FYI for you guys, we're in the process of moving. Just a short distance though, and still in the area. But after Saturday, we'll be a few days without internet. On Friday, I fly back out to Virginia again, same place. So most likely, I'll have jack all for internet for a few weeks. I'll try to get on when I can. This time should be marginally better. I'll have a compter that actually works right, for one. And I know where I can, in theory, get internet. That's better than last time.

The only internet we have is at a Starbucks, a good forty minute drive away. Nothing in the area. Stupid old army bases. The wife and I are looking to see if maybe we can get a short term wireless card or something. But with the move going on, it's a bit lower on the list of priorities. With the pace we've picked up to, I'd really like to be ale to keep the game going steady.

Yeah, not so much on the ease of access. Days are damn long so I haven't had a lot of time to get off base. When I do, I'm busy. It's like they want me to work for a living or some craziness. finally! a use for some knowledge skills!

- trying to think of things like whether the limited accepted signals thing means I can't access it, whether I could issue commands for it to land by the van and deactivate, etc etc.

Logic(6) + Hacking Techniques (3) = 2 hits
- trying to think up ways to take the murderbot if the security gets in the way of how I normally do things.

It's hardware is only euipped to receive that specific signal. The only way to send a signal to it is through that hardware interface (old school directed maaser link).

Second part - not my job to come up with plans for you. But there are regular hings it can do besides shoot. Land, go into passive mode, etc. Dingo can command it legiimately through the uplink, and the rifle has an equivelan to a smartlink.

I'm hoping he's in the "damn, the hacker is doing his thing, mage is doing his thing, I'm waiting for something to shoot" mode. And we haven't been very productive these past couple of weeks thanks to me.

Gloin's a little busy in his real life at the moment. He's promised he hasn't wandered off and gotten lost, though.

Becomes a matter of Intention Vs Result.

Intention: Get the decker out of his van/jackpoint/mother's basement and into the run.

Result: Make them more mobile so that they can run from the van/jackpoint/mother's basement OR the internet cafe or luggage carousel or whatever. I haven't seen a lot who put much effort into getting into some place that wasn't heavily blocked against wifi. And even then they'd try to find a way aorund it first.

I have a sudden urge to make a dwarf who hacks by having himself shipped to the location in a suitcase...

Until he watches luggagehandlers throwing cases around.

As for the spirits, rolled great on the first resitance tests, crap on the next two. Unless Nix has some reason to hold them back, his spirits will disrupt them.

OK! so, here's the course of action:
1) I order my agent to intercept and eliminate the data pack
2) My agent will intercept it.
3) If the agent fails to intercept it, I will do so.
4) As I intercept, I will send the "ohgod you're gonna die" warning to the team.


2) Agent(4) + sniffer(5) = 2 hits (glitch). Ouch.
3) Hacking(6) + sniffer(5) + VR(2) = 2 hits. Edge reroll = 2 hits for a total of 4.

Pretty much, but if it comes into clear range for my shotgun first then he's taking the shot. Note: it is currently loaded with stick & shock rounds.
