Akuma pulls out his Dikoted Katana and cuts into the flooring of the car, making room for himself to get at the bug.

Quick thing, my cell phone VIBRATES. any shadowrunner worth his salt wouldn't leave a cell phone on 'ring' just because of this reason.
second thing, is it possible to plug in the cell phone to my data jack, so I could use the transucer to talk without making any noise?

Hrm ... I honestly don't recall. I think I have all of the PMs between us on my laptop where I have all of my notes. Let me look when I get back. Forgot to answer this one. You know his as Duster, but that's got to be a nickname or street name. He's a cybered mercenary that fights with shotguns and a hand blade concealed within a cyberarm. You're family has used him before to deal with problems that they don't really want traced back to them. His reputation is that of a professional. Ironically, he has an interest in cooking much like you and through that you've had a few conversations with him in the past.

Damn, that was nice. So, if you want to use the re-roll on your karma point for the second roll you'd have 5 successes to split amoung healing and reducing the base time. Let me know how you want to do it. If you use your karma pool for that one you wouldn't have it back, yet. I usually run that you can use your karma pool once per run.

Blitz
Jan 28 2004, 11:58 PM
What do you mean, reducing base time? I thought healing was simply success = # of boxes healed up to max force of spell.
Grey
Jan 29 2004, 12:01 AM
Nope. Say you get 5 successes. You can heal 4 boxes and use 1 success to half the time you need to sustain the spell to make it permanent.
Dashifen
Jan 29 2004, 12:33 AM
Right -- concidering you had a lot of time, you could just heal the 5 boxes and he'd be doing a lot better, but if you think that Sophia would have been worried about getting caught, then you might have wanted to speed things up a little.
Anyway, here's what Sophia knows about Medea, since Duster just dropped her name. Since the rest of you haven't heard about her yet in characeter, concider this information for Blitz alone, but since Blitz will eventually end up explaining things to you IC, I decided to just put it here and not in a PM to Blitz alone. Plus, this is just easier.
Medea Caroletto is a cousin of yours known for her vindictive nature. She's a mage that is extremely potent and is known for using elementals to help her get things done. She's also the one that Gio was trying to tango with that got him all banged up. She's one of the family's favorite assets since she's also knowledgable about the Astral plane, and as a result, she's often been an asset in an information gathering way. She was one of the first of your family in this area as your family began to try to take operations away from the Rosselis.

Third, Lex is loaded for bear in the SUV with all his stuff. That includes the tricked out Ares Alpha, Max Power (both with ExEx), deck, Medkit, and the electronics toolkit. Figured I wasn't gonna leave the SUV during the hospital run, so no harm in bringin all my stuff just incase.

Rowan: thanks for the gear update.
Elfie: the same. For the sake of saving time/space on the IC thread here's what you got off of the bodies. Their wallets were intact with ID inside. But, their holsters were empty. Who ever killed them must have disarmed them first, but you do recall that there didn't seem to be signs of a struggle.

Dashifen
Jan 30 2004, 03:41 PM
You were told this through your family. I doesn't really matter who, but the story your family had was that Gio was gunning for Medea because Medea killed Ray Rosselli. When you found out that your family knew about Gio's ambush, you rushed out to try and head him off. When you got there, you found Gio being loaded into an ambulance and the rest is history. Speaking of which:
Memory(4): 17 15 05 05 02 01 #D:6 TN:4 HR:17 S:4
It's struck you as odd, though, that if Medea were going to turn the tables on Gio when he came to kill her that Gio would have been shot. Medea, after all, is a mage and an accomplished one at that.
