Ok. Currently they will wake up naked and laying next to each other on the floor. I wasn't sure if you wanted them in different rooms or facing each other; clothed or nude; tied up or unrestrained. Basically, did you want to describe the finer points of the narrative or leave it up to me?
Fortune
Mar 24 2008, 10:42 PM
Well, we'll definitely split them up. It would even be preferable if they can't hear the other being interrogated, but that might not be possible (although with judicious use of a white noise generator ...). I would also think that some form of restaint would be in order.
As for the narrative, I can't speak for Ophis, as Sun may want to do this in a specific way.
If it were up to Ryan, these things would probably progress in a different manner.

Definately seperate and isolated from each other, jammers would help.
Looking down table Outnumbered, check, Weapons obvious, check. Thats +4 without any modifier for being naked and tied to a chair which I'd guess is another +2. Sun would prefer to avoid torture as we need them to talk but not just say anything to stop the pain (thats how the SAS train their guys, if tortured just keep talking, tell them everything and drown out what they're after in noise). With the one we suspect is a technomancer we use that to our advantage, with the other I'm unsure maybe we can play more good cop/bad cop.

Treatises on medicine, chemical engineering, matrix design theory
Also references to AIPS - Artificially Induced Psychotropic Schizophrenia Syndrome - the supposed precursor or sign of TM capability.
Reference to a clinic in Georgetown (southern part of Downtown district of Seattle 'Plex), which we have reason to believe is South Seattle Medical Center.
We found distribution schedules that indicate this forge is NOT the main manufacturing facility.
It is a distribution facility (as is another place called Location Bravo). The dealers it supplies generally cover 70 city blocks each (freaking huge - think of the cost efficiency), relying on customers to be able to find them.
Bishop - that's what I know of on the chips we found and decrypted. I am pretty sure Al skimmed the whole thing. And I am pretty sure there were no operating instructions for the forge.
If I am wrong about that, please let me know.
Dire - why not give a Hardware test a shot - Bubbles seems like she should be able to just figure it out.
It is possible that Al is carrying around the "base" drug in his pockets - the stuff from the lock box under the bar. So if you want to try a test run, we could have fun with that....

QUOTE (BishopMcQ @ Apr 19 2008, 12:34 PM)

Team--I'm enjoying the sidelong chats, and hopefully they will come out to a plan.
Okay - the following assumes that we do not run off on some "going into biz for ourselves" tangent ,and that we still complete the run as hired.
Possible outline -
Get a line on Keith from Tara or Hayden.
Grab him for hard intel - he knows a lot more than the girls (though we don't know yet what Hayden knows).
More than likely end up hitting the clinic (and can get sec info from Keith).
Now, there is a strong argument for skipping Keith and going straight to the clinic. The more we muck about, the more chance they come after us first, or at least are ready for us at the clinic.
So we could just get what Hayden knows (I can probably wake her up as soon as we want) and go straight for the clinic. Still haven't used the option of threatening the girls with hurting the other - but Sun seems to be doing fine anyway with the "sell the TM" angle.
The only problem with going straight for the clinic is that destroying the manufacturing facility is only half the job - the other half is IDing the operation's backers.
Hitting the clinic could get us that info, or it could send them totally underground.
So - assuming we will definitely sweat the girls, and assuming we will eventually hit the clinic, the immediate question is:
Go for Keith or skip Keith?

Full-on agree with that.
At the moment, Al NEEDS sleep. But a few hours should do. Enough time to finish the interrogations, and then we can ride.

I think we should at least explore the possibility of nabbing Keith. We have to look at the bottom line though and make sure the overall run doesn't end up costing us money. I forgot how much we were getting paid but I remember that it wasn't a lot.
Pesto also could use some sleep.
All good questions so far.
Fortune
Apr 22 2008, 01:36 AM
Ok, as far as sleep in concerned, Ryan distributed 3 doses of Long Haul (so far at his own expense!) to someone non-troll-like. The order of preference would have been racially-based, of course, with Sun getting first offer, then humans, dwarves, and then orks, and finally (but probably not) trolls.
So ... speak up!

Al don't have nothin' ta do with no demon drugs.
Though if we must roll, I suppose he could catch at least a brief nap in the back of the van as we drive.
If there was a "can sleep anywhere" positive quality, Al would have it.
Like amra28, I am more inclined to grabbing Keith than not.
I also agree that we have compiled a very good set of questions, applicable, by the way, to both girls.

Actually, I could have sworn the Long Haul got passed around before we ambushed Tara.

I suppose a similarly simple bit of search fu on the OOC thread would turn up all those that declared they took some...
Fortune
Apr 24 2008, 02:39 PM
Shrug. That's cool. Glad it was Ryan that killed him then. Can't blame anyone else for the waste.

As for the others, I am lazy and didn't (still don't) feel like searching, so I figured people would know if their characters took the stuff. Doesn't matter to Ryan, as the less people that speak up, the less it actually cost him out of his own pocket. Of course, if it comes to the fact that he still has some left (all three unaccounted for), then it is still available. All someone has to do is ask.
adamu
Apr 25 2008, 03:31 AM
Well, don't know about other folks. Al's not taking any Long Haul, cuz it's of the devil. Wake him up if you need him for anything.
OOC - seems we have laid out a couple of possible broad strategies (basically, sweat girls, grab Keith, and hit clinic, OR sweat girls, skip Keith, and hit clinic). Both, however, rely on finishing the two interrogations.
And the questions are up.
And at least some of the necessary rolls and IC have been made.

In any case, certainly didn't mean to play "push the GM." More like a general effort to keep the planning+action ball rolling. These forums games have a real tendency to slow down once things go from reactive to proactive. Planning and consensus-building are the worst!
adamu
Apr 25 2008, 03:08 PM
@Ophis - that last round of questions didn't seem to yield much.
Except for the last part about one dealer being dead. Is that Ragman? In the earlier interrogation, she said he was just some crazy loon (though his huge stash - and the self-destruct - belied that). Where there is a lie there could be a greater truth.
Also, the whole mention of usually calling Keith on her commlink. Is it just me, or do I get the sense she doesn't know she's a TM? But she knew what you were talking about when you threatened to sell her to a corp...but then was that before or after the weird eye-color change? That meant something, by golly - but of course Al knows nothing about that incident, so this is just OOC table-talk.
If you ask her anything else, I would make it about her relationship to Hayden and Hayden's role. I think Hayden knows a lot more, and anything we get from Tara about her could be leverage in the next interrogation...
Just some wacky thoughts.
Hope you're feeling better.

Okay - assuming we are able to get past this Longhaul controversy -
Here is my suggestion of a tentative action plan. It is based on OOC conversation to this point.
1. Sun asks Tara about Hayden (personal relationship; role in the drug thing).
2. We wake Hayden up (you could wake Al up to do that, if necessary) and Sun interrogates her about Keith and the clinic.
3. Based on that, we either grab Keith or immediately start scouting clinic, or both at the same time.
I am not tied to this plan, and welcome any changes anyone wants to make.
But I have provided it so that maybe we can jumpstart some constructive activity on this thread.
Cuz I am impatient and love this game!
