Fortune--Can I get 2 Ranged Defense rolls?
Fortune
From out of nowhere .... biggrin.gif

Defending
Looking like just Reaction of 7
- 3, 5, 4, 1, 6, 2, 4 = 2 hits
- 6, 4, 1, 5, 1, 6, 4 = 3 hits (even if at -1 Pool from second Dodge)
Remember that he's crouching partially hidden behind a doorway. wink.gif

"I'm a gonna kill that slitch!"
DireRadiant
Don't worry I already said Bubbles has your back. smile.gif
BishopMcQ
Fortune--I need you to soak damage from your own gun smile.gif 2 net hits.

Ophis--You're up.

Amra--You're behind Ophis.

Flint17
Mitch 13
Sun 13<--Init.
Pesto 12
Al 12
Bubbles 11
Fortune
Electrical damage? Ryan is wearing non-conductive armor.

Damage Resistance
Body 6 + Armor 5 {Lacing 1 + Orthoskin 3 + Armor Jacket 6 / 2} + Nonconductive 6 = 17
- 4, 4, 2, 5, 4, 1, 6, 6, 3, 5, 2, 3, 2, 5, 5, 1, 3 = 6 hits
Fortune
Y'all weren't too attached to Mitch, were you? biggrin.gif
Ophis
Sun is going to try to move into a position to try and touch (and shock Mitch) but not engaging yet. Also sending a message to Flint along the lines of "He's probably more useful to us alive." Any rolls needed for this?
BishopMcQ
Ophis--None at the moment.
Ophis
Cool, shout if I need to roll something
Fortune
You'll need to roll Mitch's corpse over in a few seconds. wink.gif
amra28
@BishopMcQ

I will put an in game post up after Ophis but since my rolls from page 25 of the OOC did not get used, you might as well use them for Pesto's turn this time around.
adamu
And unless otherwise directed, I plan to post after amra28 does - just an IC describing the IP1 actions I declared on Oct 12 (page 26), to which I just now edited in a clarification.

Note to all players - best not to quit this game! First guy that did got killed. Next one got his brain taken over by the bad guys (which may get him killed, too!).

Outstanding GM response, if you ask me.
Fortune
I'm having a ball with this game. smile.gif
adamu
Double ditto on that. This game rocks. Sometimes I kinda wish the posting rate was a bit more vigorous, but I reckon this particular game's players are scattered across four continents, so maybe that's just the way it is.

But this is one of just a couple of games that keeps me logging on every day.

Hint hint! wink.gif biggrin.gif
DireRadiant
I'm waiting my turn. Otherwise you'd be getting page long posts describing the insides of Bubbles burning eyelids.
Ophis
I hadn't thought Sun's actions needed an IC post...

Will post if people want, but don't let Sun's sidling none action stop you posting.
amra28
I figured you were going to post the message you were sending to Flint. Sorry for holding things up.
Fortune

Me too. biggrin.gif
adamu
IC up per my OOC declaration.

Since most everyone else is, unless otherwise directed I'll take a wait-and-see approach on my 2nd pass. But Bishop, if you want declarations ahead of time, I will of course oblige.

Bishop - about the door - don't really care if it swings freely or has a knob, I can open it with a free either way, but still would like to know whether it swings into the hall or into the bathroom, and whether the hinges (base of swing) are towards the back door or towards the bar.

Or can I just write it the way I like? (Personally my favorite option.)

And is it straight across from the office, or not so?

Call me a sillyhead, but I'm always trying to minimize my chances of getting shot in the face.
BishopMcQ
Adamu-Swings inward towards the bar. If you take cover behind the door, you will be facing the back door. It is straight across from the office.
BishopMcQ
Bubbles is up.

Amra--Any Matrix theory background knowledges?
DireRadiant
Observe in detail
int 3 + perception 3 = 6
3 hits = 5 5 3 1 6 4

possibly hear shots from office, but more interested in whom or whatever might be entering from back, though obviously sight lines are limited from her hiding spot.
amra28
No matrix related knowledges.
Fortune
QUOTE (DireRadiant)

You get an extra +3 dice for Observe In Detail. wink.gif
adamu
Near as I can tell, we've all acted and there has been a GM response to all actions and questions.

Are we waiting on additional external events from the GM side, or are we free to go back to the top of the initiative roster (since we seem to insist on going one at a time...)?
Fortune
Waiting for actions from the 'opposition' ... or to be told that it's time for Flint to finally get to pepper the Bar with munitions. wink.gif
BishopMcQ
Hey folks--

Sorry for dropping off the radar for nearly a week. Wildfires were spreading all over the city. Family and friends were evacuated, some of them are back in homes. Houses were lost, but everyone is still alive.

I should have a bump up today.
Fortune
No problem. Glad everyone is alright. smile.gif
BishopMcQ
Ophis--Sun has a delayed action still.

Fortune--Time to plug Mitch or the rest of the bar...
Fortune
Decisions, decisions! biggrin.gif
Ophis
Sun will continue to hold until Mitch is a reasonable target for her, distracted or preferably unconscious.
Fortune
One shot with each gun. I'll wait till you give me an idea on the modifiers. biggrin.gif
BishopMcQ
Multiple Targets -2, Blind Fire for the shot in the hallway -6

And the normal split dice pool for firing 2 firearms.
Fortune
QUOTE (BishopMcQ)
And the normal split dice pool for firing 2 firearms.

Not in this instance. That was the point of his firing each weapon only once (when he could have taken a second shot with the Roomsweeper). You only split the Pool if you fire two weapons on the same Simple Action, which is not the case here. First SA is the Warhawk shot at Mitch, and the second SA is the blind-fire shot with the Roomsweeper. The second shot would also have the -2 for a second target (but not the first).
Fortune
Well, just in case you agree ... and if you don't, please let me know and adjust accordingly ...

Ruger Warhawk - right hand
- Damage: 7P / AP: -3
Agility 7 + Pistols 6
+2 Heavy pistol specialization
+2 Smartlink (still applicable as not using 2 guns in the same Simple Action)
= 17 dice
- 2, 1, 5, 2, 5, 4, 1, 6, 5, 4, 5, 1, 4, 2, 3, 3, 2 = 5 hits

Remington Roomsweeper - left hand
- Damage: 7P {f} / AP: +5 {impact armor}
Intuition 5 + Pistols 6
+2 Heavy pistol specialization
+2 Smartlink
-6 Blind fire
-2 Second target
-1 Warhawk recoil
= 6 dice
- 4, 3, 6, 2, 1, 4 = 1 hit {maybe biggrin.gif}
BishopMcQ
By taking a separate simple for each shot, you don't split pools. I was unsure, so I mentioned it. For Blindfire, you use intuition instead of agility.
Fortune
Noted and info changed in the above post. smile.gif

Bishop -

I know I am not quite up yet, but to save time I thought I'd run my probable actions by you, as I see the potential for a sort of conflict between what may or may not be possible at the outset of my move.

In brief - hearing all the gunfire outside the door, Al will shoulder the bathroom door open, back to it to be screened from the bar, perception test down the hall and out the back door, then second simple to either shoot a target, pursue anyone out back door, or else make another perception test peeking around door into bar.
(I'll break all that down in better game terms detail later).

The reason I write this now is that since the very beginning of the action is to swing the door out into the hall right where the action is, everything might get sorta derailed if the door ends up hitting something/someone. Just wanted to put that out there, in case once it's my turn you want me to hold off on writing out my whole sequence for IP 2.

If I don't hear anything from you, I'll just plan on proceeding as outlined above.
adamu
Okay, with Sun delaying, and Pesto unlikely to directly impact my actions based on his current activity/position, I am going to formalize the above actions now, since I have some time tonight.

As I may not officially be "up" yet, I understand it will be up to Bishop when exactly they occur.

Much as I'd like to, not going to put up an accompanying IC at this time, since there are too many variables.

IP2

Free action - open door (use simple object --> free action)

Movement - shuffle out into hall, shoulders against the door, holding it open in a way that screens me from the bar and leaves me facing down the hall toward the back door.

IF something impedes the door opening, step back and fire twice through the door at 45 degree downard angle - toward hostile's feet - so as that my shot can't go across the hall to hit Flint et al.

Intuition + Longarms + specialization - 6 for blind fire = 5 dice (shoulder stock compensates second shot's recoil).
2 1 6 5 5 = 3 hits
3 5 3 6 3 = 2 hits

Remington 990 w/EX slugs = Base 8S with -2 AP

IF nothing impedes door swing and I complete movement into hall -

THEN -

IF there is no immediate target in my LOS, Perception test down hall and as far as possible into alley. There has been some stuff about clearing smoke, so I haven't subtracted vision mods, but of course feel free to do so.
Perception + Intuition + Actively Perceiving = 9 dice
1 6 4 6 2 6 6 1 5 = 5 hits

IF that turns up a target, fire once.

IF I hear someone running away outside, will pursue my remaining nine meters of walking movement and repeat perception test or try to get a shot off (rolls below).

IF it doesn't turn up a target, peek around edge of open door into bar, making a Perception test for the situation in there.
1 5 4 6 4 6 4 2 4 = 3 hits

IF there is an immediately obvious target when I move into the hall, fire twice or until target goes down - will DELAY the second shot if the first knocks target down.

Thus, I will be firing 0, 1, or 2 times. So here are two rolls, again without smoke.

Agility + longarms + specialization = 7 dice
5 4 1 3 1 3 5 = 2 hits

6 2 1 4 5 1 1 = 2 hits

IF I am ever targeted by ranged weapon fire, I will forfeit my IP1 of the next combat turn to Full Dodge my ass back into the bathroom.

Here are two rolls, subtracting one die from second roll.

Adjusted reaction + Dodge + specialization = 12 (11) dice

2 4 5 1 3 3 5 2 1 5 3 5 = 4 hits

5 4 1 4 3 6 5 5 4 1 6 = 5 hits

Please use a point of my Edge to reroll failures on any Dodge roll that leaves me having to soak damage.

If you need anything else, let me know.
BishopMcQ
Adamu--Thanks for the updates. I will get them rolling today.

Ophis--Are you taking an action against Mitch?

Amra--Actions for Pesto?
Ophis
Screw it Sun will launch an attack!!!

What modifiers apply, I know I have -1 defaulting and +2 for it being a touch attack as its shock gloves. Do I get anything for Mitch being on the floor and potentially surprise?
Fortune
QUOTE (Ophis)

biggrin.gif
BishopMcQ
He'll have some modifiers to his defense, but Sun is good to go with what you have listed.
amra28
Pesto's is going to analyze the node for anything hidden:
4,1,4,6,4,3,1,4 = 1 Hit

and then analyze the user logs to see if any accounts were added or modified:
6,2,6,3,1,4,1,3 = 2 Hits
Ophis
Okay thats a glorious 7 dice (Sun is such a combat monster...)

1, 4, 4, 3, 6, 5, 1 = 2 hits!!!!

Well at least as a touch attack I win draws IIRC.
BishopMcQ
Dire--Bubbles is up.

Team--At this point, Hayden is down. Mitch has been obviously wounded, but still fighting. Tara is unconscious but alive.
Ophis
Woo hoo I hit!!!

Bugger I'm a target, hope the -2 tasered/electricity penalty helps...
BishopMcQ
There's at least 2 player's up before he goes again...hopefully they will drop him for you.
Fortune
Nice shot, Al. biggrin.gif
