Nah, it's cool. My 'bitching' was me being an asshole.

You should play your character as you like. Don't worry about that.
I fully understand getting excited and wanting to post stuff. Sometimes I write two or three posts ahead and save them on my computer (only to have to either edit them heavily or delete them entirely in the end anyway), just so that I can restrain myself from posting too quickly. It's sometimes quite tough to find that exact spot to stop and let everyone respond, especially when I forget that everyone else is acting at the same time. Don't sweat it.

Yeah, that is the hardest thing for me. Figuring out when to move and when not to. I hope I'll get the mix down soon enough. How was my newest post? Too much, too little, just right, or some variation thereof? No, you really weren't being an asshole, I agree now that I've though about it, look at the posts since I rolled my post back and think that we wouldn't have gotten any of that if I would have ignored you. So, thank you, sometimes I just need a right smack upside the head.

I don't know why that post made me think of this, Critias, but there was someone in my Physics class today who was drawing- rather ornately- the name Tain in her notebook. I thought that was an odd coincidence.

Let's just let ass holes be ass holes ... or something like that.

As far as editing posts, I would prefer a post to be edited rather than post oer someone's actions. It's simple enough to cut/paste your post to a note pad, and pull back up the relevant parts later. It make sfo ra more sensical story line. Unless someone else has already posted and moved it further.
In general, I try not to assume that the group as a whole is moving until a majority says so. As Tain and Haven said they were taking off to the garage, I thought it a fair enough assumption however that Clay would follow, or go his own way. It's hard to have 'words' with someone that just drove off.
Anyway, Chris, Fortuna, I don't hink anyone here really has overly sensitive feelings (except Nick of course, who's worried about time zones

), so I think we're cool. We're all getting this going as a group, so if anyone has issues with format or how things are playing out, please
do bring them up. I'd rather someone get confrontational about a problem than sit and stew about something. Problems get fixed if we're aware of them and can get together to agree on something.

Personally, I'm a big fan of people stewing, then bringing issues up. That way there's normally a bigger explosion, and the whole thing's way more fun to sit back and watch.
Fred Fist-stone -- I'll be PMing you theoretically sometime over the weekend with some karma expenditures and a probable swap-out for some of my Attribute Boost. That "caps at 9" thing did surprise me, and I think I'll be trading out about .5 of that power for something else (to stop wasting so much of that ability).

[prepares to dodge the fist] So, you guys looking for another player?

I see you concluded the awesome battle scene. (hurrah!) I have several character sheets worked up hehe. I've got a battlemage and a sneaky sniper and an old-school samurai (with a katana and everything, uber-traditional) I even dusted off my maniacal pipe-bomb-wielding "Exploding Elf" from way back in the day, before deciding that blowing up the ancients would be a bad idea... Oh, and I forgot the OCD technomancer with a hard on for his "pets"... which happen to be a lot of very angry drones. Heehee ^_^ And then there's the sexy social adept who can make people do just
anything for him...

Havok: I think the game's going to have to stay at four. We've got a good dynamic going, and wedging a new character in is just going to seem forced at this point. Sorry man. If anyone ends up dropping though (which has happened, both in this game, and others. That's how DT got on board) then you're first on the list.
DT: 3 CSP way cool post. Remember that you can only use 1 point of Edge per test.
Tain was at 7 boxes physical, so that has him nice and patched.
Callidus: 1 CSP for the Fashion/Blanket idea. Nice.

Looking very good guys, keep 'em coming.

You know I'm kidding right?
Of course.

Not that it matters in this instance, but it is important to keep in mind that the number of 'boxes' that can be healed through First Aid is limited to the higher of either the character's Skill level or the rating of the 'Medkit' used. Like I said though, it doesn't matter in this case, as Haven's 'Medkit' has a rating of 8.

Apr 14 2008, 12:48 AM
Yeah, I kept that in mind, honestly it was the reason I wanted to bring Tain back to the Haven. Haven of course just wanted better facilities. I figured it would be for the best if Tain did not have to meet with Sting while also dealing with the pain. I know about the 1 edge per test thing, Did I misspeak myself somewhere? I thought it was well... murky to semi-clear that I was going to use Edge to re-roll my failures if I had failed to patch him up completely. I don't think I mentioned using edge elsewhere in the test, did I? As for the FA description, yeah, I was kind of proud of that. Most genius'have a tendency to pontificate and expound on things so... I figured the rambling monologue was appropriate. I also tried to take what I knew of the First Aid and a convert it into something that would allow you take basically make battle wounds not matter anymore.

Using Edge lets you go over the normal hit limits, the same as it does with spells. I believe.. But as Fortune said, isn't really an issue for this case, just someting to keep in mind for later.
