Lung Fist: As far as wounds go, I am of the opinion that enough time has passed in game for at least 1 level of Stun damage to have been healed, at least for those that weren't stabbing womenfolk. As such, I have been assuming that Claymore's single box of Stun damage has finally disappeared, what with his resting when able and favoring his bad leg and all.

P.S. Obviously, I peaked! Sue me!

Fortune - No peeking. There will be things in spoiler boxes that can ruin parts of the game if you're privvy and not supposed to be.
THis might be a good time to mention Bad Karma. Stuff like peeking in spoilers gets you Bad Karma. Bad Karma is effectively Edge for the opposition. I think I mentioned this in my house rule section. If I suspect peeking, Bad Karma will ensue. I'm pretty free with CSP and generous with karma. I'm also very petty with Bad Karma. Ask SinN sometime. Fortune, that first one's free.

Shrug. As I said, sue me.

I peeked in a
roll spoiler, not in one marked
for ... eyes only (something I have yet to do ... why would I?). As far as I am concerned, the only reason I put my rolls in spoilers is for cleanliness sake ... and because I'm quite anal. I fully expect people to read any and all of my spoilers that are not specifically marked for someone else's attention only (as we have all been doing to date). If I had thought it was a big deal, I would not have mentioned it, but as it happens though, that peeking sparked my memory about something I had been meaning to mention, so it wasn't all bad.

Typically it takes
resting time, not just any old passage of time to heal Stun (or any) damage. As such, I didn't want to just assume anything, even though I feel that enough of an interval had passed.

As far as spoilers, I mentioned it because, as you said, I've been making the practice of posting Such-and-such Only, but no one else had. In the future, we'll just set the ground rule that if there is sensitvie information guys, PM me or post GM ONLY on the Spoiler. SHould take care of that.

So, Fistacoatl, can we get some clarification on your definitions of things like 'right now', and 'clear up'? We've pretty much established that 'right now' means something along the lines of 'within the next week or two', but it isn't proper to just go on assuming, so I figured it would be best to ask. 'Clear up' is still a mystery though.

I'm not sure, Fisticus Maximus, if it's an OOC typo sort of thing, an IC misdirection sort of thing, or a me-getting-my-own-wires-crossed sort of thing...but...
Earlier, Vixen told us the decker was a human named Seamus. Now Sting's telling us the decker is an elf named Savvy. The stories are also a little messed up, in a few other details (but those two jumped right out at me). Which is correct, or are they supposed to be the same person?
Figured I'd ask OOC instead of raising a stink IC, just in case it's an OOC error/change/whatever.
fistandantilus4.0
May 2 2008, 07:24 PM
Vixen doesn't (didn't) know everything. It's not just you.
Essentially (OOC) Vixen was supposed to be bringing you in for the run, not prepping you for it. Her info was innacurate. Sting's been playing thigns very close to the vest.
Another good example would be Narse. Vixen and Sting are both naming different people to send you too for back up and to act as a local guide. They each have their own trusted people.

May 3 2008, 04:25 PM
Well, part of it's that I really don't...*shrugs*...don't have any idea how to haul Tain back to the Tir. I didn't really build him for that. He should have a whole bucket of contacts, still, and all kinds of junk like that. I specifically built him worrying mostly about his "post-exile" sort of predicament, and planned on him not going back. There's parts of his background I would've changed if I'd had any notion of him going back to the Tir.
Plus, well, maybe I'm just paranoid-thinking when I GM, but in my head he should get recognized, etc, almost as soon as he shows up (for some of the reasons he mentioned). So I'm just...I dunno. A little 'meh' on the whole thing. Trying to scramble and re-center myself, and try to get back into the groove.
Fortune
May 3 2008, 04:41 PM
Shrug. Claymore isn't built for it either, being the well-connected city rat that he is. Just go with it.

One thing that might help you out, at least Contact wise, is that under Frank's rules, '0-level' Contacts are available (either loyalty
or connections), and as his rules state that the cost for Contacts is Loyalty x Connection (then basically divided by 3), '0-level' Contacts don't cost anything at all. For Claymore, on top of his normal Contacts. I just listed a couple of appropriate areas where he would know a lots of unimportant (or apathetic) people, and then will fill in the blanks as needed.
Critias
May 3 2008, 06:54 PM
Well, I don't mean it in a "oh noes, the numbers on my character sheet aren't optimized for this sort of thing" sort of way, but rather in a "I specifically built up his background and fleshed it out under the assumption he could never go back to the Tir, otherwise he'd be there right now" sort of thing.
The only reason he is with the Ancients is that he's not welcome at home, and he (and his mother) wouldn't be safe if he returned there. That doesn't jive too smoothly with "Okay, well, you're an Ancient now, so back over the border you go," in my head. I'm halfway tempted to dive back into character creation and make a new guy, and have Tain stick it out here in Seattle to try to consolidate his recent political shifts, or something, to be honest. I'm just...I dunno. Bleh.

I never thought that at all! I was merely trying to offer you a hand in adapting as best you can, by reminding you of a couple of lines in Frank's rule set.

Other than that, I don't know what more I can say. I don't really think the problem is as insurmountable as you make it out to be though. What with magic and even mundane disguises and all, a short jaunt should entail minimal risks. But it's your character, and I don't really want to tell you how to play him, especially since I don't have the full details of his background (although it ain't too hard to extrapolate from what has been said to date

).
Personally, I would prefer that you play Tain, but as an alternate you might consider keeping him on this side of the border for the mini-adventure (maybe starting to investigate Vixen on this end while consolodating his new leadership role), and instead playing
Halo, the contact-dude that we meet up with inside the Tir. That is, if Captain Fist is amenable, of course.

Remember that the Tir border has had to open u more, out of economic necessity. It isn't the death trap it used to be. And as Fortune said, there are ways to bypass some of the basic checks, such as a nanopaste disguise, physical mask spells, and the like. The intention here isn't a long term stay over It's an in-and-out, as fast as you can. sting is calling you four in more because she doesn't trust the Portland Ancients to handle it than it being a hard job of finding the guy. Obviously, locals are going to have a better time finding him on their home ground.
If it doesn't make sense for Tain to go IC, then don't send Tain. Staying in Seattle solo is an option.

Crit, I think we need a call on your part. Going to dare the wilds of Portland, or stick to the mean streets of Seattle?
As I said, this isn't the core of the adventure, it's just a part of it. So don't base everything your doing on this section. It's easy enough to meet back up with Tain later, assuming you all survive of course. There's also the dual jobs to handle, and whatever Sting is planning next, that's been vaguely alluded to.

Either way works for me Crit. If you're not going to enjoy the game with the border hop, then do something else. I hate pulling teeth to get someone to post, and that usually happens where they're at a part they don't like. If it makes more sense for Tain to remain laying low, there are things to do in Seattle.
If you guys are set to run the border, feel free to do some OOC planning as well. It'll probably go a bit faster that way. Get what gear you want to take lsited, decide who's riding what (Haven especially), and if you have any plans on how you want to tackle the situation.

Well, I'd misread Fortune's post initially and gotten the impression we were waiting on one of the other two, specifically, to answer (so I was waiting). Then my weekend snuck up on me and kicked my ass.
I've been doing P90X for about two weeks now, and square at my "week and a half" mark of working out an hour to an hour and a half every day -- some of really hardcore stuff I've never even attempted before -- on Saturday I had to help a buddy move. So my schedule was "wake up at 6:30 pm, go to Kali class, swing sticks at people and vice versa for an hour and a half. Go home, work out with crazy hard Legs and Back routine. Go to work all night. Go home, get changed, help your friend move out of his third floor apartment and into a new third floor apartment, making two trips. Hang out with your friends when the work is done, which pushes you to the 24 hour mark by the time you try to go to sleep."
Then, some time after I went to bed Saturday evening, my friends and my wife conspired against me, staying up late and making Champions characters after talking amongst themselves and volunteering me, the unconscious guy, to run a Champions game on Sunday. So my Sunday was all booked up, too (albeit much less physically, hour and a half workout notwithstanding).
And then...like...I blinked, and I was at work last night, hip-deep in The Suck, because one fourth of my department called in (and she's done so again, tonight), making the rest of us scramble.
fistandantilus4.0
May 14 2008, 06:10 AM

But on the birght side, you're leg will be in great shape... once you recover.
And hey, helping a friend move is always good karma. I've always been the friend with the truck, so I know what that's like.
Critias
May 14 2008, 07:34 AM
We could've used ya. Andy wasn't really thinking, and just rented a ten foot truck from U-Haul. We tossed his couch in there, and it was like half the truck. It was ridiculous, took us two trips to move one single guy's stuff.
And, man, my whole body's gonna be in shape from P90X. This shit's nuts. My easy day every week is an hour long nonstop cardio workout followed by a fifteen minute ab routine. I just put an up-front payment on a new costume for D*Con, though, and nothing says "get off your ass and get in better shape" like the knowledge you'll be decked out in spandex, in public, several months from now.

Sig worthy.
I hate cardio workouts. I'd rather run a lot and swim a lot. I tend to do three muscle groups a day, 5 a week, although oddly I've slacked just
before going to boot camp, when I should be working my
hardest. At least I have a good excuse that until I get paid I don't have the gas money to get down to the gym. And it's well out of walking/jogging/running distance. Closest gym is a 17 min drive. Sucky on the gas tank, worst on the feet. But I've almost doubled my situps and push ups. They weren't
great before but progress is good.
So .... Callidus, DT, where ya' guys at? I remember DT said he had some school work, but you really need to check in bro. I'm shipping in about three weeks (well, less actually). I'd like to get a little more done before then if possible. I intend to come back to this game once I have regular internet again. That'll probably be around four months, if I hadn't mentioned that before.
