The Challenge1 Hit[ Spoiler ]
The Challenge at it's most basic level allows a challenger to challange an action, or statement of another. This may be something as simple as "I'm a better accountant than you are" to "You slept with my wife". The means of the challenge generally is appropraite to the debate in question (i.e. - Accounants may havea three month challenge to see who can save the same client more money within that time period.)

The Challenge must be from a proper conflict and for good reason. Calling an improper Challenge can result in loss of face. Most Challenges are for position, and the person losing must step down, to be replaced by the challenger. Hence the reason it is the most common. Challenges are a matter or honor, and taken very seriously.
3-4 Hits[ Spoiler ]
In the event of a loss, the challenged is expected to abide by the challenge. Refusing to do so is considered dishonorable, more so than losing the Challenge. Losing in and of it's self is not dishonorable, as the challenged (or challenger) abided by the code of the Challenge. The resulting status change is it's own punishment. The Challenge and winning or losing is often nebulous, as there is no clear cut Win/Lose. Rather, the challengers peers are the defacto judges of the outcome. This can result in a bias among groups with strong leanings towards one side or the other, although the sense of honor usually keeps it fair.
Road Rage1 Hit[ Spoiler ]
Two riders go at it, in a series of head to head attacks, with melee weapons only. The Challenge may be to first blood, to the death (which is often the same thing), or until one cannot continue.
2 Hits[ Spoiler ]
Road Rage is considered a more prestigious and impressive challenge. It is immediate and requires an audience, and also requires great skill on the part of both participants. It either makes a great challenge among very skilled and dangerous combatants, or, more often, between very uneven Challengers, one of which is looking for a quick kill. Either way, it's impressive to watch.

The rules state that each ridre must start one hundred meters away from each other, meet approxiamelty in the middle , eachange blows, and ride past. Each rider is required to return to their starting point, turn, and come back. After the initial starting point, the challengers are no longer required to wait for the other to prepare, meaning that anywhere in the 100 meter area can become a killing ground as the Ancients cross back and forth. This can also lead to riders with faster bikes having a decided edge, as they may be returning while their opponent may still be building speed.
4 Hits[ Spoiler ]
It's commonly known that no projectile weapons (guns, etc) of any sort are allowed, including cyber guns. Any other type of cyber is permitted , including spurs, hand razors, or god forbid, oral lashers, as long as the rider stays on his bike. Active weapon foci are forbidden. Dismounting a rider does not automatically defeat them, although the fall at such high speeds will most likely suffice.
5 Hits[ Spoiler ]
If a rider is dismounted, the other must continue past, but is under no obligation to wait for them to remount before they continue their attack. Purposefully dismounting, including in the case of a damaged bike, is an automatic loss. Adept powers are just as permissable as cyber.
