Sure we can FF. Next day will be fine. Got to have Tank make a few calls then. After that, I think I'll be ready for a bump to the opera.
Here is Tank's social roll to lock down an escort for the evening. No modifiers applied.
Charisma(3) + Etiquette(2) + Imp Etiquette(1) + Kinesics(2)
[5,1,3,6,5,3,2,1] = 3 hits

Despite his best charms, Tank, is only able to find a rather air-headed brunette to be his guest.
You can add the details that you like.

Sorry about the lowered post rate. I got a new boss and for the foreseeable future I will have an increased responsibility in the day-to-day management of my team. I'll be able to keep up at least 1/week and will try for more frequent posting.

Oh hey.. Here is the description for
Bolo[ Spoiler ]
Bolo Swaniza [R2/L3] Talismonger
Bolo is of Puerto Rican decent and moved to the CAS to seek a better life. She has done pretty well as a talismonger
and has a run down little shop called "Moon and Stars". She is a Mystic Adept, but has only the gift of sight having a
weak magic attribute. She trades books with Eric and they are acquaintances.

Go ahead and tie-up any loose ends and I'll roll out the next challenge.

I needed a post to give Dalton some character. We now return to a slightly more dystopian channel.

At this point I am good to ff to either the next planned event or to the parking lot, whichever comes first.

Tank:
[3,6,5,5,6,1,3,6,2,2] = 5 hits
Book:

Assuming the perception test is visual

May 26 2008, 06:25 AM
All of the cues were visual and ... wow. That five is nice. Here is the reward:
1. One of the officers near the stage is taking a cut of the drug sales.
2. The other is scoring a few small packages that appear to contain chips.
3. There is a third member of the security detail that is wearing plainclothes - a troll off to the side.
4. System Error is uncomfortable in Digger's office.
5. Lieutenant Johnson is carrying a pistol.
"Today" IC is Monday night.

Not a problem. Take your time for a good post.

As to STOMP!, I have wanted to see that but never had an opportunity. Monday was my anniversary. I had to teach in the evening so I took my wife for a nice lunch to one of our favorite local restaurants and then for a mocha at a local coffee house. She was surprised and it was a nice hour.

Dalton resisting his addiction:
- Day #1:
[3,4,1,3,3,4,4] = 0 hits
- Day #2:
[2,5,1,2,6,3,1] = 2 hits
Book social interaction:
- Day #1:
[2,3,4,4,2,1] = 0 hits

If you have a moment to input some specifics for that last roll that would be cool.

I completely understand about RL. I have spent 55% of my time on a project and have only finished about 40% of it. Thankfully, extra innings are allowed as the project is for legal compliance.

Ok, Tank picks up on the following. Book, not so much.
Dick's is really a meat packing plant but that's not all that it is. The Captain, and he does mean a Captain, is also operating other things out of the back. He is running prostitution - if not outright slavery - in the back along with smuggling, most likely drugs. Additionally, there is money laundering and racketeering as well. He really doesn't know which Captain with the Star.
If you feel that I missed something, let me know.
Any other questions?
Redjack
Jun 28 2008, 11:25 PM
The duo will delay a few minutes in order to try and figure out what is up. Next step is for a drive by on the meat packing plant. Get the lay of the land. Determine what buildings are nearby, where they might do a little stake out from.

Book's Perception Test:

No, she's not into SR for some reason.
She does like DnD though - says it's easier.
-----
On to the results:
Book only recognizes one of the entrants - Antonio Bonosoro, a low level in the Don's circle. His muscle goes by the name of Hendricks, who is playing a game with someone else. He recalls a good level of detail on the rest and will be able to remember them if need be.
Tank knows all but one. Each is a member of Tommy's crew. Micheal "Little Mikey" O'Mally - the big guy, Thomas "Thumbs" O'Grady - a specialist in demolitions, Ian "Boom Boom" Ryan - a former boxer, and Sylvia "The Knockout" - specializing in embarassing politicians: no one knows her last name.
One of the muscles is playing a game near the front door - Flannegin? - with the muscle for the guy he doesn't know.

Oh.. You did advise her that causes cancer.. right? (Or are you just waiting for the big insurance payout?)

-------
As stated in IC, they want to get away from this block but within signal range of the drone. Once they find a spot to sit, Tank will look to the drone. Time to see if the building is really unoccupied. Book is astrally projecting to get a feel for mage defenses and probes in the area.

She knows about the "d20 cancer" but doesn't care.

I'm off for the next several days - vacation is great! We're not going anywhere, just taking some time off to enjoy the 4th and to take the kids to the zoo.
IC post is up.
Have Book roll Perception.
I assume that Tank was aiming for the back awning? If not, let me know.

We recently started playing Serenity. Not concerned too much about the rules, more the story. Its got a simple system where the results are more subjective than exacting (so it seems).
We're shooting off fireworks tomorrow night. My buddy ran a stand this year..

Sound like fun. We are about to head over to a friend's place to watch the city fireworks. Utah is pretty strict on what they let "normal people" use.

RE: IC
The "grandmas" are working on the buildings next to Dick's.
The "cowboy" was supervising the unloading and is different from the guy with the smile plastered on his face.
Recap:
The cowboy is supervising the unloading of the cows.
The ork - same one who was firing bolts into the cattle - unloaded the cows.
There was a smiling human who left the back of the building.
There was a smiling troll that left the back of the building.
The short, balding man walked out and greeted the cowboy.
So, there are a total of five people, three humans, a troll and the ork who is working.
Sorry about the confusion.
Redjack
Jul 6 2008, 05:31 PM
What is the building next to the meat packing plant that the grandmas are cleaning? Would that be housing units? And what is the building on the other side of the street?
Would it be possible to get a simple graphic of the block? One done in paint or photoshop will be fine.
I just need to know the plant, the building on either side (if there is one). The buildings across the street and behind the plant. Parking areas, streets and doors into the plant.
