The doctor's eyebrows raise just a bit when you imply that you are in a relationship with another woman but otherwise makes no comments until you are done, at which point she shakes her head. "I am afraid not, Cynthia. There are lots of very nice wigs out there, though."

"You seem like a normal, healthy young woman. Your periods will work back to being regular and your hair will grow back. Do you have any other questions?"

Cynthia sighed "I don't want wigs, it'll be itchy... And fake..." Her head dropped a moment, then she raised iot back again "But... No, I don't have any other question. I think. For now." She seemed to think about it, then shook her head. "Is my SIN taken care off? I may have to take a plane next week, so..."

Doctor Neithsin nods. "It will be, yes. All I need to do is sign some forms as the physician of record and have an updated photo taken. Do you wish to change your name for the new SIN?"
Imladir
[Cynthia Rawson - 09:43, Saturday June 15th, Doctor Neithsin's clinic, Seattle] #1135

Cynthia looked surprised "That's a possibility?" She frowned, then shook her head "What would I put there? We're pretty sure I'm not my official parents' child, but that doesn't give me a new name... Would it still be possible later, if I learn who they are, and if I decide to?"

The doctor nods. "Of course. OK, without the name change, most of your new SIN is in place. You will need to see the receptionist outside for the picture and she will send everything forward to the authorities. You will immediately be given a temp SIN, but that should be automatically updated within a couple of business days. ANy questions?"
Imladir
[Cynthia Rawson - 09:43, Saturday June 15th, Doctor Neithsin's clinic, Seattle] #1136

Cynthia shook her head "None that I can think of at the moment no. Thank you." With that, she dressed up and went to see the receptionist for the photo. Once it was done, she went to find Sandy, and hugged her, burying her face in Sandy's neck.

The receptionist smiles as she takes the photo and scans it into the system for you. Five seconds later, she looks up and nods. "All set, Miss Rawson. The new SIN will be a temp for a few days, but you can still use it. Good luck to you."

When you get to sandy, she is already standing and hugs you back. After a few moments without speaking, she lifts your face to hers and kisses you before taking your hand and leaving the clinic. She is quiet all the way to the van, just letting you think, but once inside she looks over at you and asks where you want to go.

Cynthia answers to the kiss with one of her own, and followed Sandy, tightly gripping Sandy's hand. She didn't answer straight away, taking a few seconds to think about the question "I'm not sure... I thought I'd be done much later than that..." A moment later, she added "Let me see if I can get that appointment with the Profs who want to talk to me now. It would make things much easier."

As soon as she said that, she sent a message to the admission office - or directly to the professors she had to meet - to ask them if it would be possible around 11:00.

"In the meantime, I suppose we may as well drive towards downtown." she stayed silent for a few minutes after that, looking outside, but still keeping a hand in contactor with Sandy. At some point, not looking at her, she said "I often had doubts that really was my parents' daughter. My youngest brother is ten years older than I am, they never showed much love and they're blond, whereas...well." she grimaced, stopping for a few seconds before she continued "Of course, most of the time I knew it was silly, and that it was just how things were." the pause lasted longer this time, until she blandly said "But it's very likely that I was right all along..."

"Are you intending to try to find out who your parents are and why......................?" Her question trails off ends in a soft moment of silence.

"Yes." Cynthia answered straight away "But..." She paused, pensive "I don't know what I'd do after that. Probably nothing I suppose." She grimaced "One set of parents who didn't show love is enough for a lifetime, I don't think I need to meet those who didn't even try." She shrugged, trying to give the impression she didn't care much. It didn't take a genius however to notice that all of that weighted heavily on her "They may be dead already anyway. That's pretty much the only good reason I see to have your kid up for adoption..."

Sandy says nothing, but her hand squeezes yours to let you know that she is there for you. The moment is interrupted when you receive a text from Professor James, letting you know that he will be in his offices at 1100 if you want to come by for your interview. Instructions are given for the location of his office.

"We'll see later, not something I can get to the bottom of right now." Cynthia shook herself, then shrugged. She looked at the message she just received, and sent the address to Sandy "Looks like I'll get to take care of that interview business today in the end. Good thing we finished early, I don't when I would have been able to take care of that, what with us going to New York and all that."

She frowned, pensive, then asked "Speaking of which, I wonder how we'll be able to get there, especially if we want to take your drones... Tanya said she'd take care of it, but I doubt it means a regular flight..."

Cynthia shook her head "No idea." She frowned "He's going to test me on a few things, to make sure I can really skip the first few years and go straight for the interesting stuff, but..." She shrugged "He may want to make things difficult. Or on the contrary, try to see how far he can push me." She groaned "I hope he's very good, it would be awkward if I were better than he is..."

She kissed Sandy, deeply "I'll let you know as soon as I have an idea of how it's likely to go.", then exited the van and walked to the office she was supposed to go in.

Professor James actually rates a secretary and she smiles up at you when you enter the office. "You must be the Professor's eleven O'Clock. If you have a seat, I will him know that you are here." She motions to three chairs situated next to a small caf pot on a stand. "Help yourself if you want any, I will be right back." The woman leaves her desk and disappears through a door behind her.

Cynthia nodded "Yes, thank you." She sat down, pensive. After a minute, she stood up and grabbed a mug of coffee. While she waited, she performed some research about Professor James, to know a bit about who he was...and what he was likely to want to hear.

The caf is actually fairly good. You only have time to do a short bit of research, but the main points are that the man has been teaching for twenty-five years, nine of them here at the university. He has a reputation for being a tough instructor. The matrix page you are looking at had mixed reviews, with about half saying he is a bastard who grades way too hard and requires homework to be turned in on time. The other half of the reviews extol his technique and praise what they learned from him.

The secretary returns and smiles at you again. "The professor will see you right away, Miss Lawson. You may take the caf with you." She holds the door open for you to go through.

Cynthia stood up "Thank you." She took her mug with her and entered the office. She didn't mind tough. The "on time" part may be a bit more of an issue, but she'd survive. What mattered more, was to know if he was fair. Something she'd learn soon enough probably. When she reached the desk, she nodded "Good morning Professor James, thanks for seeing me now." As she stood there, she seemed perfectly at ease, as if she didn't doubt that whatever was asked of her she'd be able to answer satisfactorily. Or maybe it was that she wasn't aware there were any stakes. Meanwhile, she studied the James, as he was no doubt doing the same to her.

Professor Robert James stands as you enter the room and motions to a chair in front of his desk, indicating that you should take a seat. He looks to be in his late forties, trim, fit, and in good health. He has a full head of light brown hair and a nose that looks like it has been broken a couple of times in the past. He is wearing a three piece suit, although the jacket is hanging over the back of his chair. He smiles at you as you sit down and then sits himself. "It was no problem, Miss Rawson, I had an early lecture this morning and this fits easily into my schedule. I am sure that you understand that your request to attend my class without the prerequisites being completed is a bit unusual, but it is not unheard of. Some students are simply more prepared than others. But it does mean that I need to do this interview to judge for myself if you are one of those students. Have you had a chance to read the syllabus?"
Imladir
[Cynthia Rawson - 10:55, Saturday June 15th, Professor James' Office, University of Washington, Seattle] #1143

"I understand perfectly." She smiled lightly "It's a perfectly sound thing to do after all." She frowned then and shook her head "I was told there would be interviews, but that's pretty much all." She shrugged "But since your questions will be about stuff I should know before going to your classes, it shouldn't be an issue, right? At worse, if you give me a couple of minutes, I can read the first few chapters." After a small pause, she added "I read pretty fast."

Professor James waves his hand. "It is good that you can read fast and maybe even remember what you read, but all of the students I accept for this class can do that. There are a talent and a need that can set you apart from the norm. The talent is to not only read and remember, but to comprehend the material. The need is a determined hunger, a thirst for knowledge if you will. If you have those attributes I am interested in you as a student. If you do not have them, you are wasting my time and your money. So, do you think that you have those?"
Imladir
[Cynthia Rawson - 10:57, Saturday June 15th, Professor James' Office, University of Washington, Seattle] #1144

Cynthia blinked a few times "If I didn't want to learn, why else would I be here?" She seemed puzzled for a moment, then frowned "If I just wanted to be a random student, I wouldn't go to the trouble of making sure the content of the courses I'm following is interesting, no? So of course I have those."

The professor nods. "Sure, everyone wants to learn, but I am talking about a thirst for knowledge, not just some desire to learn enough to pass a test and get a passing grade. But I like what you are saying about yourself and am willing to test you. If you are ready, I will begin?"

At your nod, Professor James begins asking questions about the subject matter, although you do think that some of the questions seem a bit odd. He does not hurry you through the questions, but he seems quite interested in your answers.

Cynthia shrugged "I'm not here for the grades. I already earn enough without a diploma." She paused, considering. When she talked again, it was pretty obvious she was talking about something she hadn't considered for long, or not completely anyway, and was still unsure of it "But I think I'd like to become a researcher... Anyway." She nodded, and answered the Professor's questions.

She answered as best she could, not necessarily trying to go to the very bottom of things unless prompted too. If the professor seemed willing to, she would be happy to. After all, she hadn't really talked with many people about the Matrix, not like that anyway. She knew a lot of things, she had seen a lot of things, but in many cases her knowledge was more hands-on than theoretical. However, thanks to her many experiences, she was likely able to make the links she had missed when prompted to.

The only thing she didn't talk about was her being a Technomancer, and she avoided as much as possible any possible hint that she was one. Of course, to someone really knowledgeable, it may not be so easy...

Professor James does not stick to the easy questions, often asking one that follow on from your answers and require some serious though from you. A few you just flat out do not know the answer to. At the end, he steeples his fingers and looks at you for a moment then nods his head. "Alright, Miss Rawson, You have satisfied me that you are interested enough and knowledgeable enough for this class. I expect that it will challenge your ideas about the matrix and perhaps lead to some very good theoretical research. There is a great deal that is assumed by the general public that just might not be true. Thank you for coming by. I will let the enrollment office know that I will accept you. Do you have any questions for me?"

Cynthia looked pleased. She shook her head to answer that she didn't have any question, but changed her mind mid way and asked one "Just one. I went to Professor Freed's introduction of her semester's course. What do you think about it?"

The man's eyes narrow just a bit. "Professor Freed? She is a brilliant scholar. Much of what she teaches is theoretical at best...........for now. But remember, much of what we now call hard science was just theories at one point. She has some revolutionary ides that could turn a lot of heads if she is right. If that is what you want to get into, she is a good place to start. Anything else?"
Imladir
[Cynthia Rawson - 11:43, Saturday June 15th, Professor James' Office, University of Washington, Seattle] #1147

Cynthia nodded "I am indeed interested by that." She paused "There were some in the staff there who spent more time jeering than anything else, so..." She shrugged "I'm glad you're not one of them." while she didn't say more on the subject, it was pretty clear she hadn't ask to get an opinion on the course itself...but more to form an opinion on the teacher himself.

After a second or two, she shook her head "No other question no."

After a few pleasantries, it is obvious that the interview is over and the professor stands to shake your hand and escort you back to the small room where Sandy is waiting. She looks up at you and smiles as she stands. Professor James walks over and shakes her hand as well and then the two of you are outside the office, headed back to the van. Sandy reaches for your hand and squeezes it gently. "How did it go? I take it that the smile mean that you are in?"
Imladir
[Cynthia Rawson - 11:47, Saturday June 15th, Professor James' Office, University of Washington, Seattle] #1148

Cynthia answered airily, flipping her head back as if she were looking down on everything "Ah, of course, i dazzled him with my brilliance, there never was a doubt." she switched back to a more normal stance and with a grin kissed Sandy quickly. She skipped ahead by a few steps, then turned around as if she were dancing, which slightly raised her dress, and walking backwards, her hands behind her back, she asked "Alright, where to now?" she frowned "I dont know why, but I kinda messed up the planning. I was pretty sure we'd have to get Claudia as soon as we came back, but we have at least two hours." for a second she looked hungry, looking intensely at Sandy "Well, I know what I'd like to do, but it wouldn't be fair without her."

She was about to say more when she bumped into someone. Walking backwards wasn't exactly the best way to walk for a reason after all. She turned around, and a bit ashamed apologized profusely.

The young man behind you holds out a hand to steady you and smiles, even though he is wiping at a stain from the coffee cup in his hand that seems to have splashed on him. "No harm done. Far too many stains on this thing already. A new one will just look natural." He shifts the mostly empty cup to his left hand and holds out his right. "Mark Brandon. You know, if you really feel guilty, you could let me buy you a cup of mildly bad caf at the Student Union building?"

[Cynthia Rawson - 11:47, Saturday June 15th, Professor James' Office, University of Washington, Seattle] #1149

Cynthia blushed, really embarrassed "I'm sorry, I should have watched where I was going..." She shook the offered hand "Cynthia." she then glanced at Sandy "For the coffee, not now sorry." she shook her head "We already have plans and we're going to be late..." she seemed torn though. Not that she really wanted to take a coffee with Mark - not that it was his fault - but while she didn't want to give him the impression that she was interested in him, she felt she needed to do something to apologize for the coffee stain "Oh, but you should send me the bill for the laundry to remove that, it's the least I can do..."

Mark smiles (nice smile) and chuckles. "Yeah, that's always how it goes. A couple of cute girls bump into me, spill some caf, refuse offer to buy caf, cute girls offer to clean jacket, never see girls again. Always happens, Must be my personality or something." He laughs and pulls a 'link from his pocket. "OK, you don't really need to pay for the cleaning, but if that is the only way to get your number, I'll take a chance. Give me your commcode and I will let you know the damages."
Imladir
[Cynthia Rawson - 11:47, Saturday June 15th, University of Washington Campus, Seattle] #1150

"Sure." Cynthia's first intention was to just register her commcode by creating a new contact directly, but... That kind of things was technically illegal. Maybe not just "technically". So instead, she just gave it to Mark, letting him write it down. Once done, she glanced at Sandy "We'd better get going." then added "Sorry again."

Once away, she kept silent for a moment, then grumbled "Before, he wouldn't even have looked at me. Would probably have grumbled that I needed to look where I was going, but not want my number." She snorted. Of course, it was difficult to say if in that particular case it would have been true, but more than that, there was something that Cynthia didn't take into account: in addition to the obvious physical changes, she was more self assured, more vibrant and less mousy. Just that may explain a lot of the reactions she was getting.

Mark takes the number and slips it into his pocket with a smile as you and Sandy walk away. Sandy chuckles at your comment. "Maybe, but you don't know that. He seems rather nice. Do you think he will call you?"

Back at the van, Sandy turns to you after buckling in. "So, where to?"

She snorted "I could just remove mine from his 'link, it would be pretty easy after all. But…" She sighed "I did spill his coffee after all."

In the van, Cynthia didn't answer straight away, her head on Sandy's shoulder. Finally, she said "Maybe we can have lunch home? We should have time and since we have to go there to pick Claudia anyway…"

Sandy puts an arm around you and strokes your hair. She kisses the top of your head and talks softly. "Home it is." The van moves off from the parking lot, heading back to Cajun Town.

On the way back, the clouds that had been threatening all morning break into a true downpour, adding to the overall somber atmosphere. Sandy remains quiet as she holds onto you and lets the van drive itself. Even after the van pulls into the parking lot, she just holds you, letting you know that she is there.

Cynthia didn't say much on the way either. She wasn't tired, she just felt...maybe melancholic wasn't the right word, but it was close enough. She seemed pretty content to just be held without anything else. It had been less than a minute that the van had been parked outside of the Cajun town before Cynthia moved. She kissed Sandy's lips with a smile, then said "Let's go."

On the way to the house, Cynthia didn't let go of Sandy's hand, up to the point where they met Claudia. Then, she went to the slightly older girl...her second girlfriend, which kinda felt surreal said like that... and hugged her, burying her face in Claudia's chest.

Sandy had handed you one of the umbrellas she has stashed in the van and takes one for herself before leaving the van and is quite happy to hold your hand while walking. Despite the rain, there are a few people about, but no tourists. The pair of you receive nods and greetings from those you encounter. The carriage is waiting, its top up to help protect you from the downpour. At home, your umbrellas and coats are taken by one of the maids, who has appeared as if by magic.

Claudia is standing in the large hall when you arrive and welcomes the embrace, putting her arms around you and holding you tightly. The two of you are joined in the embrace by Sandy. No words are spoken.

After maybe a minute, a deep sigh escapes Cynthia, one of those who go hand in hand with a big release of tension. She moved her hands a little then, putting them on Claudia's back...under her top. As she did, she raised her head and, maybe for the first time, kissed deeply the other girl. One of those kisses who can quickly become much more than simple kisses.

Giving a soft moan of pleasure, Claudia returns the kiss with a great passion, her tongue lightly pushing against your lips until they part and give access to her. You are aware of little besides the kiss except for the feel of Claudia's hand on your back and Sandy's arms wrapped about both of you. When the kiss breaks, Claudia is breathing a bit hard. She takes one of your hands in hers and one of Sandy's in the other and motions with her head to the stairway. No words have been spoken by any of the three of you as Claudia gently leads everyone to the stairs and your bedroom.

Cynthia followed. Once on the bed, she seemed more interested in giving pleasure than receiving it. Not that she'd be against it of course, but she put to good use the recent "lesson" she had taken on the subject of pleasuring a girl. She caressed, kissed, licked and sucked the flesh of her girlfriends. The only thing she didn't do was to penetrate anything, outside of their mouths anyway. Probably because it had never - yet - been the subject of their activities. Up to that point anyway. All along though, she stayed as close to the two girls as she could, as if she somehow was feeling cold, and was hoping to find some heat there.

No real words are spoken for for an hour and a half, although there are lots of other noises coming from all three girls. Claudia takes time to show you and Sandy what can be done with tongue and fingers and the feelings of pleasure and ecstasy take all of you through a couple of orgasms each. In the end, all of you are used up and you are on the bed, sandwiched by Sandy and Claudia, both holding you.

To say that Cynthia felt good would be quite the understatement. The orgasms were certainly a part of it, there was no denying that. Her current position though, between Sandy and Claudia, probably had as much to do with how she felt. It was almost funny how she could be so self-assured, present an iron-willed personality and appear unsinkable in public, but be so...vulnerable...in private. Not that she really thought about it, after all, she was at best dimly aware of it herself.

After a few minutes spent just lying there, eyes closed and her breath tickling the skin in front of her nose, she turned her head slightly to look at Claudia "For the FBI, did you finish..." She stopped then, eyes opening wide and grimaced "Oh... We didn't even leave and we're already late, and with that thing with the farmers, there's no way we can go to Taylor's now... She's going to kill me... We weren't supposed to pick everything today so it's not that bad but..." She grimaced again.

Claudia nods. "I have some infor.................." She pauses as you interrupt, then continue. ".......information for you. I can send it you your 'link. Quick story is that all seem legit and honest."

"Well, the problem with delivery is that I didn't pay yet… And I'm pretty sure she'll want me to before she delivers anything." Cynthia grimaced, pensive. After a couple of seconds, she grunted "No matter what, I can't go now, and I have to call anyway… So…" She sighed and did just that »Taylor [Cynthia]: Hey, something has come up and I won't be able to come today, sorry it's come late like that, I've just now seen the time. I'll take everything in one go. Tomorrow?«

Done with that, she focused on her FBI question, slightly frowning "All of them are clean? I wasn't expecting that, even if they have more reasons that others to stay like that…" She shook her head "I was expecting that some of them would be more… I don't know, cowboys? But well, if they're clean, they're clean." She hesitated for a second or two, then decided to send a message to Senior Agent Stanley Sergeant. In the absence of any other criterion, she supposed a senior agent would have more resources to deal with what she had to give. »Stanley Sergeant [Nimue]: I have assembled a good amount of information regarding the operation of a branch of Seattle's Yakusa, information I'd like to be seen put to good use. Meet me in Host CM345-4892, room 89T at 17:30, to talk about it if you're interested.«

She shook her head, and answered Taylor »Taylor [Cynthia]: Thanks. For tomorrow… I don't think I have anything planned yet but… Is there some time I should avoid?«

Receiving Sergeant's answer, she grunted "The FBI agent doesn't trust 'links. Good for him I suppose but that means he wants to meet." She grumbled "That can only go pear-shaped when he realizes the person who wants to give him the data is a seventeen years old girl… And that's assuming he doesn't want to do anything else than talk."

»Stanley Sergeant [Nimue]: Meet? Err… It's probably best if you do not know who gave you the data… After all, if you want to act on the data, something I really hope you will, you'd have to tell who gave you that, right?«

>>Nimue [Stanley Sergeant]: I can keep you anonymous except under certain circumstances. In fact, if your information is good enough, I would prefer that you remain anonymous................to everyone but me. I need to meet with you.<<

»Taylor [Cynthia]: Sure, no problem, I'll warn you when I'm on my way.«

Cynthia grumbled a bit more when she read her next message. It looked like he didn't plan to make things easy for her. She didn't answer straight away, thinking about what she wanted to do, absent-mindedly caressing the thigh of the girl in front of her. After a couple of minute, she finally sent »Stanley Sergeant [Nimue]: It'll be either late tonight or tomorrow.« After a second, remembering that she had an appointment at the clinic at noon, she added »Stanley Sergeant [Nimue]: If tomorrow, in the morning, I'm not free in the afternoon.«
