You hadn't actually mentioned any real details regarding the forthcoming 'hiatus'. Are you actually going to be totally out of communication, or will your access be sproatic but limited?
It ain't fair! What'll I do without you ... and this game?
Critias

It should be a totally cut-off from the outside world gig for about two months (unless basic training has really changed in the last few years), followed by sporadic access that he may or may not waste on us, during his advanced personal training (after basic, but before his assigned post).

Pretty much what Crit said. In the meantime, I would suggest watching The Usual Suspects and Things to do in Denver When You're Dead.

OK crew, last post was mine, and I've got nothing else to post at the moment . Is everyone set to move out of the meeting with Sting?
At this point, I'm good with saying that the meeting is 'adjourned', and people are going to rest to regroup the next day. That was pretty much the consensus. I know some of you have things you needed to do after the meeting as well. I'm good with wrapping the meeting here and moving on. Everyone else good to go?
Fortune
May 17 2008, 11:26 PM
I'm waiting for at least someone else to post first ... hopefully with an 'ending' of sorts, as Claymore thinks he needs to chat with Sting alone for a moment.

I sure as hell don't want it to die. It's quite sad to say, but this game is one of the only highlights in my day.
So, c'mon Callidus and DTFarstar ... post something!

May 18 2008, 04:47 AM
If DT and Cal don't have something up by tomorrow, I'll post an end to the meet, with everyone busseled out. Then you can do what you need Fortune.
Dean, thanks .

I know we've got a couple lurks/fans around here, and I'm still loving this game myself. Right now, if Crit and Fortune are still good to go, I am, and we'll move on with who we've got. If we can't keep the full roster, I know there's some others than wanted in too.

I'm still around when I can be, sorry fellas. Work's just been hectic lately, lots of holidays and all the bullshit that comes with them to keep mucking around with my schedule, and making me work instead of hang out on the intertubes all night (the cheek of it!). Between that and being on day 21 of this workout, I'm just bushed.

So, Fist-Who-Walks-Inside ... were you planning an IC post this week?
DTFarstar
May 22 2008, 04:26 AM
Ok, first things first, I would like to start off with a big I'm sorry to all of you. In the hectic time of final exams I totally forgot to mention to you guys that I was going on vacation. I didn't expect it to really interrupt my posting, which it obviously did, but I meant to tell you anyway and I forgot. I went on an Alaskan cruise and then stayed in Seattle a couple of days and every time I had some free time on boat and went up to check my mail and post the satellite service on the boat was down. We had some hellish winds(upwards of 60 mph) and I think they might have damaged the satellite our first night out or something. I don't know. By the time I got to Seattle I had called a friend and asked him to hop on and let you know what had happened.... but apparently even though he said he did.... he didn't. So, that is where I have been, and I'm sorry. I am not even finished unpacking yet and I'm about to collapse into sleep on my wonderful wonderful bed, but I wanted to say hi. Then I saw he didn't post so I wanted to say Sorry too. Anyway, I will be back around now, though from the posts I see above apparently Fist is leaving for boot soon which sucks.
Anyway, hello and sorry, more tomorrow.

Fortune - posting now. Internet went down at a crappy time. *shrug* Nice to know you care though.

Yesterday was Alysha's birthday btw. Took her out to see the midnight show of the new Indy movie. It was pretty cool, althouhg I admit I thought it started out kinda hokey. Spent most of today shopping for essentials for the twins and dropping about half of our "economic incentive package" on $200 twins strollers and the like (Crit probably knows what I mean, the rets of you non-U.S.ers not so much.).

Yeah, the "Economic Stimulus" check. One of my roommates got his today and promptly paid his part of the utilities which was kind of shocking. Usually I have to threaten to get that from him. I'll be back in posting trim in a bit. Might take a day or so my computer is restarting every now and then right now so I'm figuring out what the hell happened while I was gone right now.

It's alright. Some of you humans are just unlucky, and get senile a little earlier than others.

Make sure you remember to get your Drill Instructor to repeat everything a few times, just to make sure that you have everything straight, and you should be good to go.

I figure they'll just yell loud enough for it to bump aside something else in my brain, so that whatever it is they're drilling in to me wil have enough room to make root.
And on that note, if I come back and start spouting off General Orders of Sentry instead of dice modifiers, please bare with me. I expect to need some deprogramming.

I don't know if Alysha would appreciate the lot of us all gathering around and stripping off our clothing.

But then again ...

----------------------------------------------------
As for the rest of you ... if at all possible, could we please try to move this game along to a place where GM intervention and/or interaction is not really necessary for a while? Like maybe the morning meeting? This way, we can still make fluff posts and do the interaction thing while Fistburglar is doing his marching practice.

May 27 2008, 10:19 PM
Yeah that's pretty much what I had in mind. I think we'll have to set a time, because if we're "passing-in-the-halls-posting" a fight, it'll take forever. What times are good for you generally? The time stap is about two hours ahead of my local time, set let me know when works for you in relation to that. I'm usually most available in the morning (around 8am, 10am on the time stamp)
Fortune
May 27 2008, 10:46 PM
Telling me about your time stamp is not particularly helpful. I still have to do the math to convert, because the time stamps are relative to each individual poster. For instance, your past post is stamped
8:19 AM (today) on my computer. According to your claim, that would mean the time stamp reads
2:19 PM (yesterday) to you, although you actually posted at
12:19 PM (yesterday). Right?

How long do you have before you ship?
I'm usually on whenever I need to be, so give me a time and I'll do my best.
Besides, you make it sound like a fight will last any significant amount of time.
