OK, up and running, all good to go. It was hardware stuff over here. Had to run new lines through the attic, blah blah blah.

OK, ruling on the Knockdown for Tain - Knockdown rules are for if you take boxes of damaged equal to your body, it requires a knock down test.

Tain's damage is reduced from 9 boxes to 6 w/ soaking. Trauma Dampener brings that down to 5, which is still equal to his body, so that still falls within KNockdown realm (pg 151-152 SR4).

Taking into account that it's a monowhip, not something known for it's mass, and that he does just barely qualify for knock down, we'll go with this:
Knockdown Test- Roll Body+ Balance Augment Rating : Threshold (2). Feel free to use Edge

Looks like Tain's insane strip down worked out fairly well for him. Hey, Fist, I was thinking about what would have happened had Haven been the one to fight Vixen- besides me getting my ass handed to me because I'm way more guns and bombs focused than I am melee- would it have been permitted to use a stun baton and if so would they get pissed if you stunned the bike and made them crash that way?

I'd considered stun weapons. I don't see why not. Electricity is certainly no worst than getting hit with a mono weapon. Same for bikes .I'd considered having her go for Tain's ride, but really, a monowhip doens't seem the type of weapon to use on a bike. If she'd been using something else perhaps.

If I wasn't berserk, I'd have totally been fucking up her ride, for the record. As it was, it just seemed more in character to ride the frenzy and stay single-mindedly focused on her.

One of my mantras in a Western game back in college was "You don't have to shoot the rider, you've just got to kill the horse." My lawman, "Buckshot" William Travis, became known for keeping bandits off stage-coaches by doing a number on their horses. I figure the same logic works with monoswords and motorcycles.

Heh, if I ever have to fight bike-to-bike and it ISN'T an honor challenge... well, someone is getting an EMP grenade or dynamite or something up the tail pipe. Once the game really gets moving and I have some cash and maybe a little time I'm going to create some chemical adhesive and some circular charges pre-designed to direct the force inward. Vary the strengths and they will be good for everything from blowing out lockplates on doors to destroying the front wheel of a bike or car to blowing a big hole through a Troll heart. Apply to chest and activate!

Yeah, being highly logic focused with a Medical Shop at my doss gives me something like 24 or 26 dice. Let me look.... provided I am using my shop at home and I have no penalties, then yeah, I toss down 26 dice in FA. 24 outside my shop, 21 if it is actually in the middle of combat(silly neocortical boosters not working in situations like that). FA, B/R, driving, and longarms are kind of Haven's thing.

Yeah, it is common knowledge that if you need patching up you can swing by Farhaven and he'll make some time for you and fix you straight out. So, I would assume you guys know he's good at it.

Fortune, no questinos on the hcanges. Looks good. I just hadn't got time to look over it when I put that post up.

I'm about to roll FA on Tain, I'm assuming -2 because he is a mage(or adept or something... mystic adept maybe?) and a -1 for conditions because no matter how clean Haven keeps things it still isn't a hospital. I don't know if Tain has enough(or any) tech to qualify for a negative from that, if so we can just take dice off the back end.

Claymore will be helping with the first aid (teamwork test rules, I assume) ... and keeping a close eye on Haven. Try and stop him.

That is one massive post and some badass First Aid, I hope it all works like I thought.

Well, there is a modifier for "skilled assistant" which is +1. I'll wait to add it to my rolls in case Fist hits me with another penalty of some kind. Also, Haven will mostly be ignoring you while he zones out and FA's the crap out of Tain. Mainly because I don't want to revise that massive freaking post.

I would really prefer it if you would post in slightly smaller chunks though. I was hoping to be able to step in and do stuff (like confront Haven) before we all left the freeway (while Sting was still around to vouch for him), but was left no choice. Now you have posted a huge chunk, when in the mood Claymore is in, he would have made sure to let you know his feelings on the matter. After all, he is skilled enough as well (though maybe not as skilled as Haven) to use all Haven's stuff himself.

I will take that under advisement. This is the first PbP I've ever played that has lasted more than like 10 minutes, so I guess when it went down for awhile and came back up I got a little excited and went overboard. If you want, I can copy the actual FA and leave off at when we arrive at the garage. Fist did the post about the driving and then Tain about arriving so I just went from there. I can take a step back and then edit what I have to respond to you.

In these circumstances, Haven's overprotective instincts take over and he is going to try and fix him by the quickest and most effective means possible. I didn't intend to portay you as an asshole, I was just trying to be nice and since I was the last poster, rolling things back for a moment wasn't a problem. I can put Claymore into the FA thing easily enough now that I've had some sleep. I was just tired by the prospect earlier as I had had 3 labs, 2 tests, and about 14 hours sleep in the past 5 days till I collapsed after editing. You had a good point, I just tend to be verbose and a little controlling and I was excited that something had happened that I could actually you know... do something with. So, I rolled it back and let it slow down a bit and I can add in the FA part after everyone else gets a chance. Again, I'm sorry about leaving the freeway when I did, that was just what I felt Haven would do in that situation. He's very direct and so when asked if he had a place he said "Yes, this way" because he had been wanting to go there anyway to patch Tain up so jumped on the opportunity.

Anyway, I'm sorry if I've been stepping on peoples toes, I'll tone it down in the future. I didn't feel like I was taking multiple steps when I did what I was doing, but I can see how it felt that way to everyone else. Like I said, first real PbP game here so the format and necessary changes are taking me a bit.
