If I were to hack my goal would be to shut her out of accessing her commlink. I assume this would require admin access. Hacking for admin access will substantially increase the chances that the hack is detected, unless I get really good die rolls (which is not my speciality).

I am putting this out there to see what everyone else thinks and if the group wants me to persue this line of hacking.

If I hack for normal account access I could probably monitor what she does with her commlink but I doubt I could stop her.

The other option is to take her away from here, keep her drugged and do a slow hack on the commlink which would greatly increase the chances that an admin hack will not be detected. Of course by the time the hack was comleted the people who run the bar would know something is up with her.

Dude, that is a darned good enumeration of a lot of worrisome pros and cons.

My opinion, which is only one of five, is that we should act sooner than later, since the longer we wait, the more chance we will SOMEHOW be detected by the opposition.

And if your ability to pull off the fast hack is a toss-up, then NOW is the time, since she is unconscious - I mean, if you set off the alarm, a lot of bad things could indeed happen - but the WORST thing - an active response by the comm's owner - will NOT happen.

So yes, there are certainly risks - but we're shadowrunners - no option is 100% safe.

Sunis planning on playing Undercover Cop and asking the questions we want answered. She going to friendly and reasonable while Flint is nasty and will suggest we just get rid if "this piece of trash" and such like...

On the other hand Sun doesn't want her woken while her comm is still active.

So after our Hackers/Riggers have gone back and forth, I need:

A hardware/computer + Logic test from Bubbles depending on if she is ripping out components or futzing with the software on the detonator.

Some hacking rolls from Pesto. I know that you aren't going to hack until after the all-clear comes from Bubbles, but having the rolls will speed things up for me to bump threads. (Exploit to break in, and then tell me how you plan on shutting it down.)

Ok Pesto hacking for admin access. Stealth = 5. He goes full VR.

Ok basically once inside Pesto will want to lock all user and security accounts. Then he will change the login for admin access. Just tell me what you need to accomplish this or if i can do it.

Analysis of the node--It is not currently on alert, it is rating 6, it is a single-tier node (PAN), there is a hidden connection to a tertiary node.

I am going to give you extra rolls for each in case you need them.

After he finishes with this task he will search for the most recent incoming/outgoing calls and text messages. If one of the data search rolls above is still unused then use it, if not:

Then he will search the files on the commlink for any reference to this drug we found. If one of the data search rolls above is still unused then use it, if not:

Finally Pesto would like to analyze the connection to the tertiary node if he can to try and get some idea of what it is for:

Those are indeed two key questions.

Brought this forward to save me constantly looking back at it:

So first question we have to answer is this - Do the forge and materials we found constitute THE manufacturing facility, or just some "branch office"?

The encrypted files reference a clinic in Georgetown - is that where research is being done, or might there also be larger-scale manufacturing there?

Second question is of course who is the money man. We don't have to find, kill or capture him - but the Johnson will probably want some sort of verification of the identity we provide.

So the thing to ask the naked girl is -

Where is the "main" manufacturing facility?

Who is backing the op, and how do we verify it?

Once we have that, we ask for whatever info might be helpful in following up on the leads we glean from her , i.e. whatever we need to do to get the verifications/destroy any "main" facilities.

during the interrogation fun, as he sits sipping beer in the bathroom, Al will split the screen on his comm.
Half will be the view from Clara.

The other half will be the drug distribution schedules from the encrypted files.

Poring through them, hoping to get some idea of the volumes and timetables involved - and compare with the forge we found to get some estimate of whether it could possibly be the "main" facility, or whether there must be some larger facility somewhere.

And if the distribution schedule gives any indication of point of origin of the distribution routes, well, that'd sure be a bonus.

Not sure what to roll - guess I'll start with Logic + Intuition (ten dice) for now:

Also, do the files give the exact name of the Georgetown clinic? If so, I'll be sure and send that on to Sun.

I was going to have Al let everyone know about the approach of the hostile, but since you asked for a perception test, I thought I was supposed to wait on the results of that before announcing to everyone what I saw on Clara's feed.

Looks like my dice were not up to the task!

What was the rating of the stim patch used to wake up your hostage?

Ophis--Just to check, do you realize that it's quite possible you will kill the woman with overflow? The Stim patch didn't actually heal the boxes, it just let her pretend they weren't there.

I know the risks. As it stands there is a fair chance she's dead anyway... We seem to have everything we need from her as it is. Sun is going to try and keep her alive though. Once Flint is clear she'll check for pulse etc.

Well, not opening the bathroom door!

Don't know how much time I have, so I'd like to complete as much of the following as possible:

Clip commlink to left cuff of jacket (free action).


I don't have a layout of the bathroom, but assuming the door is visible from under the stall(s), then position self prone with head and shoulders half behind a toilet bowl, weapon trained on doorway (I'll only be able to see feet - or rolling grenades!). (movement into stall, no cost; drop prone free)

Delay as much as I have time to delay.

If a grenade comes in, then get head and shoulders as far behind toilet bowl as possible. Any feet come in, shoot twice (with first hit hopefully taking the person down to my level!).

Bubbles is going to fire off the Jammer, who knows, it might work on a remote detonated device, if it happens to be in the area of effect and be working on a signal. Stay dropped behind the bar and cover her ears and take a deep breath. Assuming the bar provides some cover or barrier protection.

Ha, this is when I notice I deleted something I shouldn't have from the character sheet. Ah well.

For speed's sake I am making some assumptions on mods. Please adjust them accordingly.
I assumed that with the door closed the smoke won't be bad enough yet for a vision mod.

Delay Action

IF anyone enters room, shoot the feet. If they stay up, shoot again. If they fall, shoot 'em dead.

Longarms + Specialization + Agility = 7 dice
- 2 for "specific effect" called shot - naturally do damage plus knock down
-1 shooting from cover (this one is dumb if you are settled into a firing position, but it's in the book)
1 2 2 2 = 0 hits

Shooting again, obviously keeping the called shot mod. Recoil compensated by stock.

Remington 990 firing EX slugs for 9P base, AP -3

IF at any point I am being shot at, will use the delay OR forfeit following action to use full D.

I will use a point of Edge to reroll any Dodge test that leaves me getting shot (having to soak).

3 3 1 1 = If it is possible to Crit Glitch a soak, and IF this evil roll ends up being needed, I will use my last point of Edge to cancel the Glitch (or burn it for Hand of God if it is that bad - as in I would DIE)

IF a grenade rolls/flies into the room -

RAW doesn't give the defender a dodge test, just a soak. But I reckon if I have a delay and there is any time-lag at all on the thing going off...

In room away from stall - retreat head and shoulders as far as possible behind toilet bowl.

Within a meter of me - use shotgun to "sweep" it as far as possible back towards door.

No idea what to roll for those - feel free to roll for me if needed.

Grenade soak - same four dice
4 3 1 4 = 0 hits
Will use Edge here if there is any way it can keep me conscious.

IF door opens and nothing happens - retract shotgun out of immediate view and Observe in Detail - looking for disturbance of the smoke on the floor, and listening for footsteps - thinking invisible bad guys.

Perception + Intuition + Actively observing = 9 dice

Questions - smoke rises. Some noxious gasses are heavier than air and don't. Smoke seeping in under the door rising?

Much may depend on the door - swings into the bathroom? Out into hall? Hinges toward Al (open door covers intruder) or away from him? Door has knob that needs turning, or swings freely?
