Any last minute plans of attack before I push the initial intel on the bar, and a return of our gunfighter with his solar escort? |
Well, the one big thing I can think of is that Bubbles was working on some sort of hack to either suss out the sec system or look for active nodes in the place. Been waiting on that before moving in. Could turn up darned important-to-know stuff before we expose ourselves...
That done, you mentioned that for the drone to get in we would have to pry open the doors on the beer-door-thing a centimeter or two. Figured once we had the hack settled, we'd make our approach on the rear, and I'd start by using my survival knife to do the prying.
Team disposition that I believe we've agreed on so far -
Pesto in van on street at end of alley.
Sun outside rear entrance.
Al and Bubbles go in.
I am guessing Flint will also come in with us.
No idea about Mitch.

Nice work, Dire.
So, office door unlocked? Office really unoccupied? Now that all the maglock housings have been tampered with, no reason not to toss the place...
If door is locked, wait for Bubbles.
If not, go in, making a perception test for more motion sensors or cameras before entering.
Perception + Intuition = 6 dice
3 4 6 1 2 1 = 1 hit
Then tossing the place. Probably want to do individual perception tests depending on what all is in the office, but here is a general Perception test to start with.
6 2 3 4 2 1 = 1 hit
Like I said, probably do more specific tests once I know what's in here - desk? in and undersides of drawers, and hidden compartments. wall or floor safe? look under furniture/carpet and behind anything on wall.
Computer - call Bubbles, or if she's busy ask Pesto to hack it remotely.
If there is an anachronistically large volume of paper, start scanning file titles.
Looking for any drugs, of course.
And I'm no bloodhound, but the Ragman stank pretty bad, right? Any whiff of him?
If there's a notepad, try the old pencil-brush thing to see what was on the previous page.
Anything locked (lock box, drawer), call Bubbles.
No need to be subtle here - just looking for anything good.
Once I'm done with the office, look around and make sure the bar's layout "syncs up" - looking for the likely existence of secret rooms or stairwells -
Industrial Mechanic + Logic = 7 dice
5 2 3 2 3 1 6 = 2 hits
And go from there - there's SOMETHING here...

Ok, Perception tests (Visual) from everyone inside.
Anyone with heightened olfactory can attempt to smell out previous occupants.
The office door is locked, it appears to have a proximity based RFID system similar to a maglock. Opening it will require either the proper RFID or a some hacking. (Device Rating 4) Simple Exploit and then Command.
With the current people in the van, you can safely fit 3 kegs. More than that and you can replace one person with a keg.
Adamu--From outside the office, there do not appear to be any noticeably absences of space hinting at secret rooms.

So - what is the floor made of?
What, in the basement, is directly under the "denser" spot I found? I'll run down and look if I need to.
I guess I've already had my Perception test to just "find" my way in...
But I will make another one from in the basement - either directly under the spot (I can pace it off if I need to - Navigation + Intuition = 8 dice 3 4 2 4 6 2 5 4 = 2 hits) or at whatever is blocking access to that spot.
Perception + Intuition = 6 dice

OOH - wait, three mechanical successes in hand, if, as you say, Al thinks it might be a combination mechanical/electronic lock, he'll proceed with a hardware extended test to see if that'll do him any good.
The following roll assumes Bubbles will trust Al with her microtronics kit (take off four dice and four tests if not!)

1 4 5 1 1 1 = Glitch - yeesh - hope it's open before that (or the roll doesn't even count cuz without the tools I never get to make it!)
Okay, if this test is even applicable, that's 3 more successes WITHOUT tools,

Rolling Seattle Dockyards (street) to know of a good (good as in close and discreet) place to put the vehicles.
Intuition + Skill = 7 dice
2 6 2 4 6 3 3 = 2 hits
Basically just want to be able to answer Flint's question, but wondering if we really want our rides to be very far away...
So any knowledge I have from this test is just one factor of many - thinking we could leave vehicle disposition up to amra28 - we need to combine inconspicuous with proximity, and I reckon Pesto is up to the task.
And since I hope we will be securing the forge in the van BEFORE we try this ambush thing, we need a real thorough sweep of that thing for tags, and that also must be BEFORE we move it (as Bubbles hinted) - any tags need to be left in place.
There is a possibility this thing will be tagged for diagnostics - so that if it is unplugged or disrupted or whatever it squawks....
Another thing - anyone we capture, we have to work on them fast - remember how the Ragdude self-destructed... If we can come up with countermeasures to that sort of thing, all the better...
We can bring these concerns up IC, naturally, just getting thoughts in order and out there for discussion.
