Sorry for my lack of posting, this weekend is going to a rough one on me, but Monday I'll be back in the swing of things. For now, just assume that Jessie gets a room at the bar for us to use and what not, but remains quiet for now about any ideas she may have until she hears from everyone else.

My other games I was able to make a quick reply to, but this game needs me to read a lot of stuff to catch up, so it'll have to wait. I'll try to get some time tomorrow to come on and do so though. If not, then I'll post first thing Monday morning.

Heh, I managed to post tonight, which is a good thing considering I might not be able to post till tomorrow night. In case of disaster, I might not be around till Friday (I've used the hotel I'm heading to before and their internet seems to work fine, but you can never tell what'll turn up *coughharddrivefailurecough*.

I would like to point out a few things you all may have missed,

Who is Kyle Morgan? What is his background? What are his connections to Novatech, and what would S-K want with him? Who is his bodyguard? What connections does he have to Novatech and S-K?Who is our Johnson? What are his connections to Novatech and S-K? What kind of connections does he have? What has he been up to lately?
|
If your going ot have a decker look into this stuff you better hurry...
QUOTE |
What room is Kyle staying in target location? What is security like in his building? Is security in-house or third party? If its third party, what company do they use?

Re read the data packet there is some security information in their.
All the question were good questions but I answered some of them in the packet and I don't want to have to reapeat myself too many times. I am as guilty as anyone as skimming over GM handouts so I am not laying smack on anyone.

Yeah, if everyone wants me to hire the decker, I'll get on it asap.
And yeah, I guess I did skim the handout a bit, I'll reread it now. Sorry.

Not sure if you want me to throw in a few social rolls with that last post, so here ya go, just in case:
Etiquette: 05 05 04 03 02 02
Negoiations: 11 05 04 03 02 02
(again, keeping in mind my social edges)
Also, just so you have fair warning, I'm going to be making a few more phone calls to some contacts to ask questions. If you like, I could just make a post to say "I call this person and this person and this person, etc, to find out was much as I can". Or we could role play it all out. Its up to you. I just don't want to monopolize things.
Shadow
Jan 15 2004, 11:15 PM
Feel free to just say, you call the follwoing contacts and ask "this question".
By now you have seen my IC post, no negotiating is availible for these prices. Regardless of any +/- to the rolls. The questions will lead the decker into not one, but two AAA megacorps main frames, along with several munincipal computer systems. You (meaning everyone) may want to rethink your strategy on finding info.

so find out which company they use. When to shift changes happen? What kind of magical protections do they have? Also, find out who they use for maintenance and cleaning crews. What are their schedules? Dig around a little and see how hard it would be to get a few people hacked into their staff. Find out if there are any high-profile people living at the place. Find out which apartment Kyle is staying in and then look up the neighbors. |
That involves hacking a secure database, inserting forged files, and downloading over a secure network. A shadowrun in of itself.
And I think you need to read the packet one more time so you don't waist any money...

This is the part that important,
QUOTE |
The 1249 location is a medium security apartment complex. It has cameras, and on duty guards. It is also linked into the NT security Network. Any significant breaches will garner a Light Security Team response. Because it is patrolled by Corp Security it is exempt from the LoneStar patrols. The facility is not self contained, it contracts for all it's goods from the city. This is all the info we have on the complex. There are at least a half dozen guards on duty at any time. Most of them will be stationary though, 1 at each entrance, 1 at the garage, and one for each building. The building security varies. The R&R building has very light security, the two housing units are keycard entry only, the parking garage is bio-scan entry, the underground tunnels are also bio-mass scan. The security building is the most secure, except for the lobby, which is wide open 24/7. |

Jessie is going to call a few contacts and see what they can dig up.
Joe (the Snitch) - What rumors has he heard about Kyle and does he know anything about the Johnson? Heard any rumors about Optonics or S-K lately?
Leo Gettz (another Fixer) - What does he know about the Johnson and what he has been up to lately? By chance, does he know Kyle? Heard any rumors about Optonics or S-K lately?
Thats it for now, I may dig up a few more if it becomes nessisary.

I read that, but it doesn't give a whole lot of detail, which is something any professional shadowrunner will want to have. Ya know?
Wait, is "Corp Security" the name of the company that does security for the building? If so, I just didn't get that part at all. I thought that Corp Security was just the generic name that just said "not Lone Star".

Jan 15 2004, 11:58 PM
I read the "Corp Security" bit meaning that (as it is exempt from LS patrols) this compound is officially claimed by Nova Tech, and as such, is an extraterritorial entity. With that extraterritoriality, it would mean that corpsec == NT sec.
