Dood, that's why I put national in big bold letters. They mentioned that earlier the national police were looking into the local cops. If Johnson picks the police route, than national would force a fait accompli on the bad guys - either get an investigation or force the perps underground.

This may be a thing for common knowledge - PCC policies, but I'm imagining in my head that any corpsec force would have to notify the police for a 'hot pursuit' type thing. However, if they do so hastily, the police will have to scramble for an escort, which will probably be the national station agent, some QRF, and bulk local. But local can't do anything with national and a third party watching, which is really important.

Also why I had the alarm rerouted to call the corpsec police. My failsafe if the shit went down here was to spring the fire alarm and force a federal response, and use the chaos of 96 screaming kids to deter the bad guys.

Edit - on the other hand, delay notification till challenged could work as well. Depends on the situation, which is probably beyond common knowledge for the characters.

Exactly. I have realized that second guessing protocol in Fisty's World is just another way of expressing "assume".

So there are only seven boys in the room?

And what about the results of the cross reference?

There are about 70 children on the level. 7 of them are tagged and magically active. Cross referencing, 5 of them come up as children Nix has found on his "missing" list.

Caliph will be outside, preparing the PZ (consolidating the stuff, waiting for the call to guide the banshee in, conducting external security, etc.). He left on the assumption that Nix would handle getting the kids ready for extraction. He's prepared to come back in if Nix needs help roping the kids in.

9 minutes mark - teens coming down the stairs. Figure they are fully withdrawn within a minute or two. Wait with Jonus on the steps till the 4 minute ETA, then start collecting the other children. Once collected, we will move downstairs. I assume the flight may be late, we will wait downstairs till Caliph has eyes on it. Obviously, if stuff starts happening or start going out of control, I would like the opportunity to adapt and improvise.

There'll be some "End of Run" Karma if/when Jonus makes it home safe, including 1 point of karma for every month Real Time we've ran this game (currently 18 IIRC).

Wanted to double check and make sure : Are both of you updating the char sheets that are shown in the Cast of Shadows at the top of the Welcome to the Shadows page? That's what I'm using to reference a few things off of, and I wanted to double check that stats and gear are up to date.

Rob - you asked Dances to ull a favor w/ Air traffic, he asked what the favor was, then comms went crappy. You haven't responded to him yet on that specific question.

Short version - what commo options does caliph think are available to him?

What I'd like to do is transmit to dances on clouds that we need him to pull an emergency airspace clearance for this vehicle. Otherwise, I'd like to tell him to meet us near his house. If that means we have to land, drop off, and retransmit from ground, then we'll do that.

Common sense check - commo went crappy, reset commlinks. I am assuming that even if we reset, the pipe we're talking on is compromised, since there would be no way to do a comsec changeover (since we both have dissimilar crypto). So, if I reset my commlink, will we have to transmit to Dances in the clear?

If your 'link has been compromised, that likely means that your encryption has been hacked as well, unless you were just getting out and out crashed hard core. So unless you have a second, seperate encryption program, and can somehow send it to Dances so that you're "speaking the same language", anything you send with the old key would likely be considered tainted/vulnerable.

OK, we've got our place, we're moving in Saturday. That means that I will be without direct internet for probably about a week. So if I dissapear for a bit, that's why. But I'm already getting to work on getting internet. Just bear with me.

From my end, it's been damn nice to ignore the office phone and the office PC for two days now. (Don't ask why it wasn't four days..)

While Nix would love to put down this entire magical network, he's not stupid enough to think he's capable. That means in typical shadowrunner fashion, in his mind its about time to cut-n-run. Need a few weeks till the next run though.

IC, Caliph will want some between time as well. He intends to keep tabs on these blood of the people cats (mostly because of that cool shiny multimillion dollar bounty).

Maybe we can start a thread and play out some of the between game stuff, while we plan the next?
