Damn, but you have dick-all time left.

It really isn't a problem if you don't want to do the fight thing. I sure as hell don't want to get stuck half-way through.

Telling me about your time stamp is not particularly helpful. I still have to do the math to convert, because the time stamps are relative to each individual poster. For instance, your past post is stamped
8:19 AM (today) on my computer. According to your claim, that would mean the time stamp reads
2:19 PM (yesterday) to you, although you actually posted at
12:19 PM (yesterday). Right?

On the aforementioned post, my Time Stamp read 5:19. It was 3:19 my time.
Crit, Fortune, your posts.

Critias/Tain is somewhere else for the next few minutes. Right now it is Claymore, Jake, and Curly, as Aero seems to have "wandered off" as well

. The three of you are in a wide room (think hotel lobby ish) with a few couches and chairs in a not too orderly arrangement, with another ten or so people, plus the five stalking their way to you. Loud rock music is playing on the speakers which seems to have been the last straw for this new group who seem intent on beating the crap out of Jake.

Seriously, about the time ... because I'm anal and it bugs me.
You're in San Diego (right?), which should be GST-8. I am in Sydney, which is GST+10. That is an 18 hour difference, and I think you have Daylight Savings Time at the moment, which adds an hour to your time, so 17 hours. So it should be 3PM there, as it is 8AM here?

Dude!
I made the last post, with Claymore walking up and handing a bottle to Jake. I ain't going to play with myself, and as they aren't my NPCs, in my opinion, a little interaction from either yourself or Critias is in order.

The fight looks good though ... put it in the damn IC.

It is precisely 3:13pm here atm. I'm in Redding incidentally (well, 15 minutes south of it). San Diego (where I woudl much rather be) is 300 miles south (appx) just north of Mexico. I'm about an hour south of Mt Shasta (and Hestaby), and about 2 hours south of Oregon (and the elves).
I've got an IC post up . Let me know what you're doing.

Uhh, yeah. And he might still be

Ok, so this didn't quite work out the way Fistcaliber was planning.
We were
supposed to get through this little encounter, and 'pause' afterward, so that us as players could still post and interact socially at the morning meeting and even during the beginning of the trip (if we were so inclined). In this way, the game could still go on without the GM until he gets back to the real world (of Shadowrun

).
This didn't quite happen!
What I propose is this ... We wrap it up ourselves!
This shouldn't be all that much of a stretch for us. After all, a full scale brawl has not yet broken out. It is, at the moment, just three-on-five, with most of the five down (or in the process of going down). It shouldn't be difficult to withdraw gracefully, maybe with Tain's intervention. It doesn't need to be drawn out or anything. We just need to agree about how to go about closing the 'scene', so that we can move on to more free-form character interaction and all that stuff for a few months.

Jun 3 2008, 12:52 PM
Sounds good to me, not that Haven can really interfere what with his being miles away and in the middle of a conversation right now.
Ok, who votes Claymore gets knocked the hell out? *raises hand*
.... Anyway, in all seriousness, I think it would be a process of mere seconds for Claymore to kick that poor fool on Curly in the head and end him, and then tag team the one fighting Jake, then right before the full brawl erupts Tain can come back in and make some speech about solidarity or some such thing and cool everything off.

Fortune
Jun 4 2008, 06:31 AM
I don't mind at all if Tain wants to make his grand entrance at this point.

There's no real need to actually 'put them down', as the two remaining are probably due to fail a morale test, what with now being outnumbered and their leaders 'out of action' for the moment. Besides, I'd rather not do the dice rolling thing without Bosun's Fist if at all possible, especially for combat-related stuff.
Oh, and the spoiler in my last post is cool for all to read. It is just crap that would clutter up the IC, but was relevant to my mindset at the time.

In case you want to write them into your post, there are about ten other assorted Ancients in the room besides the eight combatants.

Some days are easier then others. I think it will get a bit easier once I actually start hearing from him. As of now, I don't even have an address for him yet. *sigh* He did say something about maybe getting to call home on Father's Day so, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
As for the pregnancy... meh.

If it weren't for the outcome I could very easily come to the conclusion that it is highly overrated.

If I wanted to do that, I'd write a damn book.

I really struggle with writing, and haven't anywhere near the patience or talent to write anything decent. But I really do like this game, and don't want to see it die, or even lag too much. Even a small post from Critias would be enough for me to move things to where we can just do some sort of free-form character interaction.
Maybe if he hasn't posted in a few days, I'll just push things on myself (or DTFarstar could do it if he wanted), at least just far enough to get out of this encounter, then it'll be a bit easier for everyone to post. Or at least for everyone that wants to do so anyway.

Sorry, madness here in the workplace has cut down on my on-line time significantly. They're axing about 12,000 people across the country, and so far only 7,000 have been announced, so the rest of us all have management all of a sudden giving a fuck about us as they scramble around to try and show upper management just how damned important they are.
For the record, though, yes please PM me with Fisty's address. When I was in Basic, nothing was better than mail. Nothing. It tells you someone cares about you (because your drill sergeant doesn't), it's the only time you'll hear your name called (without it being followed by extra PT), and settling in to read a letter is a break in the routine, albeit a small one (the importance of which cannot be overstated).

Same here, I'll send him at least a little note or something. Also, I would help you move stuff along, Fortune, but Haven is at home either talking to someone or sleeping. I'm not sure about the exact time line. So... I really don't have anything I can add unless you just want me to take control of some NPC action.
