I agree. If you guys are ready to go, I'll fast-forward back to the rose at about 9:00am so you can meet Jimmy for the SUV. Who's going with to get the car? Everyone or just a sub-set of the group?

I know I am going to drive it, but I dunno how I'm getting there or who is gonna be with us.

I think its always a good idea for everyone to go as a group, but thats just me. Either way, Akuma would want to be there.

Nov 19 2003, 05:18 PM
Its okay to fast forward, looks like we need it a bit anyways, otherwise if you still talk about planning we will never get it done
TinkerGnome

Mojo will ride along, under a force 5 improved invisbility spell
Elfie
Nov 20 2003, 04:58 AM
Are we going to pick up the SUV and then do the run during the day, or are we gonna pick up the SUV and wait until nightfall? If we're going to just pick up the SUV and then kill time, Lex will join you guys. If we're going to pick up the SUV and then do the run, I'll stay home on overwatch and wait for your signal.
TinkerGnome
Nov 20 2003, 12:47 PM
I last heard we were going to wait for nightfall, which is fine by me provided we make sure our target hasn't moved before we go in.

Nov 20 2003, 01:42 PM
Okay, I bumped the IC thread forward to 9:00am when you guys meet Jimmy. After that, we can fast forward to when ever it is that you want to perform the run in my opinion. Elfie: I'll be around for a little while today around lunch and tomorrow after 6:00 if you want to do the matrix stuff off-board and then I'll post a summary like last time. If not, then Saturday night perhaps?

Elfie

I'm around Thursday night and Friday aftenoon/night if you want. I'd like to do one last look at that security, then it looks like I'm just on overwatch.

How are things going with the Matrix run Elfie?

Nov 23 2003, 09:24 PM
It's Elfie's 21st birthday this weekend, so we haven't had the chance, yet. He's been out with the family and plans on heading out again tonight. We'll get to it, I promise

Ok, we'll wait on you guys to get things going, its cool.

What are the connectivity options for you guys over Thanksgiving? Are people going to be around? Also, when do you want to actually do the run? Should I fast forward to tonight on the boards?

Grey
Nov 25 2003, 03:56 PM
I think Elfie is still going to look into those gaurds for us, to see if they really are with Lone Star and also the hospitol to make sure things are still cool there.
As far as Thanksgiving goes... I've got 4 different houses I've got to visit, so I'll likely not be online much that day, but I'll be free the day before and after with no problems.

Ok, how about we finish planning things out this week and Elfie can finish his info gathering runs. Next week we shoot for doing the actual run on the hospitol.
Sound good?

I'm not dead! And I swear that I want to move this forward now after the holidays. Elfie and I will get the matrix stuff up by tomorrow (Tuesday) night if I have to roll all of the dice myself!! Then we should be ready to leap towards tonight and get the ball really rollin!

So right now, game time, its mid morning, right? So we have plenty of time to plan and work out the kinks.

Exactly. I probably put it sometime between 10:00am and 11:00am. You can specify if you desire.
Grey
Dec 3 2003, 08:59 PM
Good enough for me. We'll get the plan of action polished off and shoot at doing the run tonight (game time at least).
Elfie
Dec 4 2003, 03:13 AM
Yeah, I was thinking the group would try to do the run this evening (game time). If we wait any longer, we risk Sophia being alerted to our presence (which looks like she already is, or maybe she's just paranoid), or Gio being moved.

Would my knowledge skill of Police Procedures help me figure out how the Star would react to different situations while guarding the room?
If they hear a noise, do they both go in, or just one? How long it would take for backup to arrive once they've made the call (but actually, I've got a Jammer to deal with that
). Are they allowed breaks while on duty (ie. bathroom/smoke breaks)?
Police Procedures (+1 die for Memonic Enhancer): 05 11 05 05
Dashifen
Dec 4 2003, 09:06 PM
You would assume that if they hear a noise disturbing enough to cause them to look in, they would both investigate -- or with one awakened guard, they may not have to go in to investigate.
For backup to arrive, any hospital security forces could probably respond within a minute or two as they're on site. Any Star backup might take between five and ten minutes depending on the location of the backup forces at that time.
They would probably be allowed breaks, but never at the same time. Plus, it would depend on their level of professionalism if they left to go to the cafeteria for food or if they would bring it with them to eat on duty.
The other thing you would probably be able to figure out is that most people on guard duty loose interest over time. So, you could try to walk the fine line between the current guards disinterest and the arrival of their replacements.
Everyone loves a roll of 11.
Elfie
Dec 5 2003, 11:12 PM
I'm ready to do the extraction whenever you guys are. As far as hashing out an actual plan, that's not my character's thing, I'll back you up on Matrix, and play with whatever you ask.
Grey
Dec 5 2003, 11:28 PM
I'm just waiting for people to give me some feedback on the plan I came up with. So far you are the only one to reply. Once I hear yes from everyone we can start figuring out when the best time to do it is.
Dash> Do we know when the guards doing their shift changes?
TinkerGnome
Dec 6 2003, 05:25 AM
Hmm... I'm still in favor of the plan we had a while ago. The mage working his mojo from outside (where he's likely to go unnoticed) and levitating our target from the window. Of course, that is the plan the mage is obviously going to take
Elfie
Dec 6 2003, 09:59 PM
For those wondering, I've got a Pistol skill of 5 (6 with EA), AR skill of 5 (6) Launch/Grenade of 2/4 (with task pool of 3) athletics of 3(4) stealth of 4(5) and with an etiquette and negotiaions 6 I'd probably be able to do any fast talking on the inside. This is all, assuming, of course, that you decide to put Lex on the inside during the run...

well for OOC prep, since it looks like I'm coming along, I can just deck from the Car (hooray for FreeSat!). And since I'm going to be in the car, I don't have to worry about concealing things, so my Ares Alpha is coming with me (I've always wanted to say that). I don't plan on using it, but just in case. Naturally, my deck is coming with me. BodySuit and Sec Vest (6/3 effective) armor.

Right, I thought she was on the roof -- at the beginning.
Also, @Grey: I didn't even think of the sunlight allergy when I rolled up the weather -- damn. Oh well -- Sucks to be me. No, it's cloudy enough that it's a mild irritant, but you'll proabably be okay if you wear a hat or something.

I'll edit the list and put a + to things that he'll have on his person.
edit: actually, after looking the list over again, the only thing that he won't have on him is the Rifle, that he'll leave in the van. Everything else is either stashed under his coat or in his backpack.

Now that I think of it, My Ares will have 6 Offensive HE minigrenades in it, just incase I need to be firing at whatever's following us if the getaway's not so clean. The Browning's on me with Ex-Ex, so is the Ares with Ex-Ex. Figure if I need to be firing at all, we're fragged anyway.
