providing personal satisfaction. The first, best source of personal satisfaction would be runs against Aztechnology. He envisions the first run as a kind of
counting coup to build street cred.
Swoop reminds Han of a third type of acceptable mission, a mission that increases the power of the group. We call ourselves
"The Pursuit of Power". That is more than just words for some of us. Swoop also mentions that
"Knowledge is Power", and sometimes that power is in
"Who you Know".
Han thinks about that for a while. He realizes that a favor owed can be worth more than money, and could be considered
"lots of compensation". He decides he needs to identify the power brokers of Seattle, and get on their good side. He also needs to identify the
"knowledge" in demand.
Hacking into the Aztechnology Pyramid, and stealing some paydata could be a start. Planting an agent is another idea. Han figures that the best data is probably on secure systems - hard-wired networks, or even stand-alone systems; but he has to start somewhere. Maybe something on an accessible system will provide clues on how to locate secure systems. It could something as simple as a floor layout, or phone directory.
Han decides to probe the main switchboard of the Aztechnology Pyramid, and see where that gets him.
OOC: Extended Hacking + Exploit Test: 10 dice: Successes = 3, 3, 4, 1, 2, 4, 5, 5, 5, 4. The maximum 10 rolls for a 10 dice pool yields 36 successes. You pick the threshold. If Han fails to crack the system, he'll try again later using "hot sim" instead of "cold sim" for 2 extra dice.
Han has, Armor, Biofeedback filter, Decrypt, Exploit, Spoof, and Stealth (all rating 6) installed for the break-in.
