Ward is your garden variety opaque astral barrier, force 6. Made with Hermetic magic, similar to the templar style. You have the astral signature of the creator, most likely a single individual, as there is no resonance of group work.

Synching up, you won't know until you've tried to pass through.

Rules are vague, I'm going to lay down that if someone bounces, the creator is not aware. (Note this will apply to PC created wards as well) The creator is aware of any attempt to destroy (combat) the ward.

So you can attempt to synch up, if you fail you bounce but the creator does not know that you attempted anything.

That's exactly what I'll try, as soon as I get my MiTS back (out for the afternoon). Unless some kind soul wants to remind me of the rules for sync'ing up?

First and foremost, I'm looking for defenses, especially magical. Guardian spirits, wards, that sort of thing.

Secondly, any information I can gather about the man himself, training, weapons, etc, hopefully an astral signature.

Anything else guys? As far as I know, it's just a quick, initial scan.

In case it wasn't clear - that first bit of my last post was a daydream Edana had while at her meeting. Herne is back and forth between Crash/Gellawyn at Downtown's place and her interminable financial meetings.

Fen, those sound like fine things to look for. Other things... stuff he likes to eat, residue from places he might frequent (churches)...

Fenris--Most likely the exterior ward is his own. Searching the room, you find a collection of melee weapons and firearms inside cases in drawers. It's difficult to make out clearly what they are because the cases are foam packed, but you can tell that they are no larger than an SMG nor smaller than a heavy pistol.

Magical defenses, there are the wards you passed through. No spirits actively patrolling the room. The sense of the room itself is one of stoicism and pain.

In the closet, you also find an extra set of riding gear and gloves, so he probably rides a motorcycle.

Re: the chip of wood--It is some form of relic but you can't say for sure what it does. Templar Magic is heavily influenced by the Church, and with the awakening, several of their relics have proven to be magically active due to the level of belief the world has in them.

Also how are we doing karma spending in this game? What's the drill for spending it and all that. Thanks!

Same as my other games:

People earn one karma per week. Apply as you see fit and shoot me over the updates. If you want to initiate or do odd things like that, work with me and we'll see what can happen.

Uh, McQ? I just realized I have no idea what tradition my character follows. I changed the concept so many times in my head, I've forgotten what I selected, and I didn't note in on the character sheet. Did I note somewhere what tradition I was in the stuff I sent to you?

My records have you down as a Hermetic mage, with flavoring from the Paths of the Wheel. This is mainly from your fetishes for the four elements...there is not a distinct statement declaring fealty to any specific tradition.

LOL...I guess that will do. I think I was specifically flavoring towards the Path of the Steward, but it's mostly just flavor. Hermetic it is. Thanks McQ.

Just bumping and wanting to get a plan from the rest of the team. What's it going to be folks? I built this character for hunting and killing Templars but I am more than willing to play this one all covert like if that's what people want to do.

Service 2 - Take care of Kane if the coast is clear (walk him, feed him)
Service 3 - Return if the coast is not clear or if task is done (be vigilant, warn us of trouble)

Edana will release the spirit if she senses that it gets in to trouble.

Hey, just wanted to respond and let you guys know what's going on with the lag. I foolishly decided to take four classes during a compressed semester known as "Intersession" at college, so we're covering 16 weeks worth of classes in four. Needless to say, I haven't had much free time lately. On the bright side, next week is my last week, and the posting will pick back up after then.

The name Walker has no special meaning to the Templars.

It's possible Ulick chose the name to bring himself closer to his target or that it's his name or that he has a familial connection beyond that of brother...
